Structural engineers can give their assessment.
The pop cracked as well as gypsum cement screeding.

The cracked gypsum screeding is surprising!!!
(Could be poorly mixed or lack of adhesive bond)

If the POP crack is extremely serious, it could be a structural related issue (settling foundation) or Installation issue ( incorrect mixing & application) or very poor materials used.

I've said it on here before & let me reiterate again.

Please note that POP is liable to crack due to its natural attributes, Pop keeps drying even after installation which causes it to shrink hence the reason for some crack.

We usually work with welders!! Fix and iron rod to your deck…. Before attaching biding wire don’t use concret nail! No it won’t work

These are extra work but it worth it!

Exactly my brother! The bolded is a better reinforcement method✓. Some clients are willing to pay the extra fee.

POP Decking Area fell down again!!! ⚠️



I have always reiterated that the Decking Area of Pop is a critical part that needs serious attention to details, hence make sure to employ those who know their onion.

Recommendations to Home owners , who intend to use Pop design in their building space :

• Employ the services of a professional, who will not compromise on quality
• Make Sure your decking or roof is not leaking before installation of Pop
• Don't house heavy/chaotic designs in such areas
• Better reinforcement, implemented in the decking Area before installation
• The " Decking area of Pop designs" should never be rushed because you intend to move in quickly
• Task your Artisan/contractor to use enough fillas (Fiber) for your Pop design & not to manage it.

I have emphasized on several occasions on this thread, the Important role fiber (fillas) plays in the construction & installation of POP ( plaster of paris).

Feel free to chip in any question(s) if you have any, i'd definitely reply once am available.

May we not be victims of unfortunate accident by God's grace.

Good morning Sir,

Please I will like to be clear about this solar system.

This morning 24/04/2023, a newly built duplex next to mine was 'badly burnt' and we discovered that the fire came from the solar installation.

The man just left to buy wares, his 3 children (including a year old) were locked inside. The neighbors managed to jump through the fence to break the protector locks before it will be a different story.

Please how, and in what scenario can fire start from solar installation.


I would have uploaded the video for you to see but for the sake of privacy.

Just know that the entire top floor where the solar was installed was burnt to the stone coated roofing sheet. The fire spread to the kitchen. That was where the gas exploded that finished the ground floor.

God's grace this morning was the children that were saved.
