timbros: Two signings brought X factor...
...but credit goes to one person.
Why? Maybe VVD’s signing was more felt because the other one is a goalkeeper. |

thorrvik55: U guys should rest already.. With VVD at the back Liverpool won the league and Champions league, let's see how far they go this season without him.. It's still to early for all this My point too, it’s too early for this. VVD is rated today because of that X factor he brought to liverpool defense and they won epl and ucl, individually, he was the uefa player of the year so the man is talented. |

raumdeuter: There was Matip and Allison who were helping him even when he missed the first leg
Without either of them he was conceding 7
I am almost sure Liverpool wont concede 7 without VVD The signing of VVD and Alison brought that X factor to Liverpool backline, this is why every football lovers rates him so high, including football organization and pundits. Now that there is stability it is safe to play anyone in his position and still get CS, but on the other hand they can still be whooped in his absent and also when he is present, it’s football so anything can happen |

raumdeuter: So who was carrying them Was it Messi who couldn't carry Argentina Unproductive Iniesta Pedro Cannot defend Pique Or Fraudiola
Name the people carrying them In that 2010 wc triumph xabi Alonso was the one doing the dirty job in DM, he was the one throwing those long passes from DM, Bousquet was just there to play short passes to either xavi or iniesta due to that Barca system. We have puyol, Sergio Ramos, Casillas, xabi Alonso, xavi, iniesta, David villa and Silva who ran the show for Spain. Little wonder with all those success Bousquet has never been nominated by either Uefa or fifa for anything. |

lateefGRDT: The things i see on this thread sef ehnnn...
If they want to critisize hazard, stats is all they masturbate about..but, since it's lampard now stats are not more relevant!!
Same busquetes they have been calling world best couldn't defend a 2 goals lead against a 10man chelsea and it was still lampard who sliced barca midfield with a pass for the ramires goal...
Raum with his amala turning skills uses 'bossing a final' as a criteria but still insists salah is greater than drogba who scored in almost every final he played at Chelsea...
I no know why people still dey take that bros serious.. Sometimes i dey feel say he purposely dey sound stupid just for cruise Bousquet has never been world best in his position, he was a carry along player during Barca dominant days, he was just like Valdez in the team. Valdez’s usefulness was to pass from the back, he wasn’t great in terms of making saves which was supposed to be his primary role, same with Bousquet that can not defend as a defensive midfielder, he was just there to make short passes to either xavi or iniesta. |

And How tf is Vinicius even in the list, let alone putting him above Greenwood? This is politics. |

Melvyn11: Nope wrong bro. The core of Barca dominance during Pep Era was their Midfield dominance championed by Xavi, Iniesta and then Busquet. Messi was the cherry on top of a well oiled system. A system that worked perfectly in the Spanish national team without Messi that enabled them dominate international football. Remove Messi and put a world class goalscorer like Ronaldo in that system and only God knows the kind of record he would have shattered. And you think cr7 will flourish well in tiki taka system. |

OVA200: Bakayoko that will misplace a 6 yard pass. I always wonder how is it that difficult for him. For him to make it this far in football is a miracle. He is just one of those lucky human out there. This is why I don’t rate players with stats, I watch them play to make my judgment. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by hensben(m): 9:30am On Nov 19, 2020 |
OVA200: You are partly right but with pogba you can form a system for him to flourish and he will do excellently well; just like his France to United performance but in Bakayoko's case put him in a strong midfield set-up of any kind and he will end up flopping more.
Pogba can pass if properly cover from onrushing player; Pogba can shoot if presented with good chance; Pogba can shield the ball if caught in tight angle; Pogba can dab if his risky shot enter the net.
Bakayoko can't do any of that to save his life. He will just be sweating like Christmas goat. Thats true tho. Bakayoko can’t do football basics. |

If the FA remove the quota system for teams, most of the top teams especially won't even have a lot of them in their squad You are right. |

They only know how to run and shaku shaku with the ball. Look at the way the Belgians are moving whenever they have the ball. Intelligent movements to receive and pass and beautiful passing techniques from Witzel and Tilemans even in tight spaces.
Only few English players have actual football sense. Infact if we should count them throughout the last 2 decades , they no fit enter 10 Ive known since, I’m just pointing it out again because watching them play is annoying and the way their media hype them you will think they are very good. Imagine 10 outfield players deep deep in the opponents half when they are not chasing a last minute equaliser. I mean, a quarter of the game have not even being played!
It was comic. It means the coach failed to instill discipline into the players. |

I watched him very well at Juve, he was a raw talent that still needed to learn some midfield basics and if at all you want to see his best he has to be played with very good midfielders with work rate; Matuidi, Kante, Pirlo and Vidal are/were his backbone. |
