All these people asking to be added to the group, una get sense at all? A person is asking how to make someone an admin in a group he created not looking for who to become the admin. Even if that's the case, common sense should have been to find out what the group is all about first before asking to join. Seriously, are you guys that silly? |
Guys guys. No need to fight over this OK? Like I said, this is just an experiment for me. I have handled Windows Phones in the past but never used them as a daily driver. Since I'm coming from Android, I will post my review and observations about the platform, both pros and cons without any bias. So, let's not turn this into a "my OS is better than yours" argument. |
weezii:How on earth is this easier than using DAZ that requires just a click of a button? |
talktimi:Actually, I do have loads of reasons to stick with Android. But like I said, when you are techie, you need to test the other platforms and be very conversant with them. So, even if they aren't your daily driver, you can still use them to the full potential when you find yourself in a place where it is your only option. |
Mariesio:Lol. I know. But as a techie, one has to at least give other platforms a try before giving up on them. Who knows, I might find some feature that i love that isn't available on Android. |
Lexusgs430:Thanks. |
Lexusgs430:Ok. Thanks. From which site did you buy it from? I need to unlock mine. |
Sorry, on a totally different thing. Did it come unlocked or u unlocked it urself. If you did, can you tell me how or where u had it done. I have the same phone but it is locked to AT&T USA. Thanks. |
Hey guys. After being on the Android train for like eons, I decided to give the Windows platform a chance to steal my heart. I went on a hunt for a Windows phone that will be cheap but also come with Windows Phone 8.1 pre-installed. Checked out the local stores here (Slot, Jumia, Konga etc), but the cheapest I saw there was Nokia Lumia 520 for 19k - 21k. Luckily for me, I stumbled upon a deal on amazon just yesterday. AT&T was having a flash sale on Nokia Lumia 635 for $29.99. I figured, what the heck, let me pick one up and get it unlocked when it gets here. Will give u guys the low down on how things are going between us. |
DanIndia:Ok, was actually online and waiting for the session invite since 9:30am. I then came here and saw ur post. Sorry for replying late. That time is kinda too early for me. I gather you aren't in 9ja at the moment. Let's see how things go in time. |
DanIndia:No problem. Lets say Saturday, 10am? |
DanIndia:Sorry, I just got to see this and couldn't make it. I will make myself available for a hangout this weekend for sure. But during the week, I can't always guarantee my availability. |
DanIndia:Yeah, PT is very good if you are starting and once you have attained a certain level of mastery, PT won't cut it anymore for you. That's when you start craving real life equipments or you start using GNS3. |
DanIndia:@DanIndia, well it was to be expected given the current network situation in the current, although you did give a heads up about the requirements I don't think everyone really understood that. Nevertheless, never be discouraged yet. The clouds, I kept them simple by running IS IS on them, just to give the semblance of the internet. I aimed to connect the two office routers to each other using an encrypted tunnel which automatically enables me to run a routing protcol between the two as if they were directly connected. You are correct about the L2 and L3 switches, I connected them via etherchannels although, I am not using any etherchannel protocols for them. The L3 switches serve as the gateway for the access devices and I'm running GLBP as my FHRP on them allowing for redundancy. The router then acts as the gateway for both switches and the 3 are running OSPF as their internal routing protocol. As for complicating things, that was my plan. I wanted to complete this setup and then use it as a template for other labs that I might build later eg site to multi site vpns, a lil bit of ipv6 routing, and maybe a bit of mpls later. I'm currently studying up some CCNP materials and intend trying out some things as I learn them. |
Just a simple lab I was playing with earlier last week. Simple design for two offices running a site-to-site VPN with full redundancy in the access and distribution layers. The routers are running EIGRP between them. I will upload the configurations later when I'm through with them, I hit a bit of a snag due to an error in GNS3 that is affecting some of the configurations I planned on putting on them. So, I left it for a while until I'm less busy.

