So does that mean that even if I do all that, he might not still like me for real? Lord Have Mercy
Lolsss... Just be yourself. It's not about playing too hard to get. I could remember during my university days, I had a long list of girls who played too hard for me to sleep with them. I didn't give up, some even took me 3 to 4 years just to get what I wanted... Just be decent, independent and smart... That's what guys look out for and not claiming to be very difficult just to prove ur point... I'm not saying you should be carefree either but know when to give in so as not to stretch the guy to a limit. A lady who meets a guy for the first time and starts talking about money or gifts can never be considered a girlfriend or wife material... Financial independence for ladies, decency and respect is key to making a guy fall for you completely despite his initial intentions. My girlfriend, I had the intentions of hitting and running away, but when I eventually got what I wanted, I couldn't not run away again because I saw what made me stick with her and we are close to 2years now. Hope I made sense... |

General Overseer of the Church of Rabbi is urging Nigerian prophet, TB Joshua to stop the activities of Islamist group, Boko Haram in Nigeria if he wants his prophecies to be taken seriously. Prophet Kwabena Tawiah said he is baffled at how the supposed prophet did nothing and now the Boko Haram insurgents have infiltrated and carried out several bombings in Nigeria. In his view, TB Joshua who is the head of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) should concentrating on driving away Boko Haram from Nigeria and “leave Ghana alone”. Prophet Kwabena Tawiah’s comment is in reaction to TB Joshua’s prophecy of an eminent attack on Ghana and Nigeria. Last Sunday, the renowned prophet asked his congregation to pray against the attack which could happen either on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. The Nigerian Prophet was emphatic in prophesying that, “I see Thursday, Friday. Pray for these two nations – Nigeria and Ghana – over gathering in any way; over an attack. I am seeing the attack and that will be in a foreign way. The attack will come not in a local way. So please open your lips and pray for these two nations for protection.” But his prophecy has been met with a lot of criticisms with many religious bodies including the Christian Council calling on security agencies to ignore it since Ghana cannot run on “the back of prophecies.” In support, the outspoken Kwabena Tawiah stressed that the prophecy must be treated with the contempt it deserves. Describing TB Joshua’s prophecy as unnecessary, the Church of Rabbi leader said assuming without admitting that the prophecy is true, God would have revealed it to a Ghanaian prophet and not a foreigner. “What is TB Joshua saying; he should leave Ghana alone and concentrate on Boko Haram in Nigeria” he fumed. Rather, Kwabena Tawiah called on TB Joshua to support President Buhari with his prophecies to help arrest the Boko Haram insurgents terrorizing citizens in Nigeria. Former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, yesterday said that there was no political will to save Nigeria's resources under the Goodluck Jonathan administration. Okonjo-Iweala who said this while speaking on “inequality, growth and resilience,” at George Washington University, said Nigeria was able to save $22 billion under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which saved the country in 2008, from global economic meltdown. “We tried it in Nigeria, we put in an oil price based fiscal rule in 2004 and it worked very well. We saved $22 billion because the political will to do it was there. And when the 2008 /2009 crisis came, we were able to draw on those savings precisely to issue about a 5 per cent of GDP fiscal stimulus to the economy and we never had to come to the bank or the fund. This time around and this is the key now, you need not only to have the instrument but you also need the political will. In my second time as a finance minister, from 2011 to 2015, we had the instrument, we had the means, we had done it before, but zero political will. So we were not able to save when we should have. That is why you find that Nigeria is now in the situation it is in. Along with so many other countries.”she said. http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/jonathans-government-lacked-political.html

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Shanghai said that his administration would give priority to the building and development of resilient and viable cities comparable with other developed cities across the globe. At separate meetings with the Mayor of the Chinese city of Shanghai, Mr Yang Xiong and the Director of Shanghai Free Trade Zone, Liu Fangzhou, President Buhari said that the Federal Government would give full support to Free Trade and Export Processing Zones in the country to spur rapid economic development. The President, who visited the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, said Nigeria was prepared to learn how to make its cities more viable from those that have achieved development. “We have already identified the development of infrastructure which will bring industries that create jobs and help us to diversify the economy. “We are going to work hard to achieve these within the period we have in office. Nigerians will see progress and feel the impact,” the President said. Commending the hardwork and incredible success story of the city of Shanghai, President Buhari said that the virtues of hard work were central to every human achievement and development. In his remarks, the Mayor of Shanghai expressed the willingness of several Chinese businesses to key into the vision of the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, for Africa by investing in Nigeria. Also speaking, the Director of the Free Trade Zone commended the effort of the Nigerian government towards the diversification of the economy and encouraged the country to focus on a favourable policy environment to encourage foreign investors. http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/well-build-resilient-nigerian-cities.html

