I have been off fit sometime now and as I was going through the thread I saw your update. Am so sorry dear. I know how u feel now but just dust and pick yourself up. God is in control . I'm worried for me too.. If I mail them what will happen? They'll say its still within their processing times ( that 21weeks whatever on their site). I remember when blink6 went to vfs after he passed his meds and no update afterwards, they were told to wait.
I'm praying that whatever comes will be positive.. I have this mindset that everything happens for a reason, so that has helped me to pray rather than worry.

He should go renew his passport simple as that. If he sort them well, he might get the new pp same day or nxt atmost.

Hello Halimaah, I guess you mean passport. If yes, the person should get a new passport, the visa will still be valid if the date on it isn't expired.

@mrnilobrawn I saw on my email that you tried to send me a PM. And below that, I also saw an email from cic. Immediately, I knew it was a delay because I was expecting an update and not their email. So, normal you have not satisfied me, blah blah: Travel History, Family Ties in Canada and Home Country, Length of Stay and Purpose of visit. Submitted all documents excluding my academic docs. But that not withstanding, they give who they wanna give and delay who they wanna delay. But I don't have time or money to waste for now, so, I'm on to the next one (Plan B) surely not to repackage and refire. Maybe I will go into Canada later after my Plan B, without going through much stress. Bless... In Btwn. I noticed they have been delaying Colleges and giving more trvs to Uni applicant. I may be wrong though. May God help us.

Yes you can study but you have to apply for a study permit. You can work as a student within the limits for students. As for me, I'm still in the hunt for a job within my profession. I hope to sort that out shortly by God's grace

I am currently in canada.
My wife just graduated at the time I applied for a visitor's visa, as part of the documents I submitted were
A letter of invitation
our marriage cert
her post graduate work permit
a letter from my employer
my bank statement (I had <200k at that time)

Note that Canadian immigration supports the family so you have a high chance if you can prove that you and your spouse are actually spouses.

As for the work permit, I applied as soon as I got to Canada in June. I applied for change of status, I did my medicals here and was denied athe first because I forgot to scan some of my wife's documents because she had starting working by then.
I reapplied in July and it was granted.

I hope this makes some sense...please don't hesitate to ask further questions

Check your cic account, there is always an attachment under your refusal.Try and use a laptop/desktop to recheck and not your phone.

My own don pain me pass dis 2015 na trv year for we all... NGU.... Never give up.... It is well smile jare God pass VO dem... Dear Halimaah, using the spousal route could be a very good option for you but you need to understand that CIC now has your record for reference. My question is this, was you fiance name included in your app as either common-law partner or spouse? If no, please don't use that route for now. I will then advise that you try again and get it right. We have seen people who did that here so you a big chance.

Halimaah for the spousal route, you have to be married to go through it with it.. Just be calm.. I believe you should try one more time.

I just saw the documents u submitted and they are very ok.. most times these VOs can be very funny. There are people that submitted less documents and were approved.. it is well.. If you dont wanna apply through student anymore but through marriage, you will have to show proofs that you and your fiancee are married.. say pictures, marriage certificate and any other thing that can spice it up but i would advice you dont apply immediately considering the fact that you just got denied study visa so it dosent look like you are desperate.... But while researching about the spousal route u might wanna give the study one a last shot, u never can tell, this might just be it

Painful. But after every dark tunnel, there is always light. I was wondering though, did you add your LOA from school? Asking because you didn't mention that. Also, did you pay your tuition fee? In addition, were you waiting for your medical call up or you did it upfront? I am sure the knowledgeable and experienced family members will have a look and proffer solutions. in btwn, I am also waiting to hear from them and hoping for the best. The fact that they did this after waiting for 10 weeks really makes me worried, but still hopeful. God will do the best. He knows our hearts.

Sorry about that Halimaah however, if you must go through your fiancee. You will have to provide evidence that you are married. With that in place, I think that should give you a good chance. I applied for a visitor's visa with the reason that I was visiting my wife. I got my visa in 4 days and after arriving here, I applied for a work permit which I got after 2 attempts.
Please don't give up, consider the two options available to you and ensure that know have sufficient documents to backup your applications irrespective of the option you choose. I wish you favor. My humble opinion.

Oh my this is really sad . Well at least you know where you stand and the annoying wait is over. I think the suggestion of you deferring and a re-fire is a good one instead of having to wait on the dependent route. It is well.
