My oracle never said 'ajirebi' will be governor of the pace setters state again-history has a way of repeating itself,Frm Unlce Bola Ige-Omololu Olunloyo-Kolapo Ishola-Lam Adesina-Rasidi Ladoja-our own Chris Alao Akala nearly all aforementioned tried re-election to no avail. 'Isiaka'soka' received more money than any other governor in the history of oyo with little or nothing to show for it, couple with refusal to conduct LG election. Politics / Joint Ownership Of Lautech by hallmar08(m): 9:23pm On Dec 01, 2014
JOINT OWNERSHIP OF LAUTECH – MY STAKE…
I learnt on the job how Oyo State University of Technology (OSUTECH), Ogbomoso became a jointly owned educational institution when Osun division which had been part of Oyo State was carved out to become a State on its own. The University was eventually, renamed as Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso and it became jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States. Along the line, the Oyo State government under the administration of Christopher Alao Akala, an Ogbomoso man, no longer appreciated the bond, especially when Osun State eventually built and started to fund its newly built Osun State University. The then government of Oyo State attempted to severe from the unprofitable relationship so that University could be solely owned by Oyo state. The attempt was however vehemently opposed by successive governments and indigenes of Osun State who clinged on to consolidate on their exerted political and leadership influence on LAUTECH. The development did not matter much to the non-embarrassed, the less-suspecting, pretentious Oyo State government. It was however, an embarrassment especially, to some sons and daughters of Ogbomoso in whose community the University is privilegely, located and who are insiders enough to know the intrigues and the game plans involved.
The catastrophic development that progresses with LAUTECH has been so convenient for an Ibadan man; Ajimobi led administration of Oyo government, after Akala. And, of course, he could chuckle and grin at such a pre-arranged loss of grounds to Osun State by accepting the joint ownership of LAUTECH on political grounds. After all, the game plan is to re-insulate Ibadan economy at the expense of Ogbomoso by building in Ibadan a new Oyo state University of Technical Education. Something that Alao Akala could only dare on the ground that it would be sited on Ibadan land, or which House of Assembly of Oyo State would have approved that another University should not be situated in Ibadan... When this deed is perfected and finally done, LAUTECH could then be bastardized by both the Ibadan over-lordship in the governance of Oyo State and the Osun State plunderers. This can only be correctly read by the truly concerned Ogbomoso children who know and can understand the unfortunate socio-political curses that have for years bedeviled the economy of their town in the hands of Ibadan brotherhood manipulators. Do a mental exclusion of the presence of a truly functional LAUTECH from Ogbomoso and show what otherwise Oyo government has for the economy of the town on which it adjudicates on lands and taxes. The silent cries of our people with their tiny voices, efforts and struggle to get a needed fairness are what some misguided Osun indigene colleagues perceived wrongly as a ploy to get them evicted from their jobs in LAUTECH or dislodge them. Waoh! How universal can the University get, if that would be done...
I know my Osun friends well and their dexterity with talks, winding of facts, decoration of lies with assumptions, and their politics. And uh, they have their print and electronic media gurus and the noises; all these cooking the ‘books’ and stories about fights, wounds and hatred. Well, these fellows were there with us and for us in Ibadan; and back in their cradle, one can just expect more of their stocks in trade.

NON AND LATE PAYMENT OF WORKERS SALARIES

Non and late payment of workers salaries that are currently being experienced in LAUTECH is not unusual. Governments at Federal or State levels do it and their workers take it lightly and calmly in the best interest of the public, and now they are used to it. For us at LAUTECH, owner-governments’ commitment to prompt payment of workers salaries, release of fund by the government of the bionic clingers as payment for arrears of salaries and benefits, release of capital grants for the University’s developments should be the sure proof of why the fight to be glued. Doing so would show that not only do they value education, they even care so much about LAUTECH and its campus. CREDITS TO AKIN ODESOLA

Noted but still doesn't change the fact that most Moslems are wicked, I lived n work in their midst I know how much they oppressed n sideline non-moslems.

1. Saudi Arabia is not the headquarters of Islam. Muslims have no headquarters. Saudi Arabia is only the location where the muslim Qibla is sited, and where muslims go for hajj.

2. No country witholds its visa on the basis of religion. They withold visas mostly when an applicant comes from a country which may have a bad reputation for drugs, prostitution, 419 and other vices, and the applicant can show no tangible reason for applying for a visa, no visible source of income; and often makes multiple false claims on his visa application.

3. There could be up to 3 million non muslim foreign workers in Saudi Arabia (none of which was forcefully dragged to Saudi Arabia from his/her country). They make their money and go back. Saudi Arabia still remains one of the destinations of choice for foreign workers. No swords are used on them.

