Guys often times manage to tolerate bad odour/breathe but for the ladies it is a no no no thing. Unless you want them to pour out their intestine.

@Op; I am not sure if you are aware that sometimes those who have mouth/body odour are not even aware that they have it. Besides; what makes you so sure they you yourself don’t have mouth/body odour? (No offence and hope none taken) Is it because no one has told you?

The ideal thing for you to have done was to tell him; not blatantly like you have a mouth/body odour. You could have simply told him stylishly without it sounding offensive or making it sound like what you have to say will hurt him. The technique below would have been ideal;

For the body odour you could simply have asked him; Do you like any specific male deodorant? I usually like guys that use (name a male deodorant that you know/like) this brand. Have you heard of the brand? Then you encourage him to buy and use any other brand he is aware of.

For the mouth odour you could have simply told him that you enjoy using the technique called floss and ask him if he has tried it? If not he could do so; as it helps in removing dirt from the teeth which in turn helps to prevents mouth odour.

Then you go further in telling him that you brush your teeth more than once a day (I hope you do) and that helps you to keep a healthy breath. Again you ask him if that is something he does and if not encourage him to do so. Also let him know the benefit of using a mouth wash and some mint to keep the mouth fresh and let him know that you use it as well (I hope you do) and that’s what keeps your breath fresh.

Now; looking at both scenarios that i have stated above, was that a difficult thing to do? I don’t think so. Have you seen that you could have used wisdom in stylishly helping him? Hence, there would not have been any need for you to have opened this thread to embarrass him. NOT VERY COOL.

Besides; he might be someone that has a good heart/character; and you just let him go for a flaw(s) that you could have made a contribution in helping to resolve/solve.

In this life, we should be very careful the way we make fun or castigate another individual as you never know where you would meet/need them.

Mine is problem of accommodating people and giving out all within me.My dad can forgo anything he has with him for others to survive. When anybody comes to our house, my father must make sure that the person must eat something before going no matter what.There was a time I had about five friends coming to stay in my house , some even with their girlfriends and we all ate from same port.Now, I even find it difficult to eat alone with having someone to share with.

My friends always know that in my house, they must eat as I love cooking as our mother made sure we all know how to cook any kind of food. Why in college, I worked with Bennigans restaurant and can make any kind of recipe ofa mine and prepare any kind of food.I can make any kind of food in my life with anything.

I was gave out a car I had to a friend when I was having only 2 cars then. That's me cus I learnt that from my father.

In fact you said the truth. I find hard to note the way most Nigerian guys fail to see that their body should be taken care of. Most guys do not know the importance of deodorants. I was telling someone that you need to have a body deodorant apart from the body cologne he got. He was telling me that he baths well and has a body spray or cologne to go with that. I told him no, that he should also get body spray for men and also the one for his lady. It is not only ladies that need those things.

Some guys would drink alcohol in the night along with food prepared with onions and other species, go to bed and still would come out in the morning and wanna talk to people not knowing how bad their breath is.

Though some are natural problems with the individual but they overlook it an think brushing their teeth and taking their bath can eliminate the problem instead of seeking help from experts. Too bad.One need to feel his own breath to know if they constitute a problem to others.
