The entire EU is next, hopefully. |
New Zealand is becoming more and more libertarian, with ACT and Libertarianz becoming more and more popular, as they are working to make New Zealand more libertarian by making more freedom, abolishing all anti-gun laws, and promoting a laissez-faire market, it seems that New Zealand may become the first libertarian country in the world. While the European Union and Canada become more and more liberal-socialist, it seems that NZ may be heading in the RIGHT direction. Hopefully America will follow, especially since the Libertarian Party is the third largest and fastest growing party in the country and is eventually going to overtake the Democrats and Republicans. What do you think, will the right-wing libertarians succeed in having a peaceful revolution in New Zealand? |
Never mind the extreme anti-science bias in the video, but a group of British scientists claim that it may be possible to increase the intelligence of primates/monkeys to make them capable of sentient thought on a level somewhat similar to humans. They're of course trying to take away our freedom and ban such research for no legitimate reason, and please excuse the massive bias in the video and form your own conclusions instead of taking their cookie cutter "they might overthrow humanity" false flag propaganda. http://www.reuters.com/video/2011/07/29/scientists-warn-of-planet-of-the-apes-sc?videoId=217664256 |
The stupidity in the OP is dumbfounding. |
American, European, Australian, Canadian, Jonathanland, and New Zealand politics are just getting stale it seems. Personally I find that the developing world’s politics are a little more interesting, they’re trying to build their nations up from these rural third/second world countries into powerful nations, and it’s interesting to watch them do this. Meanwhile the United States, Europe, and a few other countries/regions already did this and they’re all finished, but like Brazil, Nigeria, and Russia and them, they’re still trying to find their way, and it’s quite interesting to follow them on their struggle for greatness. Anyone else feel this way? |
Studies show that Internet Explorer users are objectively less intelligent than those who use other web browsers. Currently 43% of the population uses Internet Explorer, with 30% using Firefox, 19% using Chrome, and 8% using other browsers (Opera, Safari, etc.). It obviously makes sense that IE users would be less intelligent, since people who are intelligent switch to superior web browsers, such as Firefox and others, whereas it seems that people who are less computer savvy don't know how to switch from IE to another browser. What do you think of this study? http://articles.cnn.com/2011-07-29/tech/internet.explorer.dumb_1_browser-users-of-internet-explorer-google-s-chrome |
Yep, I'm American |
I'm so nervous that I can't even think straight. This girl I've been talking to online for the past few months and I have decided to meet for the first time tonight. We both went to the same high school, but we never met each other, which isn't surprising given how my high school is massive and has thousands of students. Anyway, I'm extremely introverted and very shy, I'm afraid I'm going to say something silly or feel out of place. We're meeting at a church, since she's very Christian, even though I'm agnostic (an atheist who doesn't rule out the possibility of creationism). Well I've never been to church before, so I have no idea what to do there or even what to wear. Plus even if I was a regular at that church, I would probably still be terrified, because we're meeting for the first time. I'm not even sure how many people will be there, what if we don't even see each other? It's youth night so there will probably be a bunch of high school kids there. Oh Nairaland, whatever shall I do with myself? |
Of course, it's no big deal. |
Why can't you reply to people and quote them? |
What does Jonathan plan to do about this? |
Why won't they just accept the vaccine? |
It's because they're the only superpower and the Soviet Union died. |
Barack Obama is celebrating his 50th birthday today. How do you suppose he's going to celebrate it? With a game of golf perhaps? Regardless of what you think of our president, let's wish him a happy birthday. Some say he was born in Hawaii, others say Kenya, and still others believe he is a reptile who came out of the hollow core of the Earth, regardless of his origins, he is with us here today. |
I bet I know how he'll spend his birthday: https://img.timeinc.net/time/daily/2009/0908/wgolf_0817.jpg |
What a good read. |
Great thread OP. I imagine it has a lot to do with tribalism and ethnic fighting in Nigeria, that Singapore didn't have. |
There cannot be freedom or security unless citizens are allowed to carry guns. |
A new bill has passed that would allow the government to watch the activities and history of internet users. They claimed it was to "protect prepubescent children from pornography" but the bill is worded in such a way that it gives the government access to everyone's browsing history and information. The liberals in several European countries have either already passed similar legislature or have plans on doing so in the future. The internet is one of the last bastions of freedom we have, and if this law comes into affect, the freedom we value so highly will be violated. This is just the beginning, the government already has the right to authorize extrajudicial assassinations of US citizens (source) and monitor our phone calls (source). For all we know next they might try to take away our guns (like the liberals did in Britain and Communist China) or take away our right to assemble. We must fight against this law and ensure that it never goes through. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/violetblue/how-the-new-8216protecting-children-bill-puts-you-at-risk/590 |
Wow, Saudi tax payers money at work, |
I've been following the situation in Malawi for a short while now and even contemplating making a discussion topic about what direction things will head. Well it looks like that very question has been answered, several non-governmental agencies are now pushing the International Criminal Court to prosecute Bingu wa Mutharika, the president of Malawi. I'm quite shocked that everything hit the fan so fast, it seemed like just a few days ago that the legitimacy of Mutharika's presidency was being called into question, and now this. It all happened so fast, what do you think of the situation developing there? The city of Nanjing, located in left-wing China has made a new law. A law that makes it illegal for individuals to own dogs and that all dog owners must turn their dogs in to the government. City officials claim that it is a response to the fear that some stray dogs may have rabies. Personally I think it's stupid, just like how the liberals tried to ban goldfish in San Francisco. What do you think of this? http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2011/08/03/138957434/chinese-city-bans-dogs-telling-owners-to-turn-them-in |
