lordfalcao: if I show you Epl strikers missing lesser hard chances than that, what will you say now?
I mean that specific chance. This time, Jackson didn’t miss and didn’t even try to. I know he is not a fully established player yet, he should be shooting from there is my point.
bisqit: All he needed to do was tint his body to the left to enable him place the ball with his stronger right foot. Ballzproblem2 and drisham should continue supporting mediocrity
Another option for him since his left leg is dead. Strikers are scoring this type of chances on every match day, they will score one this weekend also.
lordfalcao: even the people that claimed to play football cannot see that the over hit pass bounced before Jackson could catch up with it.
Ndi I played football.
Jackson is awful as a striker bruv. He ought to be on the bench if not that Nkunku couldn’t adapt to new tactics/formation aside 352 formation. Nothing wrong with Palmer’s pass. I don’t want to refer you to OGs, go watch other Epl striker this season and see the angle they are scoring from unlike Jackson. A striker that can score from tight angle that one na striker.
swiz123: Palmer should have scored that goal 💯 or at least square the ball like a professional player. Blame him first before blaming Jackson for not being a Wayne Rooney which everyone here knows he's nothing near to that standard.
Palmer's stupidity cost us the game, simple.
Palmer is an attacking midfielder with sense so he did the right thing Jackson made that pass awkward with his movement after seeing the pass, he look scared before even getting to the ball. He is awful in front of goal. Nkunku, Enzo and Sanchez have to go for us to really compete for any trophy. I mentioned these three because they were meant to be first 11. Colwill and Jackson need to be on the bench for proper signings like Isak and Tchouameni.
Fast forward to the Palmer pass and screenshot the exact moment Jackson was able to get that ball under control. That's how you would know how ridiculous that Palmer pass was. Take a look at Jackson position in both screenshots. Palmer pass took Jackson to Armageddon.
If you play football before it won’t take you seconds to know that Jackson doesn’t have sense and instinct as a striker. Nothing wrong with that pass because Jackson wasn’t ahead of Palmer so the later did the right thing to spread the ball it just take a left leg to score that type of pass. If as a striker, you need an excellent pass to score then striking is not for you. Jackson didn’t trust his gut and left leg was the problem.
This is someone that call himself a striker in professional football, I mean, what’s difficult in using his left leg to score this goal without even thinking of holding it. SMH
Without the ball Enzo is not mobile, his game will suit la liga more. I want to see midfield of Tchouameni, Santos, Caceido, Palmer and Lavia next season.
Btw, Palmer shouldn’t have thought of passing to Jackson and go for the goal.
Last season, Poch dropped Sanchez and we became stable to a certain level but Maresca insist on playing him this time, this alone is enough to shake already shaken defense.
Colwill is not all that to be guaranteed first 11 shirt, Tosin would’ve done better in this game; his passes and threat in set piece would’ve helped.
From here, I expect three winning streak. No excuse.
We have Andrey Santos it is better to let Enzo go end of season and get Tchouameni. Enzo is good but he will flourish more in la liga than in epl so for his own good he should move on.
Someone said Jackson didn’t start his football career from academy is the reason for his low iq in front of goal. Did Weah, Drogba, eto, a Pele, etc start their career from academy?
bisqit: Against Bournemouth, he held the ball in a tight space and scored. Sth jack cannot do
That’s how because it’s inside the box that it require two touch before shooting unlike outside the box that he will be expected to pass which is not really good at.
bisqit: nkunku is a sub ten that operates primarily in the 18 yard box
Sub 10 kor sub zero ni. Nkunku don’t even possess number ten quality and can only be effective in two set up which is 442 or 352 formation. He is a second striker that is why it is expected of him to shine as lone striker too and not number 10. For Nkunku to play you need solid number 6 and 8 with height behind him to make the team remain offensive and possessive because he is a liability without the ball. Even with the ball he is not a great ball holder in tight space. Jackson is playing ahead of him because of this reason.
City don sign like 2 players already. Possibly gonna sell Walker to AC Milan too. We are unable to sell a spoon or get a plate yet.....damn United is fuckẹd!
Seriously you guys are bleeped. Your players are unattractive except you sell or loan for cheap which will not be enough to balance book. Hoping you guys don’t go the way of Leeds. Selling part of the club to a British man is another f up, Americans are even more better if they refused Arab money. Just pray.
kingBolton: All these ones you are saying are stories. We all saw him during pre season and how well he played as a number 10, even the manager said it that it's just unfortunate that there is a better player at the number 10 role.
pre season? How about the season so far where has he played most so far. Nkunku is not any number 10, Felix is even more of number 10 than him. He played as supporting striker for his former club in 352 formation. He is not 10 like Palmer or Odegaard or Bruno.
kingBolton: LMAO, this is wrong about Nkunku. Nkunku has never been a number 9. The only reason he is on the bench is because we have a better player in the number 10 role and maresca only plays with one number 10.
He is not even a number 10, he is a supporting striker at best and should be able to play as Striker if not that he lack that tenacity and ground covering upfront.
