Nothing you do can ever be good in the sight of haters. They will see you walk on water, and say it's because you can't swim. |
Bigotry at its peak. You are presenting a report about the lake Chad basin, yet you left out a payment that was made by a previous government. The very serious and to-detail president pointed it out. You said it's out of your jurisdiction or so. Asking the secretary to the lake Chad basin commission to clear things up. This should actually be celebrated. Sending a message to others, you cannot just come and drop anything at the presidents desk. It won't work. In his words, PMB said his figures may not be right, but he is certain a sum of money was paid which is not in this report. A 72 year old remembers something that happened over 6 years ago. Yet, the wailers will crucify him at every attempt. Not minding if they act senseless y trying to do so. And for those saying, the auditor general shouldn't be reporting to the president. He isn't presenting audit of financial transactions. He was given the task. The president can appoint anybody to do anything. |

Now that you're here, You have found Islam, you have been guided aright. Out of the many who lavish in the pool of ignorance and misguidance, a few have been privileged to embrace the true path to eternal salvation, Alhamdulillah you are one. Reverting to Islam however does not come on a platter of gold, it takes great tests and trials that are to be overcome during the transition stage into the new you.. Of these include the family (parents, spouses) dilemma, friends and peer group pressure as well as societal discrimination.. This however does not come surprisingly as Allah says "Do men think they will be left alone on saying We believe,, and not be tried? And certainly We tried those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and He will know the liars" (al-ankaboot 29 vs 2-3) The family, owing to the closeness, tend to be the first source of support or attack on a new revert to Islam.. A large number of reverts encounter terrible reactions from their family especially when they happen to be a sole revert. They are most times victimized, denied their rights in the family, many fail these tests and are plunged back into misguidance. New Muslims with supportive parents and siblings have really been blessed. Whatever their reactions are to your reversion, the basic teaching of Islam is to be kind and respectful to parents and relations; being a flag bearer of Islam amidst them, the actions and character you portray go a long way in changing their hearts towards Islam and perhaps, they might as well be illuminated with the light of guidance. The early Muslims were tortured so badly to make them leave Islam,, many were persecuted and some got martyred, but they never retracted their proclaimation of faith and held on to Islam which has now become a widespread religion throughout the world. Surely, their reward is mighty. Allah says, "so be patient. Surely, the (good) end is for the pious" (hud 11:49) It is a joyous moment for a new Muslim as well as Muslims present, as the guidance of Allah unfolds in a person's life. For the new believer, there is a sense of a family,, that the Muslim family will be there for them in the face of upcoming adversities. The reality however is that the support tend to waiver and very soon the new believer is left to himself. Their lives then become filled with tests from all corners during the process of laying the foundations of their Imaan. Consequently, issues arise which make them consider leaving (while some leave) Islam, months after being guided to the unblemished path, entering Islam with zeal and leaving with disbelief and hatred for Muslims and Islam. It's a duty upon Muslims towards new Muslims to ensure they are properly supported, taught the rudiments of the deen and ease their settling in into Islam in a bid to making them stand firm upon khayr and also to serve as motivation and trailblazers when those virile attacks start filtering in. Neglecting this may have fatal consequences as it implies the new reverts are left alone in this battle while the poaching eyes of the non believers still find and presurrize them on the acceptance of their own wrong teachings. It is upon us that they enjoy hitch free transition. I pray Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala never misguide us after we have lived our lives till this day on the path of righteousness, ease the trials of many new Muslims all over the world and make firm the feet of new reverts upon Islam. P.S: This piece is inspired by the video of a short story on YouTube about a revert to Islam faced with grave difficulties and now at the verge of falling back into misguidance. This happens so much in our environment and this piece hopes to remind Muslims of their responsibilities over this particular group of people as they (the earlier Muslims) should be their source of support in this transition stage as they go through a lot of rejections and ills by their loved ones that are still swimming in the ocean of misguidance. May Allah grant each and everyone of us the necessary zeal and power to stand firm in the face of oppression while helping out fellow Muslims in the face of persecution. Abdulhafeez Irekeola |

Information for Successful Candidates In order to gain admission after you have been informed of your success, please note the following: An SMS/Email will be sent to confirm your result status (ie: Pass or Fail) All successful candidates are guaranteed tuition waiver offers and will be required to pay an administrative fee of N6,000 After payment, candidates will receive the list of universities and documents required to process the application. Students are given a maximum of one month to submit all necessary documents Once documents are received, all offer letters will be issued within one month Visa assistance, flight assistance and pre departure briefing is conducted about a month before departure. The above excerpt was culled from the website. I have this fear "why would successful candidates pay an administrative fee before they even get to see the list of universities involved?. It's not like all universities in those countries would be participating. But by the way, one can wait till after successfully passing the test first. |

Hello, to everyone in here. Hope the new week has been going well. I need help with setting UP FTA channels for my strong decoder, SRT4669X11. I have two dishes, Already installed. Some years ago, it was installed with free dstv channels and multi TV. Ever since, the dstv stopped, I only get cctv and it's sister channels aside the multi TV stations. Which satellite, or frequencies do I change the other dish to. To enjoy more free channels along with the Multi TV. And/or the dish set to Multi TV if there's a better satellite with more fta channels. I believe I should be able to do it myself with the right guidelines and help in here. Thank you. |
