Nollywood actor and husband of singer Muma Gee, Prince
Eke, has written an open letter to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
He is asking him to allow the younger generation to take
positions of authority as he had already been in power and
other top positions when he was young. It’s also quite funny
read;
“My letter to BUHARI, Sir ,let us examine your service
records. I consider your generation a very privileged one,
indeed. In 1975 at d age of 33, you were appointed d Military
Governor of d North-Eastern State, present day Borno &
Yobe states. In 1976 at d age of 34 you became d Minister 4
Petroleum and Natural Resources. In 1978 at d age of 36
you became d Chairman of d Nigeria National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC). Today d reverse is d case. Most
Nigerians at age of 35 are still unemployed and still living
with parents. Many are still not married. During your time
you were already Governor at this age.
“One major reason for this unfortunate turn of events is that
many elders like you have refused 2 voluntarily handover d
baton 2 d next generation. Life should be a relay race where
one runs his race and hands over 2 d next. In Nigeria many
elders like you have run their races and are still holding on
tenaciously 2 d baton.But Sir, I have an important question
here 4 you. The question is simple, MUST YOU SERVE
NIGERIA AS A PRESIDENT ONLY? IS THERE NO OTHER
CAPACITY YOU CAN SERVE US EXCEPT D PRESIDENCY? It
is very erroneous 2 imagine that you can only serve Nigeria
only in one capacity. During d regime of late General Sani
Abacha, you accepted d appointment 2 serve as d Chairman
of d then Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF). D general opinion
was that you served faithfully in this capacity.
“Well done Sir! But you never asked Abacha 2 vacate office
4 you as your former subordinate in d army. Never! In fact
that would have been a dangerous move, if not suicidal.
Rather you served faithfully under your former junior in d
army. Sir, imagine if you take on another job like d
Chairman of EFCC or ICPC or NDLEA. Nigerians actually
need you 2 serve in one of these capacities much more than
they need you in d Presidency.
“Mere mentioning your name as Chairman of EFCC would
drive many corrupt men underground. But you wouldn’t .
Either d Presidency or nothing. When are you going 2
handover 2 d next person? It is either you do it voluntarily or
risk disgrace at d polls. God bless you sir.


I can't even queue for 15mins in the bank not to talk of 44hrs

A heartbroken husband queued for 44 hours to buy the new
iPhone 6 in a bid to win back his wife after she kicked him
out – because of his obsession with gadgets.
Darius Wlodarski, 41, started queuing outside the Apple
store in Cabot Circus, Bristol at midday on Wednesday to
make sure he would definitely be able to get one of the
handsets.
His wife Joanna called an end to the 20 year marriage after
she accused him of valuing material possessions over his
family.Wiltshire, decided to make the peace and spend £800
on a new iPhone for her – despite being out of work.
He was determined to keep a promise he made to her before
their marriage hit the rocks and paid for the device on a
credit card. He said
‘I wasn’t the best husband and father unfortunately. I
didn’t know how important family was to me.I did so many
things wrong and I want to say sorry to my wife and
daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could.’Lots of people in
the queue were very happy but it was different for me
because of the circumstances.It took me a while to realise
what really mattered – and that is my family.My wife said
to me I should remember that it is now “things” that matter,
that I was worrying too much about saving for things, and
she was right.I know an iPhone is another “thing”, but I
told her I would get her one and I wanted to keep my
promise.’
I got the new iPhone for her because she wanted it. The
first iPhone I bought for her, she was so happy, I was
telling her for a year that she would be happy but she didn’t
believe me and eventually when she got it she was happy,’
he said.
‘Now she wants the bigger screen so I got her the bigger
one.’I want to say that “maybe one day you will realise
that I could be…good again and maybe you’ll trust me
again”, I don’t know. Sorry.
‘I just wanted to make sure that I get what she wanted. 44
hours in total – I was the first, nobody was here for
another day but I did it to make sure that I got what she
wanted.’
Mr Wlodarski does not expect that the gift will win her back
but hopes it will bring her happiness

An early morning fire outbreak has destroyed a popular
mobile phone village in Kano.
Reports indicate that about 95 percent of the market, along
with goods worth millions of naira were consumed by the
fire.
The Kano state fire service, said the fire started at about
2A.M in the morning, possibly as a result of electrical spark
from a shop in the market.
The service calls on people to ensure they put off all
electrical appliances before closing their places of business
and also at home before going to bed to avoid such cases
as many have been experienced in the past.
