Back then in my secondary primary school days, when I was in primary 3, there use to be this gentle damsel in my class who I was so madly in love with but back then I don't happen to fall in the serious boys category even though I was brilliant. she is the gentle type and kind of detest guys that are in my category (the playful type). We graduated in from primary school but we ddnt go to the same sec school. when I still got to secondary school, I wasn't still the serious type, play play and play is all we do.
As fate would do it, this girl got transfered to my sec school when I got to SS1. my joy knew no bound when I saw this girl the first day in school after the long vac...she was looking more beautiful than primary school days.ladies are always on low cut in sec school but she still looks beautiful in my face then. As fate would do it again, she was given the blue vest when it the term for sport activities (I was the captain of blue house back then)...We got talking but romantic talks (we've never had one till date). I always gaze at her in class (Haa I too like this girl). i noticed she doesn't like the kind of guys in move with back then but I wouldn't ditch my goons for at girl. so still look at me as one unserious element. It was a bad xmas for a couple ,as well as their loved ones, coming from Ogbomoso to Abeokuta on the eve of xmas day when they were stopped by the policemen at Odo Oba along Iwo/Ibadan express way through one of their illegal checkpoints The gulf car in which they were travelling was stopped perhaps for the policemen to collect their usual illegal collection through illegal checkpoint .The policemen are from Iwo police station. The couple with their three children and another man were all crushed to death by a trailer with a failed brake.As soon as the accident occurred, the policemen took to their heels leaving their patrol vehicle behind. It is high time the activities of this policemen be checked. It has been said often and again that checkpoint has become illegal except in BOKO HARAM areas .Thorough investigation should be carried out on this matter and the perpetrators brought to book. Justice delayed is justice denied . The Inspector General of Police should take note of this bad eggs among the Nigerian police.An end must be put to all unauthorised checkpoints in Iwo and its environs henceforth.