Yemi Osinbajo on Chibok girls The Nigerian government says it cannot give a time frame for the return of the over 219 school girls abducted from a government secondary school in Chibok, Borno State in 2014. It, however, assured Nigerians that everything needed to be done to ensure the release of the girls was being done. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo gave the assurance on Wednesday while addressing a group of civil society organisations and the diplomats at a forum on vulnerable people and conflict situation in Nigeria. Be Patient Professor Osinbajo stressed that in the heart of the government’s war on terror was the safe return of the abducted girls, contrary to popular insinuations that it was half-hearted in its approach. He urged Nigerians to guard their utterances, be patient and trust the security agencies which he said were working hard to ensure the liberation of all Nigeria’s territory and also free all hostages including the girls. The Vice President also cautioned that it would be counter-productive to put a time frame to the return of the girls abducted from their schools dormitory on April 14, 2014. He reiterated that the government was working to ensure their safe return in the shortest possible time. Giving the government’s position on the plight of those who have become displaced and vulnerable, the Vice President urged civil rights advocates to also begin to hold states and local governments’ authorities more accountable because the Federal Government alone could not tackle socio-economic needs of the people. The event was organised by the office of the National Security Adviser to mark the second year anniversary of the abduction of over 200 school girls in Chibok, Borno State. A victim of Boko Haram insurgency in the north-east, Fatima Salihu, could not hold her emotions back, as she recalls her experience in the hands of the terrorists and what life has become for her and many others like her since then. Some members of some civil society groups, who had visited Chibok and Biu in Borno State to aid the displaced persons as a result of the insurgency, also shared their experiences. They want the government to match its words with action, by taking immediate steps to ameliorate the immediate needs of the victims and put in place a long term plan for the rehabilitation of the displaced persons and ensure the speedy return of the abducted school girls. The participants at the event held on to their expectations and hopes that it would not be another talk shop. Child Suicide Bombers The girls’ abduction had triggered protests in different countries in 2014, with demonstrators demanding for more efforts from the government to rescue the girls. Activists have also stressed the need for greater protection of children in the north-east region of Nigeria just as the Boko Haram had at one time or the other used children as suicide bombers. On Monday, the United Nations Children’s Fund in a report said that one in every five “suicide bombers” used by Boko Haram in the past two years has been a child. http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/no-time-frame-for-chibok-girls-return.html

A pregnant woman faces child abuse and human trafficking charges after she attacked her housemaid with boiling water for waking up late. According to PREMIUM TIMES, mother of one Kemi Egbukole, 36, poured boiling water on 16-year-old Hope David leaving her breasts with severe injuries. Police said Egbukole would be charged after investigations are concluded. Mrs. Egbukole, a resident of of Minta 1 Estate, Lokogoma, Abuja, is currently being investigated for child abuse and trafficking offences by the Police, National Human Rights Commission and National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons,( NAPTIP) . According to the Deputy Director, Protection and Investigations, National Human Rights Commission, Lambert Oparah, Mrs. Egbukole initially denied the assault charges but later admitted the attack, claiming it was an accident, and the victim was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. The Director however revealed that Hope wasn't taken to the hospital as claimed by the suspect. "She was taken to a chemist, they put plasters around her breast which was not quite good," he said Neighbours who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES described Mrs. Egbukole as a "notorious child abuser" who repeatedly attacked Hope with dangerous objects including rods. "She ran out of the house and came to my side," one of the neighbour said. "Mrs. Egbukole was still trying to flog her with a mop stick." The neighbour said at first she thought Hope was attacked with pepper or cold water as in the past. "I thought it was just water and pepper, or something, until the girl screamed back again in my room and I shouted, ‘What!’ the breast has peeled already. So I shouted and said ‘Come you did this thing to this girl and you still want to flog her again? I will report you to the police and NAPTIP; at that point she started begging and immediately she started telling lies," the neighbour said. Mrs. Egbukole claimed Hope poured herself water, according to a neighbour. But the woman had a history of abusing the girl, the neighbour said, citing how Mrs. Egbukole a day earlier had hit Hope with a curtain rail, injuring her in the head. "Mrs. Egbukole was still trying to flog her with a mop stick." The commission immediately made a reported to the Commissioner of Police, Abuja, who directed further investigations into the case. Mrs. Egbukole will most likely be charged for abuse of the Child Rights’ Act, 2003. "The Child Rights’ Act clearly states the responsibility of parents or wards, as well as government or other agencies involved; regarding the dignity of the child, as well as the child’s right to adequate health and health services, which have both been abused in this case," Oparah said. Mrs Egbukole and her husband had been at the FCT police command for interrogation and would be required to return intermittently till the end of the investigation. The Abuja police spokesperson, Manzah Adjuguri, who confirmed the incident said Mrs. Egbukole claims that the pastor who brought Hope from Nasarawa was her uncle. He assured the matter will be charged after investigation. "It is a matter of concern to the command based on the rate of injuries that has been sustained by the girl. And for us, here at the command, justice must take its full course," he stated. Adjuguri further said the command was still in touch with Hope, who is currently recovering under the custody of NAPTIP. The spokesperson of NAPTIP, Joshua Emerole, said Hope would remain under the agency’s care until the end of the investigation and that Mrs Egbukole faces other charges including the violation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act, 2015. The Senate is asking the executive to include the disputed Lagos Calabar Rail project in a supplementary budget and forward it to the National Assembly. Briefing journalists in Abuja, Senate Spokesman Aliyu Abubakar said the Senate is ready and willing to consider a supplementary budget from the executive which would include the rail project. There’s been a back and forth between the executive and the National Assembly over allegations that a 60 billion naira Lagos Calabar Rail Project was removed from the 2016 Budget. The Ministry of Budget And Planning had come out with its position on the controversies surrounding the 2016 budget. The ministry in a statement said the President is yet to take a position on the budget after receiving details from the National Assembly on April 7. On the controversial Calabar-Lagos rail project, the ministry confirmed that there were indeed some errors in the initial budget proposal sent to the National Assembly by the President in December. The statement, however, added that the errors were corrected, submitted and subsequently accepted by the relevant committees of the National Assembly. The statement read in part, “It must be emphasized that the two rail projects are part of those for which the President is currently negotiating funding with the Chinese government. “The 60 billion Naira provided in the budget for the Lagos – Kano and Calabar – Lagos rail lines, respectively, is counterpart funding, to support the Chinese financing for the projects. “These projects are part of the strategic implementation plan of the government which was disclosed by the Minister of Budget and National Planning at The National Economic Council retreat in March 2016, in the presence of state governors.” The statement added that it was the corrected version that was defended by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and his team http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/supplementary-budget-senate-asks.html

