Thank God the day someone contacted me asking if I knew this @thaler guy, I made it clear that I dont know him and I only bought paypal from him which he sent to me before I paid him...

I stressed that i won't vouch for him and they should use escrow...

I've once been in this situation as an E-currency trader...

A guy made some payment for E-currency trades to me and other people he had deals with...

Around march this year, bank accts of and 9 of us were restricted and luckily, we were able to connect each other on nairaland business section...

Each of us went to our banks and we discovered that the payments sent by the guy to us was from a joint acct he operated alongside his sister who is outside the country... his sister complained about the transfers made from the joint acct and the bank sent out the other to all recipient banks abt it and that was what caused our account restriction...

They didn't arrest any of us or harass us but we had to wait till the guy and his sister resolved their issues before our accts got released...

still on this case. Since you are unable to convince the account owner to make another refund request. I have asked pexbank to ask his client to tell us when he will release the fund with or without request. We need to know this because the fund does not belong to him. Even if it is a scam fund, he does not have the right to keep the money.

Today pexbank told me that his US client claimed to have called his bank about the fund and he received a disturbing response. So I have asked pexbank to request for digital evidence of the bank response regarding the fund so we can finally know the truth of the matter

@bolded, did the guy confirmed that he received the request. If so, kindly supply the forum with the screenshot of the conversation page.

If he has never confirmed receiving the request, then the case is still twisted.

This case would have been resolved if both parties are not hiding anything.

I don't accept the excuse of the sender that he can't send another request because he is now angry. It's not a good excuse

Also, I don't accept the insistent of pexbank contact on refund request if he can actually ask his bank to refund

It's like both parties are not ready to settle the matter (and unfortunately both are middlemen).

So, if the sender didn't see his fund, is it a crime to make another request?

and if the sender did not send a request, is it a crime for fund receiver to ask his bank to refund the original sender.

One last question I will ask pexbank:
If the sender did not send refund request, how long will your client hold this fund before releasing it? or is he going to hold it forever?

Are you aware that The actual sender who isnt a nigerian won't bother abt fund again if he was paying for a job done for him by ola's client ...

From the whole story, what I see is a foreigner sent the fund and doesn't care what happens afterwards as long as he has paid to where ola's client told him to pay to and thus won't bother sending any refund request again.

If it were a fraudulent fund, the sender won't ignore the plead to resend another request and will continue sending the request until he gets back his money ...
