So what's your point? Tinubu lost Lagos, but Sanwo-olu won the gubernatorial in Lagos. This was replicated in many other states with APC governors. This goes to show that local elections are a different ball-game from presidential elections. The stakes are also much higher. It's good for optics but only naïve people will use this by-election as a testament of what is to come in 2027.

By your logic, I guess it's safe to say that Tinubu will lose Oyo state in 2027 with APC having failed to win Oyo North which is even traditionally an APC stronghold. Or are you telling us that Yorubas who voted Tinubu in 2023 in Oyo state simply voted for their tribesman?

If you believe Tinubu will still retain Oyo state in 2027, what makes you think Obi will fail to win Anambra state in 2027 or that Anambra and other locations in this by-election will vote Tinubu?
