The recent suspension of Emmanuel TV YouTube Channel never came as a surprise. It was as expected as anything else. Since this was not the first time YouTube has suspended SCOAN’s Channel on its platform. We even wrote an article then saying that this present YouTube Channel that is now under suspension will also be blocked. The only thing that is a surprise is while the SCOAN have not until now develop their social media platforms where the gospel and the marvellous works of Christ through the ministry of Prophet TB Joshua can be disseminated without restrictions.

It is time the Church of Christ starts thinking outside the box, there are some things that Christ will not do for us when he has already given us the grace to do it for ourselves. The Church cannot continue to rely on the mediums and platforms of the world to preach the gospel that they hate.

Let us stop acting as if we are ignorant of the world and its antics. We know they are not comfortable with the gospel of Christ and there is no way they will continue to allow their platform to be used to propagate that gospel.

They claim their actions were based on ‘hate speech’ from a deliverance video. A video which to a true believer is an inspiring testimony of transformation.

That which is an atmosphere of deliverance and freedom to the Church is hate speech to the world. Can’t we see the conflict? Who is the determiner of hate speech? Who makes owners of social media platform the judge in determining our value system? Are they not supposed to be neutral? This is simply the tyranny of the social media giant. Because it happens to TB Joshua today those not mean it won’t happen to you tomorrow. The Church and the lovers of truth need to wake up and understand that the world is no longer hiding their hate against the gospel of truth. They are coming out boldly in waging their war against the Church of Christ.

TB Joshua never forces anyone to come to his Church. The man who was delivered from homosexuality come to The SCOAN on his own. He felt he was under bondage and came to the SCOAN where he believed he could get his freedom. And that freedom he received. How do that affect YouTube and any aggrieved group?

Is this suspension that is without any legal and legitimate bearing by those purporting hate speech, not themselves promoting oppression and persecution?

What about the United Nations fundamental human right that said “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion”. Why do you want to impose your belief and thought on others? Are you angry with TB Joshua’s ministry because God is using him to reduce your population – the homosexuals?

The man that was delivered from homosexuality was matured enough to know what is best for him. You don’t force your belief on others. If you believe that what you stand for is good and true, why not allow everyone the choice to decide for themselves if they are comfortable with it or not. Instead of forceful imposition and coercion.

This is clear tyranny in public display and we need to recognise that the world has gone past this stage.

The management of YouTube should not allow themselves to be used irrespective of the pressure they may be getting from these groups and even if they have a stake in these issues. They have to understand that these are sensitive issues. Taken side and suspending Emmanuel TV’s YouTube Channel is not the best way to go. They should instead learn to stay neutral. They should learn to differentiate between business ethics and their prejudice. This is important not only for the integrity of their social media platforms but for the future. Always remember that the future is a mystery.

The current economic crisis in the nation of Nigeria has been forewarned years back by Prophet T.B. Joshua. Controversial Nigerian pastor, TB Joshua of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) has been named as the 2015 ‘Yoruba Man Of The Year’.

The honour was bestowed on him by the ‘Egbe Omo Oodua Parapo’, a coalition of 35 Pan-Yoruba groups drawn from across the world.

“We give this award to Pastor Joshua out of over 500 nominees screened by the Planning Committee of the Association,” Dr Akinwale Adewunmi, the Chairman of the award committee said in a statement following the group’s annual conference in United States.

According to Adewunmi, Joshua has added “honour and admiration to the Yoruba nation”, especially through his diverse philanthropic activities.

“We are proud that you are a Yoruba man with a global image in the annals of charity,” he stated, noting that Joshua’s charitable projects span 45 countries and aid ‘millions’ on a yearly basis, irrespective of their religion or ethnicity.

“Pastor Joshua started as a poor boy,” the statement added, acknowledging the cleric’s uncanny rise to prominence from a poverty-stricken home in Ondo State, Nigeria.

“He had no access to education neither did he enjoy any outstanding benefit from his society, yet he built himself. He educated himself and today stands out like a Professor in the greater university of life and living.”

It also cited Joshua’s contribution to improving Nigeria’s image abroad. “Across the world, many ask travellers from Nigeria: ‘Oh, you are From Pastor T.B. Joshua’s country?’ ”

The group noted that The SCOAN was arguably the biggest tourist attraction in the ‘South West’, adding that many foreigners would never have visited Nigeria if not for Joshua’s church.

