Yes, some day when I become a father, I want my kids to be proud of the color of their skin and proud of their ancestors! So, I can "laugh at them" when they look back and see how much those before them have accomplished.

I rather my kids feel comfortable when having conversations with kids from other other parts of the world than feeling inferior because their predecessors all sat down eating bananas while the rest of the world progressed! While the world were making progressing and adapting, they were busy screaming "one Nigeria" but did nothing to make any progress.

The black man is not cursed but he is his own problem, yes colonialism and neocolonialism happened and is happening but these global powers didn't stop you from having good roads or providing a sound education for the younger generation.

Where do you see this middle class Africa that has TRIPLED in 30 years to 313 million, portrayed in the world media?

NOWHERE.

So you can either believe the lies of CNN, BBC et al, that Africa is irredeemably backward, or you can STUDY THE REAL FACTS AS THEY ARE, which are that AFRICA IS RISING.

It will NOT happen overnight.

But Africa is RISING.

Finally, black people are behind because most of our countries at independence had a large poor underclass...which forced government to spend a lot on subsidised services to these people. That of course could only continue with loans, meanwhile because the subsidised services can only run well at a profit...you get the gist.


UK is very developed. In the UK, power companies raise prices as they wish. You can't pay, you sleep in darkness. That means power companies have money to build and supply power that keeps the UK industires running. Nigeria can't do that, we don't have enough customers rich enough to pay for power at cost reflective prices.

Maybe you should tell your people in UK and Canada to come back home.
So you don't know people travel to other regions for business purposes?
Why must the government squeeze everything in small Lagos state? Why can't they spread development to other regions?
An Igbo is totally different from a Yoruba man and same with an Hausa man.
In the eastern region, Igbos and people from cross river/awka ibom kind of share almost similar culture. So, they can live together happily.
Why is it difficult for you to understand? Lagos was developed by the federal government and other hardworking Nigerians. It will always attract wise ones there for business purposes.
Give the eastern region permission to manage themselves and see how they will develop the area.
