Two weeks ago i bought a new computer, here are the specs

HP Compaq 6735s

AMD Athlon
RAM 1GB
160GB HDD
Windows Vista Home Premium

I also have a Visafone Huawei USB Modem with 3.1mbps speed.

Keeping the specs in mind here is the problem:

My internet speed is SLOW, in a nutshell. I have tried the same internet connection on my old computer with XP Professional on and the speed is very good (streams videos etc)

My new vista PC crawls along on the web in EX6 and Firefox, i've tried everything i can think of, i have no Mc Affe or Norton, I turned off automatic updates, and the computer is clean of spyware and viruses etc.

Any solutions or thoughts would be very helpful!

Can anyone tell me where i can buy a PCMCIA USB Adaptor that works with Sierra 530 data card and how much it costs?

I think i'll rather go for the 5800 cause iphone seems a little complicated to me. Though i consider myself techy, i cant stand some complains i get from collegues that use the iphone;besides since 5800 is symbiam, i can get to download enough free applications and stuffs.

i think i have to pay Visafone a visit pretty soon, cause this connection is really pissing me off.

Guy, i got 15k to spare for that phone, always wanted to use gadget.

I recently upgraded my Visafone internet package from EVDO Silver to Gold, but am still getting the same speed. Initially, i was getting 115.2 Kbps and i expected the speed to increase, but it still remains the same. A friend of mine who uses the same package gets the speed of 3.1Mbps with  faster connection, although i use a sierra data and my friend uses USB device.

Can someone please advice me on what to do, cause i have been to Visafone and i was told the report will be sent to 'switch'; whatever that is.