“We are proud that this generation has produced a Yoruba man, a Nigerian and an African that stands this tall,” the statement concluded.

Intriguingly, T.B. Joshua has not been seen in public since his crusade in Mexico last May, over seven months ago.

The Yoruba people are one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa, constituting over 40 million people worldwide.

ABUJA – Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, yesterday donated N10 million to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kuchingoro Camp, Abuja.

Joshua who lamented the condition in which Nigerians displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East region are living, called for more support to improve conditions in the camps.

Represented by Olorogun Talib Tebite, Joshua also promised the IDPs that the church would also provide a medical ambulance as well as other medications to boost health care delivery in the camp.

The Prophet who enjoined Nigerians to come to the aid of the displaced persons, noted that “as creations of God, we must learn to love our neighbours as our selves by being our brothers keepers especially in need. One way we must express our love for others is in giving”, he added.

Speaking at the event, the Emir of Daura, HRH Umar Farouk Umar, who handed the N10m cheque to the IDPs camp chairman, on behalf of the church, urged them to utilize the money prudently.

The Emir appealed to the IDPs leaders to channel the donation towards the education of children in the camp and the provision of health facility for children and women in the camp.

On his part, the IDPs Camp Chairman, Philimon Emmanuel said the bulk of the money would used to establish a clinic in the camp.

While parts of it would be utilized in the provision of food and ensuring that children of secondary school age were sent to schools.

“We have been here since January 2014 and up till now we did not see something like this. We did not expect this and we cannot thank the church enough.

“We are going to have a clinic here. If we get a clinic some of our problems will be reduced. Because the first problem for us sickness in the camp and the clinic will address.

“We will buy some food items too and we have to educate our children because up till now our children that are in secondary school are not going to school. It only nursery and primary school that we have here”, he explained.

The citizens of Botswana have called on Nigerians to seek divine intervention from their popular televangelist, Prophet T.B. Joshua, to put an end to the act of terrorism ravaging the country by Boko Haram.

A report from Yarona FM News, one of Botswana’s leading radio stations, sampled public opinion concerning the appeal by the African Union for its members to send soldiers to Nigeria to assist in the fight against Boko-Haram.

According to the report, majority of Botswana that participated in the opinion poll urged against the Botswana Defense Force troops being sent to provide military aid to Nigeria but proposed divine intervention from Prophet T.B Joshua as the right option to stop terrorism in Nigeria.

“Some members of the public who say sending soldiers away would expose them to unnecessary dangers argue, among other things, that Nigeria should look to the famous televangelist TB Joshua for divine intervention,”

Facebook user, Thero Matsuakata, commented:“When you send soldiers there, they will be fighting the wrong battle. These people are led by evil spirits! Prophet T.B. Joshua talked about this long ago.

The federal government has been urged to release the report of its investigation into the collapse of the six-storey building belonging to the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), an incident that led to the lose of 116 lives.

A statement by the Nigerian Human Rights Community (NHRC), a coalition of 135 civil right groups, stated that the failure of the government to release the report suggests a string of cover-ups which strengthens the growing public perception that the collapse of the building was as a result of a bomb attack by yet to be identified people.

“The federal government and the police owe Nigerians and the world the urgent need to get to the root of the matter. Many Nigerians now think that the building may have been brought down through bomb attack. It is imperative to allay the fears of thepublic”, the statement signed by the NHRC Executive Secretary, Mrs. Feyisike Adeoye and the Vice-Chairman, Northern Zone, Mallam Yaya Abdulkadir, stated. The group said the attack undermines the freedom of worship as entrenched in the Nigerian constitution.

According to them, despite the revelation that a strange plane hovered around the building, there has not been any statement by the Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FCAA) to clarify the mission of the plane.

The NHRC said for a long time, the SCOAN have warned of plans to bomb the church but that security operatives have failed to heed the warnings until it became late.

The group stated: “We are worried about what appears like a calculated attempt to cover up the root cause of the incident. It is unfortunate that most reports focus on an attempt to demonise the church instead of craving to unravel the issues surrounding the mystery plane especially in the context of emerging facts that the building may have been brought down by a new technological devise as part of the grand campaign by some religious fanatics.