A Harare man has cried out on Facebook after his wife confessed to bedding two men in a bid to help him secure a job. Charlene Dzokese (24) said she cheated with Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition boss, Phillan Zamchiya and her husband’s best friend Beloved Chiweshe. Dzokese said her husband, Mehluli Dube had been unemployed since 2004 and Zamchiya and Chiweshe had promised to help him. Mehluli discovered the love affair last Wednesday when he rummaged through his wife’s WhatsApp chats. These affairs had been running concurrently since last year November. “Indeed I cheated on Mehluli not that I wanted to but I had no choice, we have been suffering for years now and we have a minor to fend for. I know how hard life can be because at some point I once stayed in the streets and I am an orphan, I only want the best for my son. “So when his best friend presented me that he would get my husband a job and his former boss Zamchiya promised to get him something at Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition where he is the director, I jumped at it,’ she said. “Chiweshe knew that I was going out with Zamchiya and we would arrange to meet in town and at times he would come to our home in Zimre Park when Mehluli was away,” Dzokese said. Dzokese and Mehluli have been married for three years and Mehluli says his wife was a victim of circumstances and he will make sure that his colleagues will pay for what they did. “I have known Chiweshe since 2003, he has been my best friend since then and what he did really broke me down. “I have been Zamchiya’s right hand man since last year when he took over directorship at Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition. “I still have my son to think about so I have decided to forgive my wife and sort out our differences but I have decided to take legal route to deal with Zamchiya and Chiweshe,”said Mehluli. http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/man-cries-out-on-facebook-after-friends.html

Kanye West was all smiles Friday when asked about Rob Kardashian and bride-to-be Blac Chyna. The couple announced their engagement Tuesday, about 10 weeks after they went public with their relationship. They have not announced a date for their upcoming wedding or revealed who they are inviting. The 38-year-old rapper was asked about the couple's happy news while traveling through Los Angeles International Airport. When asked if he was invited to the wedding, he smiled and said, "You know what? I haven't been invited." "You know, Rob is my brother," Kanye told photographers. "I love Rob. I just roll with it. I love Rob, that's all I can say. I love Rob." The rapper was in a jovial mood as he made his way through the airport departures hall, posing for many photos with fans. He did not reveal his travel destination. The rapper is set to headline the Paradise International Music Festival in Manila, the Philippines Saturday. Earlier this week, Rob's ex Adrienne Bailon expressed support for the reality star and his engagement, while Chyna's ex who shares a 3-year-old son with the model, said it makes him "happy to see the mother of my son happy." Manchester United target Jose Mourinho has hinted his next club will be in the Premier League after admitting he wants to manage somewhere with a ‘hard’ domestic season. The 52-year-old has been heavily linked with Louis van Gaal’s job as Manchester United manager since he was sacked as Chelsea boss in December. The Portuguese coach is unwilling to speak out on those rumours given his strong relationship with the Dutchman, but he admitted in February that his family would stay in London for his next job – suggesting that he would therefore be joining an English side. And Mourinho’s confirmed in a presentation in Lisbon today that he’ll announce his next club at the end of the season – but it has to be a ‘hard’ challenge. ‘I can almost guarantee you that I’ll be back working this summer,’ insisted Mourinho. ‘I’ve good offers on the table. ‘It’s a matter of thinking, to come to a good decision and finalise it. In the summer, at the end of the season, everyone will know what my next club will be. ‘One thing is certain, my future won’t be at Estoril or Paços, because they’re both having great seasons and won’t change manager. ‘I’ll take my ideas to where they are wanted. I want to be at a place where I’m truly wanted. ‘I want to work at a club with responsibility, in a hard league, where there’re no easy objectives. That doesn’t leave [me] many options’. http://hansomephilips..com/2016/04/manchester-united-target-jose-mourinho.html
