Assuming but not conceding that even if the 27 seats were declared vacant, that appropriation bill passed by only 4 members of the House is still null & void ab initio.

U must wait for elections to be held by INEC, those seats occupied b4 u pass any appropriation bill.

Are you suggesting that salaries should not be paid? Should the execution of projects come to a halt until the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) sets a date for fresh elections, political parties conduct their primaries, candidates run their campaigns, and 27 new lawmakers are sworn in before the state can make any progress? Is that what you are implying?

Please bear in mind that many constituencies, where elected federal lawmakers have unfortunately passed away, have yet to receive replacements because INEC has not scheduled bye-elections. Is this the same INEC you expect the entire Rivers State to wait for? Without a budget in place?

Fubara was fighting a blind man’s fight, he is underestimating the man that singlehandedly made him Governor, never bite the hand that made you King.

He is a Gonner like Arsenal, just a matter of time, how foolish can one be, u sign an appropriation bill legislated by only 4 members, yet to even form a quorum in the Rivers state House of Assembly is 10.

Ignorance is never an excuse in law.

I doubt if you really get the whole picture. The issue of the defection of the 27 lawmakers from PDP to APC is still in court - the High Court, but the Supreme Court has already ruled on it. Can the Supreme Court rule on matter that has not been presented to it? Again, the 1999 Constitution (as amended) says that Local Government election matters end at the High Court, but the Supreme Court ruled that the LGA polls Fubara conducted is null and void. Does the Supreme Court possess the jurisdiction over that matter? You can see why the FG has to be fair in this matter so that we can avert a serious crisis.

I think the only reason the crisis has not been resolved is that the FG has refused to be fair in their efforts to bring about a solution. Fubara is not clueless. He has survived since the 30th of October, 20231 when the first attempt was made to impeach him.

I went to the headquarters of a popular church in Abuja for a Thanksgiving Service. After the church service, there was a reception where there was an assorted alcohol on the list.

To my surprise, some of the clerics were served alcoholic drinks and they gladly indulged.

I am a born-again Christian because of my staunch faith in Christ Jesus and I also drink alcohol moderately. I don't believe I am morally wrong.

Peter Osaze Odemwingie is a retired Nigerian professional footballer who played as a forward and a winger. He was born to a Nigerian father and a Russian Tatar mother.

Accordingly, Osaze’s career and social life appears to be dotted with episodes of public dispute or debate involving him directly.

The latest was his clash of perspective with Amara, the wife of fellow Nigerian professional footballer, Nwankwo Kanu, over messages they exchanged via Instagram DMs.

We could recall that Osaze Odemwingie had called out Amara saying she slid into his DM for some ‘inappropriate’ discussions.

The football star, however sparked a hot controversy when he claimed to be wondering why a married woman of Amara’s status should do that, even telling her, he doesn’t talk to the other people’s wife and warning her.

After being caught up in a social media crossfire over his claims, Osaze fell under the pressure and apologised to Kanu Nwankwo and his wife Amara Kanu over his outburst.

He apologised that he read the undue meaning to Amara’s DM but claimed the press didn’t help either, but turned it around in a matter of debate.

His apology below, “I was misunderstood, acted out of anger or reading too much into the greetings.

Osaze means “God chooses (for you)”. He married Sarah Fallon, on 26 May 2012 at a church in Northampton after two years of dating.

During Osaze Odemwingie’s time in the English Premier, his future at West Bromwich Albion came under doubt when he launched a tirade against his club on Twitter, in addition to accusing them of “reaching into his pocket”, reiterating his wish for a move elsewhere.

On 31 January 2013, he was reportedly seen outside Loftus Road in an attempt to sign for Queens Park Rangers, but was refused entry as no offer was accepted for him.

He was widely criticised for his attempt to join QPR with Albion chairman saying he acted “unprofessionally”.

After initially being sent home from training on his return to West Brom, Odemwingie was later disciplined by the club for his actions on transfer deadline day and resumed training, while also publicly apologising for his behaviour.

He returned to the side against Sunderland on 23 February 2013 coming on as a substitute in the final few minutes and was jeered by some Albion supporters. Steve Clarke continued to use Odemwingie as a substitute which caused him to again attack the club on Twitter.