”According to the NHRC, the SCOAN led by Pastor TB Joshua remains one of the few reference points to Nigeria’s glory, in spite of the diminishing images of the country in almost all spheres.“The SCOAN has become an institution that promotes the good image of Nigeria. It is one of the few attractions of foreigners to Nigeria. “ We express grave concern that this attack might have been orchestrated to bring down the image of the country and further portray the country as unsafe for investors and potential visitors to the church which draws millions of people yearly to Nigeria.”

At the continued coroner’s inquest into the tragic building collapse at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) on September 12th 2014, an explosives expert has testified that a ‘sound weapon’ was behind the collapse of the church structure.

Kaduna-based bomb expert, Mr Paul Iguniwei, told the coroner that the building was targeted with an infrasonic weapon by the plane-like object that flew over it on four different occasions while maintaining the same flight path on the day of the unfortunate incident.

According to him, while being cross-examined by counsel to The SCOAN, Olalekan Ojo, from a detailed analysis of the CCTV footage he watched, the flying aircraft hovered close enough over the building to bring it down using an infrasonic weapon.

"From what I observed, the four-time movement of the aircraft over the building could have been deliberate and that was to release enough dosage of the infrasonic weapon capable of bringing the building down. If you would notice, after the fourth movement, the aircraft did not return and then, the building collapsed,” he told the court.


Mr. Iguniwei described the infrasonic sonar as being both invisible and inaudible but capable of causing serious damage if its intensity is pronounced. The University of Maiduguri-trained Chemist, who has also worked as a research officer with the Defense Ministry, said that his suspicions arose after he eliminated other possible theories due to lack of plausibility.

According to him, the theory of a bomb attack became questionable owing to the absence of fire or charred remains at the scene of the collapsed building. He also said he eliminated the theory of structural defect as a result of a weak foundation because even after the collapse, there was no sign of stress on the foundation which he observed still stands intact.

He explained the modus operandi of an infrasonic weapon thus, “Infrasonic weapons can damage a building by attacking and weakening its basic components like the cement and iron rods. It is improbable that the collapse started from the ground because the building did not tilt to any side while collapsing but came vertically down in one swoop to suggest the collapse started from the top. This is why there is a causative nexus between the collapse and the flying aircraft.

Iguniwei defined an infrasonic radiation as a low sonic radiation used as a weapon to cause massive structural damage and destruction to objects and materials using a type of sound measuring below 20Hz, a level that even the human ear cannot detect.

Mr. Iguniwei also told Chief Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe that infrasonic weapons, being highly classified, can only be owned by the state, terrorists or scientists. "Those of us who work with the security know that weapons are produced and they are always looking for where to test the weapons,” he told the court.

"I am of the opinion that what happened that day, especially with the strange plane-like objects seen in the video, was that an infrasonic radiation was fired upon the building. If you observe, you will discover that it took over half an hour after the plane left for the building to come down."

"Engineers generally believe that a structure would fail due to bad foundation and materials but if you go there to the collapse site now, the foundation pillars are still very intact. My position is that the building was weakened from the top", the witness explained

Meanwhile, the Chief Security Officer of The SCOAN, Sunday Okojie, played CCTV footage to the court showing scenes contrary to the sequence of events conveyed by the first respondents such as NEMA and LASEMA. According to him, LASEMA came to the scene of the incident on Friday, September 12, 2014 around 3:10pm without any equipment while NEMA arrived around 3:24 pm. The CCTV footage revealed that both agencies came ill-equipped and didn’t spend more than 30 seconds before being ushered to the scene of the collapsed building.
Additionally, throughout the rescue operation, they reported in the morning at 8am and left the scene by 5:30pm daily. When the SCOAN's counsel, Olalekan Ojo, asked him about the allegations by both agencies that they came with several heavy equipments but were prevented from performing their statutory duties by the church, Okojie retorted, "They were lying to cover their inadequacies. Can a vehicle carry another vehicle inside because from the video before us, they only came with one vehicle that was even empty?

“Also, it’s so sad that they resumed work at 8am and closed by 5:30pm like office executives. The only thing they were interested in doing was talking to the media. They were busy organising press conferences and were unconcerned with the lives they came to rescue. I can tell you categorically that it was church officials and technicians who were drilling holes and bringing the victims out of the rubble.