I hope this helps your 'research'.

5. Islam is a religion that promotes peace but not at the expense of allowing oneself to be oppressed. Islam prescribes peace when peace is offerred. It permits self-defence as a practical code of conduct.

6. ISIS, AlQaeda, the Taliban etc were mostly created and trained by the western governments to create havoc in Arab countries, or fight Russia for them. Check their histories. Both Bin Laden and alBaghdadi; among others; were trained by the US, then went out of control.

There is a difference between fighting for a just cause in Islam, and using the name of Islam to fight for no just cause.
Politics / Fayose Bombed Obasanjo by hallmar08(m): 1:00am On Nov 30, 2014
Hear what Fayose said to Obasanjo

“I will differ a bit, we need to hit the nail on the head. We are dealing with monsters and we need to treat them as monsters. My name is Ayodele Fayose, the Oshokomole, ‘irunmole to n je jollof rice’.”

“Even if you give your blood, your being, your strength and your life to Obasanjo, he would not support you.

“We know him more than you know him. He will not want a man with independent mind.

“Mr. President, you have refused to toe the path of unconstitutionality. You have refused to level Borno and other states like he levelled Odi in Bayelsa State.

“You are taking your time to respect human rights by not committing crime against humanity, he won’t like that.

“Your Excellency, the more you try to curry Obasanjo’s favour, the more he would continue to disparage you. If you continue to curry his favour, we are not going to curry him. He doesn’t like people that give him respect.

“Your Excellency, your second term has been concluded in heaven. Fear not! Obasanjo accused government of the day of corruption, but what happened to the N50m he shared to each senator and House of Representatives member during his third term agenda that failed?

“What do you call the donations to Obasanjo Library? That is corruption. Go and check the code of conduct, the form filled by Obasanjo. We knew when he came out of the prison; we knew his situation."

- Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State Governor.

No wonder that the headquarters of Muslims saudi arabia carries in her national flag 'a sword'. From my own research this is the only country with such logo. If you have to reside in the Muslim nation u have to be a Muslim otherwise you'll sleep with one eye opened, some countries will not even grant your visa, boko haram, isis, nagreb, al-quaida, al-shabab, et al, going on killing spree in the name of religion people still saying Islam is a religion of peace!

THE MANY LIES OF THE BUHARI AND THE APC
– There is an adage that says “a lie repeated several times seems to be
true.” This is exactly the case of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as regards to the Nigerian
refineries. Many Nigerians, maybe out of ignorance believe the lie that Buhari built our 4
refineries. This can be regarded as the ‘lie of the century.’ If you are one of those that
believed this repeatedly told lies, this special and well investigated report by NewsDay
Reporters will cure you of ignorance.
For the records, Nigeria has four refineries namely Port Harcourt, Alesa-Eleme (PH 1),
Warri, Kaduna and PH 11 refineries.
In 1960, Shell and the then British Petroleum (BP) now African Petroleum (AP) came
together in a mutual joint venture that gave birth to Nigerian Petroleum Refining
Company (NPRC). This process led to the construction of the now popular Alesa-Eleme
(PH 1) in the outskirts of Port Harcourt with a capacity of 38,000b/d. The construction
started in 1963 and was completed in 1965 (in this period, where was Buhari? he just
joined the army in 1962). As the demand for local consumption increased rapidly, the
refinery’s capacity was raised to 60,000b/d after the FG acquired 60% equity in 1970 and
the remaining 40% in 1978 through the 1977 decree 77.
The administration of Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, in order to enhance the performances of
the oil sector, promulgated Decree 77 of 1978 establishing the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). The NNPC initially had five bodies, each with a
managing director. They were all supervised by a group general manager. The number
of subsidiaries rose to nine and later 11.
Following the indigenization policy of the Federal Military Government under the
Obasanjo’s regime, the name NPRC was changed to NNPC and its equity totally bought
over by the Federal Government in 1978. Therefore, the NPRC constructed the first
refinery in Nigeria generally known as Port Harcourt 1 in 1965 while the NNPC built the
Port Harcourt 11, Warri and Kaduna refineries.
However, the Warri Refinery was awarded by Yakubu Gowon to Snamprogetti Spa Milan,
Italy in 1975 (in this period, Buhari was the governor of North-eastern state) at the cost
of $478 million and commenced operation in 1978 (now he was a Petroleum. Minister).
It had the design capacity of 100,000 b/d.
The Kaduna Refinery was awarded by Murtala Mohammed in 1976 and was built by
Chiyoda Engineering and Construction Company - a Japanese firm, at the cost of $525
million and was completed by Obasanjo in 1979 (Buhari's tenure as the Petroleum.
Minister ended in 1978). It had two refining streams (50,000 b/d fuels units) and (50,000
b/d lubes, waxes Asphalt plants).
Port Harcourt 11 was awarded by Gen IBB in 1985 with an installed capacity of 150,000
b/d and completed in 1989. Meanwhile in 1985, IBB undertook an expansion of the
capacities of the fuels units in both Warri and Kaduna refineries to 125,000b/d and
110,000b/d respectively. He therefore added 185,000b/d capacity to the total 445,000b/d
as at 1989. No further addition has been added till date.
So, when did Buhari build the four refineries?
Lets I forget, Buhari has no legacy as a former Head of State despite ruling the country
with an iron-fist.

