Lagos, Eko na npebi! South west is making progress. Like play, like play Ogun State has overtaken and dusted Delta State and now giving Rivers a hot chase. Oyo State has improved tremendously since Makinde came in but should be competing with Delta at least. Ondo has a lot of potentials too. Certainly,Osun and Ekiti States will improve.

1. Air Peace, Overland and Green Africa operate nearly daily flights to Akure.

2. Air Peace and Overland operate nearly daily flights to Ibadan.

3. Ekiti Airport is almost ready in Ado Ekiti. As a matter of fact, Fayemi may commission it before vacating office.

4. Ogun State Cargo Airport in Remo land is ongoing and will be commissioned next year.

5. Osun State during Aregbesola tenure started an Airport construction in Ido Osun but stalled due to paucity of fund.

6. Lagos is about to commence construction of a brand new airport in addition to the existing one built and operated by the Federal Government

South West is really making progress in this aspect. By this time next year, the region would have 5 airports operating, while Lagos new airport will be nearing completion. Osun airport will come back on stream some day.

I can see that many southern Nigerians are politically naive and uninformed. I live in northern Nigeria but I am a southerner. I recently made a trip to Lagos and the Uber man that took me to the airport, of course a southerner from the east, was trying to market Obi to me. I asked a simple question if he believed Obi could win and he answered in affirmative. I later lectured him that Obi can’t even get close talkless of winning. He became sad and dejected because he was eventually convinced that winning is a mission impossible for Obi.

In Lagos, I engaged some colleagues that I though were informed because of their level of education but there is no difference between them and the Uber guy. They also believed the noise on social media. Anyway, they also surrendered to superior arguments and became disoriented.