“It’s a shame on our country because foreigners were on ground and witnessed how all these sad events evolved. It was even the church who initiated the issue of Julius Berger bringing heavy duty equipment and we have receipts here to prove that we procured all the equipments used in saving those innocent lives. Here are the receipts of all hospital bills and even government morgues where we footed all the bills. If it was the state government who rescued those lives, there won’t be need for state hospitals to issue receipts in our name."

The state counsel said they were at a disadvantage due to the evidence presented by the witness and as such did not cross examine Okojie. He therefore requested for more time to watch the footage and fix a date later for cross examination, a request Magistrate Komolafe quickly accommodated.

Finally, Justice Lateefa Okunnu of an Ikeja High Court has adjourned hearing on the application filed by founder of The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua seeking stay of proceeding of the Coroner's Inquest, to January 12, 2015.

SCOAN, in the said application dated November 11, 2014 Court and marked ID/188MJR/2014, had asked for a judicial review of the coroner's proceedings, which began on October 13.

It had asked the High Court to declare that Prophet T.B. Joshua’s invitation to appear as a witness before the coroner was a breach of his right to fair hearing as no case had been established against his person before the coroner. It further contested that the coroner had been extending his inquisitions into areas beyond its statutory purview.

A town planner, Mr. Bisi Adedire, has opposed the submission by Lagos State that the collapsed six-storey building of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations had no government approval.

Adedire appeared as a witness in the ongoing coroner’s inquest into the death of the 116 persons killed in the unfortunate incident of September 12.

He insisted that the SCOAN paid over N20m to Lagos State Government to secure an approval for the collapsed building.

Adedire said the building also had a plan. He tendered the said building plan and same was admitted in evidence by the court.

“An approval can be secured even for a building that is already in existence,” he insisted.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr. Oluwatoyin Ayinde had told the coroner that his ministry had no record of the approval for the collapsed building.

Also testifying on Thursday, the Deputy General Manager, Air Traffic Control of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Mr. Rafiq Arogunjo restated that the suspicious aircraft that hovered in the Ikotun area on that day did not fly below 1,100 feet.

Fielding questions under cross-examination, Arogunjo submitted as follows: “We observed that the pilot maintained 1,100 feet at all material times during the training operation.

“There is no way I would have known the intention of the pilot on the day of the incident. I can also confirm that the flight plan was submitted to me, but I cannot remember the name of the pilot that flew the aircraft on the day of the incident.

“I don’t also know what the aircraft was carrying that day, and the identity of those in the aircraft is not known to me. I have no knowledge of the gadgets on board the flight and I don’t know the use with which the flight was deployed on the day under review.

“The control tower would not be able to know what the pilot was doing with the aircraft whenever the said aircraft goes off the visibility of the radar.

“We also carried out a scientific analysis on the distance between the collapsed guest house and the aircraft. There was never a time the aircraft flew over the collapsed building.

“But nobody signed the scientific analysis carried out on the distance between the building and the aircraft. “I don’t believe in the CCTV footage before the court and I cannot give answers based on the footage. “There is nothing in my deposition before the court that shows the horizontal distance between the aircraft and the collapsed guest house.

“The aircraft is designed for military operations to the best of my knowledge. But I don’t know if the intention of the aircraft was to hit any target. “The aircraft evidently flew near the building that collapsed at 1,100 fit. I have heard about an aircraft on a sabotage mission release invisible substance on a target lased with explosive device with the aim of bombing a target.

“I cannot confirm if the aircraft had such a substance and we did not lose sight on radar of the aircraft on the day of the incident.”

I was at the court yesterday, the attitude of the magistrate, Oyetade Komolafe, call for more concern, it look as if he has personal hate for Tb Joshua, interested party and member of the public at the corona court were so anger with the biased attitude been show by the magistrate, he is always visibly harsh on witnesses who gave evidence which seemed to support the controlled demolition theory.

I now see why the Lagos govt agencies are quick to push all blame to TB Joshua to cover their own fault in the matter

Have you take time to watch the CCTV footage released by Scoan, common sense will tell you its not structural failure , the way the building collapse is strange and the only way you can explain the collapse is control demolition. pls try and watched the CCTV video.

