BusinessRe: For People Who Grew Up Poor And Eventually Escaped Poverty, Whats Your Story? by Heineken(m): 9:10pm On Mar 25, 2020
BruncleZuma:
Success is a mindset...I was a poor individual, a poor student but omo I am that person you'd have to kill and cut off his head before I ever give up. So here I am, doing decently for myself and my family.

I have starved, I have seen my parents and siblings hungry. I have run away from home twice just to escape poverty.

I have sold bread, pure water, akamu, I have worked in a pure water factory when they were all manual, I have seen my parents swallow their pride to borrow just so we'd go to school and have something to feed on, I have seen all this and I don't blame no village people.

All I needed through all this travails was an opportunity and the mindset to see it as one.

Don't get me started with the hand me downs, JESU! I wish no man poverty, no matter what side of the Niger you find yourself, it's worse than death. In death, you are at peace.

How did I do it: I read alot, I started doing graphics design and video editing to augment, switched to adding one or two kpali by browsing newspapers to know what's the latest professional course to do for the career of my choice, tried my hands in so many useless certifications that I had to chuck most of them.

I have confidence, my balls are made of brass and I am a fast learner.

Everything day brings it's own opportunities and I try to learn one new thing a day. Every useless information I have learned had come in handy in my current profession.

I waste nothing.

My advise, No fear anybody, nah hustle we all come this life to hustle, the highest them go talk nah NO, the worst they can do is call security.
nice one sir...

Summary of me Escaping Poverty: God, Determination, Perseverance, Service and Purpose.

1. You need to understand the meaning of Poverty before you can find a solution to it. Poverty is simply accumulation of needs

2. You need a reason to hate Poverty inorder to escape it. Am from a broken home, I saw what Poverty did to my mother despite being a fervent Christian. So I determined to break the cycle.

3. As a teenager, I hawked everything "hawkable" it helped me to build resilience and hardworking skills.
My first job after secondary school was #1000 as a teacher in year 2000 (too small right?) There is dignity in labour.

4. Select your friends: Some don't know they are poor, so stay away from such. Sacrifice youthful lust and exuberance, face your destiny. Older people make better friends, you will learn from their stories. Pray for Helpers of destiny.

5. Fight poverty physically and spiritually: I became born again in 2003. 50% of my poverty and problem was solved with that singular act. God showed me my future so I endured and persevered with my then challenges.

6. You may forget about Marriage or relationship when you are poor. It will save you from stress and keep you focus. After significant progress on your plan then marry or start relationship.

7. Get used to fasting and crying to God and crying for yourself.

8. Set goals and milestones for yourself. It helps you to know when you arrive at your destination. List what you intend to achieve at various age and stick with it. God works with plan and expectations. The Bible says the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short.

9. Render service to people/serve people without thinking of reward. Value prayer over money or reward while serving people. Their goodwill and recommendations will give you what you need. This is very important.

In conclusion, you can do it because I did it with God on your side. Your children and your world will thank you for it. I live in diaspora and a regular intercontinental flyer.
wow thanks so much sir for this.

And for all those celebrating that only the elites are testing positive. Don't celebrate yet
The common man is not willing to go for test. Most people in da street are already positive
Only the elites are going for test!

And they are going to recover fast because they won't be at the back of the queue for treatment and ventilator. Infact Them fit even oppress us carry the ventilator go elites and politicians house. But we real niggarrrs nor go green allow them! We die here

Some of you here are selfish, some are here to discourage others from submitting CV where they have submitted by telling them that their uncle or even Tinubu told them,if you have your way go to those agencies and find out yourself. People to fear on this thread are
1,How much is this agency salary group, when those that fall into these group ask this question just know that something is cooking in those agency they are asking about.

2,My uncle or senator told me that the agency are not recruiting group, this group group fear that the more people submit CV the more it limit their own chance of getting job in that agency so they have to tell you story to discourage others from going there.

3,this group of people will only talk when someone mention about the agency they have submitted CV to but refused to inform others that they are collecting CV but will only talk when someone mention the agency here,by then you will start seeing bro I sent you a mail, bro can we talk on WhatsApp or bro can we talk private.

4,The next group are those that will never comment but they are looking for information from those.

5, The last group are my group our work is to expose them and give out information grin cheesy cool
you're right though.

Now let's assume you are an undergraduate and you live with your parents.

Your dad works in bet9ja . Now, FG gives an order for all sporting companies (bet companies) to be shut.

Your dad goes to work the next day and he is handed a letter, that his services won't be needed for now.

Hope you are gonna praise the FGhuh??