For those using GNS3, I will suggest using the Cisco IOU images. It is quite easy on the resources and you can add much more devices than you would with the IOS images. |
@DanIndia. Will love to join. Been in the networking world for some years now, just been too lazy to certify (but planning on getting at least 2 this year, starting with CCNA SP ). Done some simulation of real life networks on my own, nothing too fancy though. Might not always be available to join the online sessions but you can count on me to help anyone out with any questions they might have on this thread. |
MOG1D1:Hahaha. Correction, Chadian troops took back 30 towns. |
read your english...And what's wrong with the grammer? Are you really that dumb and daft? |
nigerians with their mentality...i hope you not one cause Thunder wy go fire you dy do pressup..non-sense like he won't use the cheat if whatsapp is hackedDumbass, so I will go running around for a cheat that might get blocked as against paying 206 naira to have peace of mind for a year. Did you mortgage your brain to buy the phone you used to type that? |
DANDONdGreat:Just go to ur device's appstore and search for whatsapp and download it from there. |
@Shadowgwalker, Hahaha. And will you keep buying sims as the block it simply to chat on whatsapp when you can easily move to telegram? |
Being doing that with both airdroid and superbeam for eons. |
@Pelboy, Don't be so sure o. |
I guess this means it will affect of 9ja users cos many here use Whatsapp+ more than the official client. **Edit**. So this is what it feels like to make frontpage and 1st to comment at the same time. Mscheew.... Was expecting to see the heavens open and angels descending, singing hallelujah. Very anti-climatic |
Users of Whatsapp sending messages using different, unofficial clients are risking to be permanently banned from the online messaging service. The information comes from the German website Mobiflip which received several complaints from users.Culled from http://www.myce.com/news/whatsapp-now-permanently-bans-users-using-third-party-apps-75246/ |
I thought you said you were selling it at a cheap price. How is 30k cheap? |
What you need is a miracle. |
twinskenny:I could give it a shot. Let me know when all fails. |
Bro, I will advice you to forget fixing the screen. Mine had the same issue and I was told it can be fixed for 34k at Sims Ikeja and 28k at Slot. When they showed me the screen they intend replacing it with, I found out that it is a fake china screen that I can easily order for online for less than 25% of that price. So, I did the next best thing. Went on Ebay and got me a clean, used Note 2, hoping to use the screen to replace mine. When I got the phone from ebay, it was looking almost brand new except for a few wear and tear on the back case. So, I dumped my old, broken phone and unlocked the new one and started using it. How much did it cost me? 24k. But note that I did that last year, before the increase in dollar so, be aware that it might be different now. A heads up, if u have anyone in the US, you can get a blue HTC One (M7) for $150 on Best Buy, but it is locked to either AT&T or Verizon and can easily be unlocked and used here. Don't waste ur money trying to fix ur old phone only for it to spoil again later. Just get a new one. |
Seems like the SME market is not moving again like it used to. I use Etisalat and one thing I notice on their network is that they have learned from MTN how to cheat users. For each and every call I make, my phone's timer shows the duration to be one or two seconds less than what Etisalat says it is and charge me with. For instance, I make a call and my phone shows the duration to be 1:04 (that is 1 min and 4 secs), Etisalat will send me a USSD message telling me that the call lasted 1:05 or 1:06, and they charge me based on that time. Now, before you say it, let me tell you that my phone starts its timer from 00:00 and not 00:01 and it starts reading from the moment the call is picked, so there is no way the time is off by my phone. Now I have tried this on my mum's phone, sister's phone and babe's phone (they all use Etisalat) and I found the same thing happens there. So, imagine ripping everyone on their network of 25-40 kobo each time they make a call. It seems small, but when u do the math, it amounts to millions of naira daily. Now, this is just one of the ripoffs. My mum's line gets 70naira deducted randomly 2 or 3 times each month. I have called customer care on each occasion but they tell u stories like the transaction hasn't been updated on their system and hence can't see it nor refund it. This is why, when I see a cheat on their network, I will use and rock it till I can't rock it no more. |
