fergie001: Every President of Nigeria does so when seeking office or another term and Tinubu HAS done so.
Do you need a receipt to show you are eating? You as a mod shouldn't be making allegations you can't back up with evidence. Show us the receipts from the people who have received the money president Tinubu has been throwing around for his reelection as you claimed |
Politics › Re: If Atiku-obi Couldn't Defeat Buhari, Why Do You Think It Can Defeat Tinubu? by helinues: 5:04pm On Jan 11 |
fergie001: Buhari had millions of votes in the kitty even if he was permitted to run a third term. Since 2003, he alone had that number INTACT good or bad in every election cycle.
On the contrary, Tinubu's pathway to the Presidency was not commanding and defining. This is the reason he started campaigns from his first day in office. There was no STAMP in his 2023 victory, those who feels the opposition has a chance are not wrong.
Again, there will be casualties especially in the NASS however I think Tinubu will be returned because he has thrown money and pecks of office around that the opposition cannot even take a stand or see itself. He is the luckiest politician since 1999, to even see opposition supporters tear at each other in a daily basis.
Some things rwmain the same: - Atiku takes ADC ticket - Obi must be on the ballot
So what will happen, another divided opposition! @ emboldened, I am just curious. Do you have the receipts from those who president Tinubu has thrown money at? |

Honestly, if you have been watching the Eagles In this tournament, then you won't see big deal about Osimhen's lashing on Lookman.
If others have been selfless the way Osimhen has been in this competition, we should have been on 20 goals by now
At least I must have watched over 70% of the matches in this AFCON. It's tradition |
Politics › Re: Obi Became Anti-Democratic After 2023 Election - LP Chieftain by helinues: 6:27am On Jan 11 |
Obi never believed in democracy right from the on set When Nigerians were protesting against Abacha's regime wanting the restoration of democracy back to Nigeria, Peter Obi was busy getting appointment from the same Abacha meaning he cared less In Peter Obi's 8 years as Anambra state governor, he only conducted local government election in his last year in office and that was even forced by court not that he wished to. Democracy mean nothing to Peter Obi A real democrat should be able to contest party primary election for any position he might be seeking for but in Peter Obi's political journey, he has never participated in any political primary election before. https://www.nairaland.com/8595229/peter-obi-never-contested-political |

festacman: In case you don't know, this is Osimhen's way of apologising to Nigerians for that avoidable moment of madness against Lookman in full glare of the world in the Match against Mozambique.
However, his sterling and selfless performance against Algeria is enough apology.
Carry go, jagun jagun! Osimhen has actually been selfless with his passes in this competition |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Algeria: AFCON Quarter-Finals (2 - 0) On 10th January 2026 by helinues: 9:40pm On Jan 10 |
Shattuck: I doubt Nigeria can win these case, there is something called sporting nationality if you can prove ties either your parent or grandparent is from that country then you are eligible to represent that country, Dr congo players don't even need to be legal citizens of congo to be eligible to represent Dr congo. I doubt FIFA would favour Nigeria, FIFA don't even care much about local law. I doubt if you comprehend what you are responding to |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Algeria: AFCON Quarter-Finals (2 - 0) On 10th January 2026 by helinues: 9:06pm On Jan 10 |
ppogba: Absolutely nothing stops Congo from saying they have changed their law. It is WC we are talking about here.
Internal laws no concern FIFA. You are not getting it. Congo stated their eligibility law to the FIFA, not only Congo but other countries. Some of the Congo players used fake pass to get eligibility from FIFA Though, I would prefer Congo to be fined than losing the spot for the world cup |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Vs Algeria: AFCON Quarter-Finals (2 - 0) On 10th January 2026 by helinues: 8:45pm On Jan 10 |
ppogba: There is nothing in it.
DRC did not breach any FIFA law.
All the players Nigeria are protesting against have parents and grand parents of Congolese origin.
Nigeria's protest against them is that there is a Congolese law that says you can not have two passports of different countries and represent them. Wan Bissaka and a host of others have same. This does not concern FIFA as long as your nationality is fully established.
Nothing stops the Congolese authorities from saying they have changed rheir law internally. Well we are yet to hear from FIFA officially but you see the law of Congo, it doesn't allow dual citizenship. Have the players affected destroyed their foreign passport or officially came out to renounce their foreign citizenship? |
