In all my years as a Southerner, I HAVE NEVER SEEN even a case of child-marriage. Prove me otherwise and show me ONE, just ONE CASE! Shariah law and all its attendant stupidities and medievalism are not present ANYWHERE in the South. If otherwise, show one ONE CASE of it.

Terrorism is NOT present in the South. Southerners do not go about blowing up themselves for God, kidnapping female children for sex-slavery and child marriages, blowing up religious places, markets and other gatherings.
Religious intolerance is also not present in the South. Muslims can build mosques anywhere and have peace of mind. There is no segregation or special areas (Sabon Garis) for Muslims in the South. If otherwise, prove me wrong.



I can go on and on but I have made my point. Until you prove me wrong, better start accepting the fact that your region is f*cked up and needs emergency intervention to set your people's brain on a more progressive scale.

I understand your plight but education and continuous sensitization is the key , however the regions still lags behind in education A lot need to be done by the government to help issues in this regard..

If they didn't know that it is only their people that commit paedophile in Nigeria, why should they be on the defensive? After all, Yorubas also answer Muslim names like those in the news. Why didn't they think you were referring to Yoruba Muslims?

It's easy for people to call others names but they all know the truth that Nigeria's North is a messed up region; extremism, child-abuse, child-marriage, shariah law (in a country with a standard Constitution), violence, intolerance, terrorist activities, and so much more There is crime everywhere in Nigeria but even the most hardened criminals in the South will NEVER dare to marry an under-aged child.

The man took advantage of your youth, don't feel bad about that, and don't let anyone made you feel bad. You are in a better place than he would ever be and many of the others calling you names. I have met many Nigerian men on social media. Ultimately, many of the conversations gravitate to coming here to visit me--with all the expenses paid by me (lol). I am not in the market for a mail order husband, besides there is a large community of Nigerian men here. And I have dated many Nigerian men with some good experiences and some not so good--that's life. As with any relationship, use common sense--don't give your heart or "panties" up too soon before you really know the type of person you are dealing with.
