KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY, is an organised Higher
institution of learning, which comprises of students and
scholars from the two major Religions in Nigeria, "Christianity
and Islam.
During Yakowa's tenure as a Governor in Kaduna State, the
leadership was flexible enough to allocate lands to for the
construction of Mosque or Mosques, i believe so much that,
this was due to the urgent need of the Muslim students have
a balance between their worship hours and lecture time table.
Indeed Late. Sir. Patrick Yakowa was a man of wisdom and
Selflessness. After his demise we all thought the next project
was to Raise chapels or allocate lands for the construction of
chapels by the concerned bodies. But the more we wait the
more we have reasons to believe that, the present leadership
in Kaduna State is a Selfish and biased one. This includes the
PDP Ramalan Yero's Government.
Don't tell me it's the contractor's fault, why can't the
government probe the contractors, that structure on ground
can't accomodate a 100 students comfortably. Moreover it's
not officially stated that the structure is a chapel. That
statement is just a general opinion from students.
" How can we sing the LORD'S Song in a strange land". Kaduna
state university has no Chapel, we worship in classes and
Halls, we get relocated at the will of lecturers, we have no full
freedom of worship. We always hold fellowships with the
Mindset that, any lecturer might want to use the hall. After
fellowships or sunday services, we still pack our gadgets back
to the staff quaters for safety.
Before i conclude, i write bold to say "you can quote this post
anywhere. This is no propaganda but Truth.
"Dear concerned Authorities, our worship moments are too
sacred to be held in Multipurpose halls"

Justice Darius Khobo of Kaduna State High Court , on Monday , adjourned to August 5 , ruling in the application for permission to travel to India for medical attention filed by Ibrahim El -Zakzaky and his wife , Zinat. The Islamic cleric was absent in court . The Islamic Movement in Nigeria leader and his wife applied for medical bail , citing poor health while in detention . Counsel to the respondents , who is also the Kaduna State Director of Public Prosecution , Mr . Dari Bayero , briefed newsmen shortly after the court hearing in Kaduna. Bayero said the adjournment was sequel to the argument put forth by counsel to both parties on the application . SEE ALSO : 6 things to do when in traffic He said that his team had examined the eight medical reports by both Nigerian and foreign doctors that accompanied the IMN leader ’s application . According to him , they had argued that there are several medical facilities in the country that can handle the medical needs of the IMN leader and his wife. Justice Khobo had granted the request of the Kaduna State government to review and respond to El - Zakzaky ’s bail application . Meanwhile , counsel to the applicants, Femi Falana ( SAN ) , told newsmen after Monday ’s adjournment that his clients , El -Zakzaky and wife Zinat, were in dire need of medical attention . Falana said that his clients had not been given adequate medical care since their detention on December 14 , 2015 . He expressed concerns over the “continued deteriorating condition ” of his client ’ s health , who he said had already lost an eye and about to also lose the second one if nothing is done . According to him , pellets of bullets are still in his clients ’ bodies since 2015 and need to be removed . Falana explained that the IMN leader was not in court because his health was “very bad,” noting that even during the last appearance , he could not climb the staircase to the courtroom . “That is why we applied that he be excused from appearance in court and was granted . “The pellets had resulted to lead poison and need to be urgently removed by highly professional medical personnel ,” Falana said . He expressed the hope that the court would grant El -Zakzaky and his wife permission to travel for urgent medical care . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the IMN leader had sought to go to Medanta Hospital , New Delhi , India , for medical attention following his failing health condition. El -Zakzaky in the application said he and his wife would return to Nigeria as soon as they are discharged . NAN reports that the IMN leader is standing trial over allegations of culpable homicide, unlawful assembly and disruption of public peace , among other charges in another court headed by Justice Gideon Kurada. The case was adjourned indefinitely on April 25 to enable the judge serve on the panel of the National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal in Yobe. Before the indefinite adjournment , the court had , on January 22 , ordered the Kaduna State Government to avail the IMN leader and his wife Zinat access to medical care . ( NAN ) |

5.0? so this is achievable?? |
But why are we always in defensive line, can't we attack first? |
mentioning is just a disguise logic, they want people to be either suspecting bokoharam or herdsmen (bororo) and most importantly those bororo are not Muslims. But the truth must b said, buhari should b blamed, for allowing these wicked and heartless bandits to continue having a field day,. if he wants to prove that these terrorists are not his tribe, he should unleash terror on them and bring them to justice |
Born2Breed:Who is this fool ? How do you identify those who voted buhari and those against him![]() I'm sorry if you seem to be older than me,, pls read your comment again? Then if you don't see anything wrong in it, then you must be high. |

