I can’t be the only one that didn’t see anything special about Maguire’s performance yesterday definitely
A good performance devoid of his usual clownery yes but maybe y’all are not expecting much from him is why the hype is this much
He made many crossfield passes, headed clearances, tackles. I also remembered one solo run he made with the ball but the other players didn't support him. He was solid

2 goals in the first half of debut.

E no go better for those UK fans.
See that first goal! Here, our players are missing sitters every matchday. All our wingers are either inexperienced or out of form. We're easily atleast a top 4 side with him

..........great job here by Maguire.
De ligt might have to hold the bench a little and hope Maguire losses form, benching Maguire now won't be fair. I remember when we just signed Case then but mctominay was still starting.

Rashford did the right thing for once and passed even if it was a terrible pass. However, Garnacho holds 100% of the blame. No way he should be missing this
Also, assuming the pass was too fast or not in the right angle to shoot one time, he had enough time to take a touch first. Thank God we won, fans would've called for his head.

Og, relax... Give Morocco and SA this Spain team and they will chop goals...

The only thing we have over them is defence and gk. Also, that falcons coach is mediocre. A serious team would have sacked him since.

mention the three teams with better team than super falcons
Teams like SA and Morocco play better football. We legit could not string up to 5 passes.

They should stop qualifying for tournaments and remain in africa where they are local champions
Even in Africa, other serious teams are catching up. It's only a matter of time

Its high time super falcons stop coming to tournaments because they keep disgracing africa. They never improve. See what ordinary Zambia is doing
Like, bro!! It looked like senior team vs u17. There are at least 3 teams in Africa better than this team I just watched. Zero ambition, just hoffing ball like amateurs.

Dimehin is fully responsible for that goal. That foul was completely unnecessary and needless. There was no threat to the goal.
I can't even blame the girl, all she did was contest for the ball. Nigeria is a very horrible team, if not we won't have been dominated so much to that extent.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by hatakekakashi: 7:47pm On Jul 28
Imagine playing like this and expecting to be a relevant team. Let say we miraculously win this match, then what? We literally can't string 3 passes. SA, Morocco women would've done better, I'm sure.

That one is still new and has potential, we've seen enough of Ajayi already. Guy is too timid to a fault.

Drop ajayi who are you going to call

Don’t make it sound like we had saliba and we did not carry him
Torunarigha, Akpoguma, Ndah, even Balogun, I'll take anyone. How will you be a CB and be shying away from making a tackle?

It hurts to watch but I couldn’t stop watching

Benin were gifting us balls left and right to come attack them and tiaminu was busy passing to Nwabali

That right back Omo he deserves to be locked in jail

Npfl players are frauds
It's was very hurtful bro but I also didn't stop watching until like 2 mins to the end of extra time. That Benin team has no business beating us.
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by hatakekakashi: 7:04pm On Jun 10
Ajayi is not even good enough to make our bench, I don't know how trained coaches fail to see that he isn't good. Don't they watch ball??

That’s not the problem in terms of position they’re all shite

They’re just moving for the sake of movement

If we were to play like this against South Africa we would have lost with at least 4 goals
Bro, we needed to win the game and we were still playing back passes right from the start of 2nd half. Is it Nwabali that'll score. Well if the players say they don't want to play in the world cup, who are we to disagree? Let's start preparing for the next
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by hatakekakashi: 6:43pm On Jun 10
These players don't seem like they know what is at stake. You want to win but you keep playing back passes and misplacing passes here and there. Onuachu getting callups in 2024 is amusing

He's ever so calm like Courtois and Neuer. He's never flustered
Everything he did yesterday screamed confidence.

To be honest, that SA keeper too is top class. If we didn't have Nwabali, I'll be jealous of them.

Nwabali's performance went under the radar, he was solid. We now have a reliable goal keeper at last.

But let be honest with ourselves. Iheanacho, Onoacho had no need starting this game. Onyedika should not be on the bench at least. Finidi gambled cool
We have good players in this team, the coach just need to start the right players. I don't understand why people here are scared of Benin.

He press like 2 people but we still need Pks to beat SA at the AFCON. Our problem is not lack of pressers like Osimhen. in fact we do not need a forward to press like two players, as long as they can all press as a unit. Today we needed intensity in attack from start to finish.. we left it late.

We're saying the same thing. Or what do you mean by intensity in attack?

Onuachu is the most useless striker I've ever seen in the SE
Bro, I struggled to see what he offers that made the coach left him on the pitch that long. He lost almost all his aerial duels if not all.

We talk about the depth of strikers we have, but players like onuachu keep getting callups. When I'll give up on this coach is if he starts Onuachu next match.

Osimhen is clear of all our strikers in every way. His best attribute is that he presses like 2 people.

Another game and another goal drought for osimhen

But he is a world class striker

It is now clear who the sentimental lots are

But for sure it's not komekn
The team as a whole has regressed badly, it's almost as if Spaletti overachieved last season. If you think it's Osimhen's fault, check Kvaraskhelia stats too or any other player in the team.

Also, Osimhen has been battling injuries, he didn't start yesterday.

lookman goals were individual brilliance..apart from the first goal which was a team goal

Apart from that and the bus Atalanta parked..
Bayern played better
Player better how? Leverkusen were tactically outmatched!

Once a team have possession and shoot weak shots at goal, people automatically think they deserve to win.

Arsenal is truly cursed sha, this is their best team ever and in a season that was literally handed over to them on a platter...yet they did an "Arsenal" once again grin grin cheesy grin
That Villa loss was what ruined all their efforts this season, what happened to them in that match🤦‍♂️? It's really sad.
