that's why I wrote Kroos last, well I expect Odegaard to give them a run and at least bench Modric and bring freshness to that midfield and creativity. Kroos is the best in what he does and I feel he is still important but I would like to see how a midfield three of Casemiro, Valverde and Odegaard would do. I bet it will be fast and energetic.

it would be tough, cos there's no one to control and link the defence to attack with passes (tho, ceballos is the best bet for that)..
Casemiro can't have a pass accuracy of 90% and above, likewise Valverde. And, Odegaard likes playing high up the pitch

ok maybe not Isco because of his game but because he could fund the purchase of a younger better midfielder and also free up space for him. It's either Isco or Modric or Kroos. Keep the same set of players for too long, they become too comfortable and non competitive

Kroos can't be pushed out, at least not now
Modric is 35, his role would be limited from next season

Madrid was supposed to have bought him in January and I also once stated I prefer Van beek to Havertz, when I read Madrid was bidding €80m for Havertz.

But for Chelsea that bought Ziyech Ajax's best player, I doubt Chelsea would then go for VDB and again there's Mount besides Havertz can also play 9 (well he seems to also be able to play 6,8,10,7,9,11).

I still want Van beek in Madrid but I doubt that would happen if Rodriguez and Isco don't leave.