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) wish to
once again condemn in strong terms the indiscriminate
looting and killings of Nigerian businesses and citizens in
South Africa. The recent strangulation to death of the Deputy
Director General of the Chartered Institute of Insurance of
Nigeria Mrs Elizabeth Ndubuisi has again brought to the fore
the numerous yet unchecked killings against Nigerian citizens
in the once apartheid country.
It is totally unacceptable that citizens of South Africa have
chosen to deliberately attack, loot and kill Nigerians who are
either residing or visiting South Africa. As Africans, we had
expected that the South African xenophobic attack on any
African should have long been repudiated by the government
and people of South Africa.
However, it is now crystal clear that the South African
government is incapable of accommodating other Africans
especially Nigerians in their home country. It is obvious also,
that the people of South Africa sees Nigerians as competitors
not as brothers and sisters.
We can no longer accept excuses for what is incurably a
provocation against the sovereign will of Nigerians in a
country we defended and helped during the apartheid era that
tore South Africa apart.
Arising from an emergency executive meeting, the leadership
of NANS have resolved that thee only way to stop further
killings of Nigerians in South Africa is to picket all business
entities owned by South Africans in Nigeria. We call on all
Nigerians to consciously withdraw from further patronage of
the following South African businesses i.e, MTN, DSTV, GOtv,
Shoprite and SPAR pending when justice is seen to have be
done on the killing of Mrs Elizabeth Ndubuisi.
Alternative network providers, such as Glo, Airtel should be
used. While open markets can replace the Shoprite.
Again, we use this medium to ask all South African business
interests in Nigeria to relocate their businesses back to South
Africa.
Nigeria has been brotherly enough to accommodate the
thriving of South African businesses in our economy. No South
African citizen or their businesses is under any threat or attack
whatsoever in our nation.
Therefore, any threat, injury or death to any Nigerian on south
African soil is nothing but an affront on the sovereignty of our
nation. It is now time to put a permanent stop to these
provocations.
To this end, we announce our decision to embark on massive
picketing and protest against all South African businesses in
Nigeria.
All students structures in Nigeria are hereby directed to liase
with the National Secretariat of NANS for guidelines and
action plan on this MOTHER OF ALL STRUGGLES.
Injury to any Nigerian anywhere is an injury to all Nigerians
everywhere.
The South African madness must stop. Africa cannot be at war
against Africans.
AMANGLA AWETU!!!
Signed.

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has commended the Supreme Court over its judgment in favour of Governor Gboyega Oyetola - Tinubu said that the ruling is a testimony that the Nigerian judiciary is on course for all and sundry - However, the APC national leader, Tinubu, urged Oyetola to extend a hand of friendship to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has hailed the Supreme Court's ruling that affirmed the victory of Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state. Tinubu said that with this ruling, Nigerians can now prove that the judiciary is on the right course as is generally expected. In a statement made available to Legit.ng , the APC national leader said that despite intimidation, unnecessary accusations and rumour-mongering, the apex court lived to its billing by dispensing justice without fear or favour. READ ALSO: NAIJ.com upgrades to Legit.ng: a letter from our Editor-in-Chief Bayo Olupohunda Moreover, Tinubu advised Oyetola to extend friendship to the PDP in an effort to foster unity, especially in Osun state. According to him, with the electoral case now laid to rest, governance can now begin in full swing and the people of Osun can begin to reap the fruits of the government they voted to put in place. The statement said: “Today (Friday’s) Supreme Court judgment affirming the victory of Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state is a further testimony that our judiciary is firmly on course and works in synch with the people aspiration. The judgment has further vindicated the judiciary as unbiased, independent and impartial. “In spite of the intimidation, unnecessary accusations and rumour-mongering, the apex court lived to its billing by dispensing justice without fear or favour. The court did not rule based on any hearsay but acted on the basis of the merits and demerits of the case before it. The Supreme Court and the judiciary therefore deserve our commendation for it has further strengthened the democratic process. “On the issue of the Electoral Act, it is only the INEC, as the electoral body, that can apply the law appropriately with respect to elections. This, the commission did rightly. It discharged itself creditably on the Osun election. “The decision of the apex court lays to rest the tussle over Osun governorship and removes all encumbrances on the path of the governor. Now, governance can begin in full swing and the people of Osun can begin to reap the fruits of the government they voted to put in place. “I congratulate Governor Oyetola for his steadfastness and for remaining calm while the electoral case lasted. I commend the government and people of Osun in allowing the rule of law to run its entire course. I urge them to continue to assist the security agencies in maintaining and sustaining the peace. Also, PDP and its candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, have exercised and exhausted their rights as expected of them. I praise them for their doggedness. “It is now time to rally round and join hands with the government to move Osun to the Next Level”. |

While congratulating Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme, Adeleke affirmed that his ambition to be governor of Osun was never a do-or-die affair. In a statement issued after the court ruling, Senator Adeleke said the Supreme Court remains the highest in the land and as a law abiding citizen, he would abide and respect the ruling of the apex legal unit no matter his misgivings. We gallantly fought a good fight in pursuance of a democratic cause. The ideals we fought for lives on. “Our ambition was never a do or die affair. We aspire to serve and deliver democratic dividends to the people of Osun state. “Our ambition was altruistic.
