I watched brief interview of the Botswana president. When he was asked about the over 100k new jobs he will create if elected as president and has been a president for a year plus, he said that promise was easy to make during the campaign but when he got to power, the salvage of the country economy have to be prioritized first before any job creation.

I have only participated in 2 elections in real time. One is Sug and the other is the reelection of my then state governor.

You see the Sug election . I didn't even know the candidate until the election was close as he was introduced by another friend. I eventually became the main team leader, eventually we loss the election, no fighting, no grumbling, just take it as loss as move on.

The governor reelection, even the governor himself knew he might loss the election as everyone deserted, in my dad's case it's not possible as we from the same ward with the governor, we fight to the end, at least we will win our side.

The governor loss his reelection, no petition, no time wasting in court, everybody move on.

I grew up with such kind of politics mentality, if you win celebrate, if you loss, count your loses and see where things went wrong for better preparation for the future.
