The new blame game of the APC is to blame the Govornors. As if the Govornors were the ones that removed fuel subsidy or they were the ones that did the unification of the Naira.

You took fuel from 185 to current price of 900 and you are asking it is the Govornors that should reduce inflation. How is that possible when the cost of moving farm produce from point A to Z is now very very expensive so it will definitely have an effect on the cost of things.

As wicked as Buhari was,he only added 100 naira to cost of fuel in 8years. Bulaba has added 700 naira and you are saying things won't be expensive.

That is not possible. No matter how much money you throw at the Govornors. And matter of fact, most of the money you claim you give to the Govornors themselves are even given back in the case of wage award.

I know of Oyo that has been paying wage award since last year. 25K extra for civil servants and 15K extra for pensioners an extra 2Billion added to the monthly wage bill

The 1k Oyo introduced then to support development and Oyo state dnt colloect it as revenue but created SGB for each school.. The money is just same with PTA money. Free education is totally rubbish in Naija now except we want to decieve ourselves.. GCI, Loyola and other good school in Oyo state continue paying for better education.
Why Seyi did even pay free. WAEC for once? and to remind you students are free to enter Ajumose bus either private school or public school students freely in Oyo State.
Ajimobi built some model school.. Even the only free text book seyi distributed in Oyo state for once was printed during late Ajimobi era.. Aside the first year he gave free text book and note book when last they gave text book for students in Oyo State??
Ajimobi might not get it right for Lautech issue but he still established Technical University also..
But abolishment of 1k per term should not be called free education by GSM.. They are paying for Waec, books , Transportation etc and Most of the public schools dont get money for thier needs and repair of important things in school like when SGB was functioning..

It was Ajimobi's 1K levy that made Oyo to have the highest number of out of school children. People who cannot even afford 1K had their kids drop out of school. I didn't even believe their are some people that could not afford it but yes about 200K people could not afford it and their kids left school to start a life of wondering and selling from child birth.

Like I said,Primary and secondary should be totally free. Tertiary can be expensive. It is lack of Education that us making the North a Haven for Islamic Terrorism and the likes. It is. An educated society won't do that nonesense.

The 1k that Ajimobi introduced was good policy just to maintain each school with Students Government Body now most of public school are nothing to write about... Did you know that in many public schools in Ibadan, exams are being written on chalkboard for students?

No chairs, leaking roofs, teachers are also not involved with the student welfare again as long as their salaries are getting paid which of course GSM is doing that.

Is that a proper education?

Let me give you a case study,
Eleta High School in ibadan, before the 1k per term thing was one of the worst schools in Ibadan, but during the 1k regime, some visible changes started occurring, roofs were being fixed, part time teachers were employed to augment subjects with no teachers etc

After the removal, things are so bad that, there is no more chair in the classrooms, students of different classes have to pack themselves in non leaking classes when there is rain.. Teachers are no longer interested in student welfare.

A cousin of mine going to CAC, Muslim, preparing for WAEC, I was asking him the other day about his academics and he said they only have teachers for 8 subjects and 2 of those 8 don't regularly come. These students are expected to write 9 subjects in WAEC.

The honest truth of the matter is the government can not fully funded our schools again be it primary or secondary due to whatever reasons be it corruption or lack of funds..

Can you or the elite send your wards to public secondary schools as it is now ?

The idea of paying 1k token per term is a great one if we are being honest with ourselves

I'm happy that you mentioned non availability of teachers. Ajimobi did 8years and he didn't do any recruitment. Today seyi has done over 22K

5000 for secondary school teachers in his first term
7000 for primary schools. The last time primary school recruitment were done was during ladojas tenure in 2003. Over 20 years ago. Do you know how many people would have retired then

Another 10,000 again for secondary and special schools. If Ajimobi had even done half of the recruitment seyi is doing,you know it would have gone a long way. Maybe you should put sentiments aside and look at the facts.

Schools under Ajimobi were also heavily dilapidated. He was just building three models schools when we had those that were spoilt. What is the essence of building a new house when you haven't completed the one you are living. It makes no sense

Today Seyi's investment in education no administration has surpassed it since 1999. It is only Bola Ige that has surpassed seyi in investment in education.

Still yet there is still so much more to be done. Today the renovation of schools have started apart from the ones done last year. With even the World Bank helping with a grant of 3.5Billion naira

The future of Education in this country most esp Oyo state is scary, we are in deep shit. The present admin in Oyo state failed terribly in terms of Education and the genesis could be traced to when he remove the 1k per term levy of Ajimobi.
The masses was happy then when he removed it but that single move made me lose hope on GSM and I know nothing good could come out of his admin.
The 1k then although was initially mismanaged but gradually, changes started coming to public schools, they started making chairs, etc.
A woman then went to agidigbo and started lamenting on how she has to pay 3k annually for her 5 kids in school, my question to her is why will you have 5 children when you can't afford 15k in a whole year.
