Nigerian born Spanish lawyer, criminologist, forensic expert and writer, Helen Mukoro Idisi, has emerged the presidential candidate of an opposition party for the forthcoming election in Spain. She has made history to become the first woman and an
immigrant to emerge presidential flag bearer of a political party. She will be running on the platform of Union De Todos, a party she founded earlier this year.
Helen was born in Delta State and worked briefly in the Governor’s Office before she travelled to Spain in 1992. She gained prominence in Spanish politics, when she founded a political party and later became the first Nigerian-Spanish to contest for the Mayor of Denia in May this year. Although she lost the election, her popularity soared higher as several people endorsed him for the highest office in the land.
She is the daughter of Mr. Anthony Mukoro (the late Director General of the Defunct Bendel state Government Treasury’s Cash Office, and Mrs. Mary Mukoro. She studied Law at the Spanish National University, and holds a Master degree in Criminology. Masters degree in Social Education, a Post Graduate Certificate in Tax and Labor Management, a Post Graduate Certificate in Forensic Psychology, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Immigration and Domestic Violence. Worked as a legal Consultant
(immigration department) at the Red Cross Society, Spain. Owner of a legal firm. President at the African Europe Chamber of Commerce. And founder of the party, ‘UNION DE TODOS’, Spain.She worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Benin City, Nigeria. Deployed to Governor’s Office (Women Affairs Department) as Agricultural Officer, to help the rural women in Agriculture, and Asaba when Delta State was created.
Speaking on why she decided to go into politics, she said: “I went into politics because; we have to become more involved in decisions that affect us as citizens. And we have an obligation to ensure the legacy we leave to future generations: Politicians, we all are. I saw the need to go into politics as a means to making my explanation of political leadership that suits the interest of the people and I’m ready to listen and care for the needs of constituents.” The 2015 Spanish general election would be held on or before Sunday, December 20, 2015.

To celebrate the honour, our manager was presented with unique framed certificates marking his achievements at Cobham recently.
Mourinho’s five managerial records in the latest edition of the famous and prestigious book are as follows:
Longest football unbeaten home run by a manager (nine years)

Most Champions League titles with different clubs (two)

Youngest manager to reach 100 Champions League matches (49 years 12 days)

Most points in a Premier League season (95)

Most games unbeaten at home in the Premier League (77)

Mourinho was pleased to be recognised by such an iconic publication. ‘The fact they gave me the awards in a way that I can put them up in my office is nice,’ he said.
'It’s something fun and as a kid you could never imagine that one day you would be in the Guinness Book of Records.
‘You know me, these awards are for something I did in the past and obviously it’s nice, but for me what’s more important is what I can do in the future.’

A lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in
the Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH),
Engineer Stephen Tekum was yesterday arrested by men of
the Department of State Security, DSS while delivering a
lecture in the institution for extorting students.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that Stephen was arrested while
delivering a lecture at the ETF lecture hall with students by
officials of the DSS led by senior management officials
including the Vice Chancellor, VC of the institution,
Professor Anthony Owan Enoh in what some students
described as judgement day for the lecturer who many say
is a notorious ‘sorting master’.
Findings by CrossRiverWatch also revealed that Stephen
who is a graduate of the institution and was sponsored by
the institution for his Masters degree outside the country,
upon his return became a thorn in the flesh of students.
Investigations reveal that Stephen requires his project
students to pay a minimum of N25, 000 naira for his project
students with a proof of payment into his account and
demands up to 50 thousand naira to pass carry over
students.
Students who spoke with CrossRiverWatch say he had
earlier been warned by the Vice Chancellor but paid no heed
which forced the head of the institution to invite officials of
the DSS.
Efforts to speak with some members of the institution’s
management proved abortive as some were tight lipped on
the issue.