Politics / Haba! Fayemi Spends 100millions On Bedroom And Toilet by hallmar08(m): 11:15pm On Oct 20, 2014
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has described the newly built Government House in the state as a show of wickedness to the people of the state by the immediate past Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

Fayose, in a statement by his Special Assistant Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said the new government house was an act of insensitivity to the plight of Ekiti State people, many of whom cannot afford to feed once in a day.
Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, Olayinka said no progressive minded Ekiti State person would see the out-of-this-world luxury provided with over N3.3 billion borrowed fund for Fayemi, his wife and children and will not weep for the state and its people.

Olayinka, who said Fayose was alarmed at the waste of Ekiti State resources to provide comfort for a single family out of the thousands of households in the state, added: “The governor would have preferred to sell out the property and use the fund to provide basic amenities and employment opportunities for the people.”

He disclosed that Fayemi was planning to buy a helicopter if he had returned to office for a second term, adding: “The plan was for Fayemi to run government from the comfort of Oke-Ayoba Government House and move from there to anywhere he wanted without the people seeing him.“That’s also the reason he (Fayemi) refused to renovate the Governor’s Office, leaving it in a state of disrepair because he knew that he was not going to use the office during his second term.

“Also, contract for the maintenance of the property was already awarded for N150 million per annum. “When we visited the Government House for the first time yesterday, Mr. Governor was like: how I wish I can sell off this place or turn it to commercial use.

“It is simply wicked for a governor to be more interested in this manner of ostentatious comfort at the expense of the people.

“The bed on which Fayemi slept before he left government alone costs over N30 million!

“That of his wife costs over N20 million!

“Between Fayemi and his wife, what was spent on their bedrooms, toilets and bathrooms will be in the region of N100 million.

“How can a responsible government use borrowed fund to provide this kind of luxury for the governor and his family alone in a state where a lot of people cannot afford to feed once in a day?

“People should ask the outgone governor what was really wrong with the abandoned governor’s lodge used by his (Fayemi) predecessors? “Shouldn’t such funds expended on the hilltop edifice have been used to resuscitate the moribund textile factory in Ado-Ekiti that was turned to lock-up shops to provide employments for our teeming unemployed youths?“Also, was Fayemi living in that manner of opulence before he became governor?

“Was he sleeping on a body-massaging bed and bathing in an electric controlled Jacuzzi?

“Here is Fayemi, who could not pay workers salary, owing them two months’ salary before he left.

“A Fayemi, who out of sheer wickedness refused to pay pensioners N2.4 billion pension and gratuities, N400 million workers leave bonus, N700 million subventions to parastatals and tertiary institutions and remit N2.4 billion four months cooperative society’s deductions from workers salary, preferring to use over N3 billion borrowed fund to provide luxury for himself, his wife and children alone.

“This is wickedness!

“Most importantly, did our late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, whom Fayemi and his so-called progressives claim as their role-model, live in any government house, not to talk of building an Emperor-like house for himself?

“Did late Michael Adekunle Ajasin build a monarchical government house for himself?

“Did Baba Lateef Jakande live in any government house?

“These are great Yoruba sons, whose recorded landmark achievements as Premier of the old Western Region and governors of Lagos State and the old Ondo State respectively.

“The duo of Ajasin and Jakande were able to impact tremendously on their states because they would not like to waste public fund to provide luxury for themselves.”

While reiterating Governor Fayose’s avowed commitment to the masses, Olayinka said: “Left for Governor Fayose, he won’t use that aristocratic government house because it is a symbol of oppression in itself.“He will prefer to live where Ekiti people can easily see him, touch him, eat with him and discuss the progress of the state together.

“But abandoning it would amount to colossal waste of public funds.

“Let me assure you Governor Fayose will not hide himself from the masses.”
