First attempt Zero funding 37k COA Abuja
Vo good morning
Me good morning ma (while I passed my documents)
Vo you are going to the university of Maine for masters degree in animal science
Me yes, with concentration in animal nutrition.
Vo what do you do?
Me I'm a research assistant at xoxo company where I research into improvement of livestock fed hay and forages.
Vo what will you be working on at the University of Maine?
Me (I stuttered and at this point I thought I had blown it.) I will be evaluating the effect of experimental formulation of experimental diet on livestock (this was total rubbish from what I had in mind I had to just join something to make sound legit)
VO tell me about your thesis
Me (I already gathered some momentum here) I will be working on use of fungal enzymes to develop nutritive additives to improve profitability in livestock production.
VO Who is funding your education? Me my brother mr kazeem , who is into oil and gas business. He also has real estate business and he currently oversee the family business.
Vo what is the family business Me we are into agro allied business
Vo (while typing voraciously for about 10 seconds rose her head and asked "you work with the federal government?
Me yes ma.(thinking I already blew it.)
Vo I will be holding on to your international passport . (Then she said those words people claim to not hear )
I remember picking the word passport and i-20. The moment I noticed she took my passport and didn't use her left hand to pick the blue paper, my mind was screaming "it's a lie"
The atmosphere was really bad today Chelsea FC just full Abuja embassy today. I would say 1 out of every 20 that went in was given white paper. I had to pinch myself if I wasn't dreaming.
This visa thing is not even by how fluent you might think you are. I was shaky throughout. At a point I told myself "Ayo, tiẹ ta". At that point I forgot what my thesis is about...I saw guys that were very fluent and even confident... na Blue paper dem collect.
Who go dash me correct jacket wey fit hold -20⁰C. Maine is not for the weak. |

Abuja was bloody this morning... A very tense atmosphere. I'm gonna drop my transcript soon. But those questions might not be in order. After my interview, I started wondering how people remember how the whole conversation with VO went. |

So I was wondering if students without funding don't get Thier visas approved. Most transcript here are those with full or partial funding. Those without funding and were approved should drop transcripts too nah |

sfApase: After making an inquiry from the school, I was given this reply;
Thank you for your inquiry and interest in our graduate program.
Our MBA program is currently accepting applications for Fall 2022 semester. Application deadline is May 1st, 2022. Your online application along with all required documents and $40 USD non-refundable application fee must be submitted to our Admissions office prior to the deadline to be considered. Please note that our MBA program is a 100% online program- we do not issue I-20 for MBA international students for this reason. I dont understand what you want people to tell you after getting this reply. you want to be told to go ahead that you would eventually be given I-20 to go the embassy? or you dont really understand the english that was used in that reply ?.....we Nigerians are so funny |

bustlezach01: Hi everyone,
I got an admission to study Mechatronics and Artificial Intelligence at MTU and the University of Bridgeport respectively, masters degree to be precise. I have decided to pursue the MTU offer because it aligns with my first degree.
MTU asked me to show proof of fund of 36.5k USD for the COA. I got a student loan from prodigy but it was rejected by MTU on the ground that the guaranteed amount is not up to 36.5k USD. The prodigy offer states that 18k USD has been approved with conditional approval of 37k USD in addition. But MTU insists he needs a guarantee of 36.5k.
So, as it is, I need 18.5k USD to make up for the deficit. Someone should kindly assist with info on how to raise additional funds be it through scholarships, grants etc. hmmm... guess you are new in the game...lets talk |

well, I think you wrong. Someone has posted about English studies here and with funding. She also got her Visa approved. Erudite77: PLEASE ANYONE CONCERNED SHOULD REPLY.
I've been on this platform for nearly two months. Yet I can't see anyone applying for language courses, especially English.
I've gone through this part 16 from the beginning to 90, no applications for language courses at all.
I will be grateful if any applicants who applied for language courses can signify.
This is the second time I've asked this question.
It seems graduate schools are dominated by science and social sciences.
Same thing I observed on LinkedIn.
Thanks in anticipation. |

To those wagging their tongues, it's not like I'm unkind, heartless like y'all think and assume. I think you just like to cover things like typical Nigerians would do. Instead of you to say things as they are, you will be taking corners to say things. Not like I'm mocking Approvalll or anything because of his denials. The first time I came across his post, I was even bothered and gave my own 1 Satoshi of advice to him until I noticed how unserious he always sounds. So I stopped taking him serious. My sacarsm sometimes are too strong. I apologize for that but I still try straighten things up when I discover it's getting out of hand. I don't know how old Approvalll is but I think I've got some respect for him. He must be a Gunner fan sha. To the "gboromideleru" , you can go and take your apology from Buhari. |

Predstan: So I forgot to include a troll and a dimwit Haywhy17 whose only job and task on this thread is to attack people. If you are not trying to correct people’s English, you are attacking them for speaking American English and the latest is mocking someone because he/she got denied of the US visa. What I’ve noticed about you trolls is that you got nothing doing, unaccomplished or you are just some high school students looking for attention. These are people who made sure people like BigFrancis, Lagosismyhome and some other helpful folks walk away. You guys are the ones who need help most but you are always first to attack anyone in an uncultured manner.
You were first exposed to US and the visa on Lionlee’s thread and still struggling to understand how to start and where to start. You keep jumping from the UK thread to the US to troll and attack People because you don’t know what you want. I hope that you retrace your steps. The fact that Justwise has been away or can’t see these posts is even why this things keep growing. People like this should not be able to post on this thread. Thanks for the recognition. I personally feel honored. I'm still sharing sallah meat o. |

Travel › Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by haywhy17(m): 1:33am On Jul 23, 2021 |
NigPatriot: So because he has been denied many times, hence he isn't qualified to advice visa hopefuls? That's a parochial thought process! Incontrovertibly, he is even in a good position for that because of the "many times".
Btw, how would you have even known he had been denied if not that he chose to post his experience here. It takes a lot to post a denied transcript. Most will rather be silent and wait for someone else to post something similar - and then take cues from the scrutiny.
Ironically, people will learn from denied transcripts than approved. He should observe and learn.. not advice |

Pefuele: To be sincere if you have been denied severally & you are able to reflect & analyse your applications in every case you should qualify to vet transcripts because you should have some experience. I don't think you are yoruba... if you keep failing at something and you can't correct it yourself, you are not in a good position to correct it for anybody that is also failing.. you seek help from those that have scaled the hurdle... |