The coroner inquest into the collapsed building at the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, took off yesterday with the Coroner Judge, Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe requesting the South Africa government to allow families of the deceased to donate blood for DNA test towards identifying the victims, also some disables who claimed to have benefited from the goodwill of the church founder, Pastor T. B. Joshua flooded the court with placard asking who owns the private jet that flew close to the building?

Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe said he will facilitate early release of their corpses for burial after identification. Also, the Coroner Judge, disclosed that the court was not constituted to witch hunt, but to find the cause of the building collapse and the deaths as well as making necessary recommendations to prevent future occurrence in line with the state coroner law.

Magistrate appeals

In his appeal, Magistrate Komolafe explained that the DNA examination was a major aspect of the inquest, noting that it would be difficult for the pathologists to carry out their work if the deceased relatives were not available to identify their deceased relations.

Majority of the victims recovered from the debris of the
building collapse were South Africans.

Komolafe said: “I sympathize with the families of the victims as well as South Africa government, but I want to seize this opportunity to state the importance of the DNA to this inquest.

“Relatives of victims should donate blood to enable the pathologists identify the bodies. The medical team and pathologists are working because the court has directed them to carry out the activities and report back.

“It is important for the South African embassy to ensure that relatives of the victims come forward for the pathologist to get the needed samples to compare with the bodies.

“Those corpses have to be properly identified and when that is done and the process completed, the bodies will be released to the South African government and they can take them home if they so wish.

“We have to work together. We should not allow anything to cause misunderstanding between Nigeria and South Africa because we are one, at least we are blacks. Please, let us work together to make this process a success.”

Church assures on support

While the church represented by Prince Lateef Komolafe also promised an absolute support to the Coroner, the court urged necessary parties in the proceedings to cooperate with the court so as to come out with adequate information and recommendations.

Considering the procedure to be adopted to enhance smooth and speedy result, Magistrate Komolafe agreed with counsels representing the parties by allowing them to file their testimonies through affidavit deposition as
well as allowing oral evidence from witnesses.
He stated that the court was not going to be rigid in the
application of the rules of evidence and other court rules
except where it becomes extremely necessary.
However, he warned that he will not spare any witness
who disregard a court summon by compelling his
appearance.

Counsel to the church, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and
the state represented by Mr. Gbolahan Adeniran and the
State Police Command, represented by Mr. Chukwu Agwu
had had a tough time agreeing on when to visit the
scene of the incident.
Fagbemi had requested the court to grant his client
more time to enable them upload necessary documents,
evidences at the court registryas well as arranged their
witnesses, who he said will include some foreigners .
While the Officer in Charge of Legal Matters, Lagos State
Police Command, Agwu, aligned himself with the request
of Fagbemi, the state Counsel opposed the request on
the ground that the church supposed to have gathered
its witnesses considering when the time when the
incident happened.
The police lawyer submitted that he got the summon to
appear before the court as at close of business last
Friday, arguing he would need time to get documents
ready and prepare some deputy commissioners of police
for the inquest.
The arguments compelled the court to stand down the
case for 15minutes to enable counsels agreeing on a
date for the next sitting of the court and the time to
visit the locus (site of incident).
Moment after the resumption, the court finally fixed
Thursday for visit to the “locus”(site of the collapsed
building).
The Coroner Judge, equally appealed to all those who
failed to appear at the inaugural sitting to appear before
the court at the next adjournment.
He listed them to include the National Emergency
Management Authority(NEMA), Nigerian Security and
Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Office of the Lagos State
Surveyor General and Lagos State Emergency
Management Authority(LASEMA) among others.
He directed all counsels to upload all the documents
and evidences they intend to file and for responses to
be made before the next adjourned date, Thursday
October 16, when the court will visit the church while
fixed October 24 to begin the proceeding proper.
Beside the proceedings, some disables who claimed to
have benefited from the goodwill of the church founder,
Pastor T. B. Joshua flooded the court with placard
asking for justice to be done in the case.
Some of them who came on wheel chairs, were carrying
placards with various inscriptions such as: “Who is the
owner of the private jet that flew close to the building;
CCTV footage can’t tell lies. Please investigate; Tell us
the truth: Structural defect or a controlled blast;
“Why targeting foreigners; It is control demolition, not
structural failure; Tell us the truth, what collapsed the
building; Awareness matters, don’t give way to
terrorists.”
