Any pregnant women crossed Canadian Poe this year? Kindly describe your experience with the immigration officers. Hermosa, pls help with yours - were you visibly heavy and did you have any trouble at the Poe?yes i was visibly heavy but i think the guy didn't bother. he only asked me what i was here for and i said 'Visiting family", he asked me how long i was going to be here for "two weeks." (cos my return date was in two weeks= long story) and also how many luggages i had "two". i didn't have any trouble at the POE. listen people be very careful with your answers. don't state your true intentions unless they specifically ask you. and yes i know a lot of people are going to counter what i'm saying e.g hotstepper but I've been travelling in and out of Nigeria since i was a baby and immigration rules are getting stricter. deal with them as you would deal with our Nigerian immigration officers; Reply. With. Wisdom. good luck to all the mamas in the house. |

@moderator please how do we delete our old topics. Or can you help to delete. Thanks |
@ruthmadubuike im sure you and hubby can both apply from Malaysia. But you can't apply for your mom she has to go herself to application centre here in nigeria (abuja or lagos) and apply herself so that they can get her biometrics. Then to apply you should check out what they require on their website (just google it). |

@Seun I'm tired of searching and searching on the Health forum for topics concerning pregnancy plus all the other different topics. Its time consuming. If pregnant women had their own forum they'd be able to post topics/discussions concerning what they're going through. There'd be topics for those trying to conceive, new mothers, first/second and third trimesters woes etc. All one would have to do is just browse through the topics, pick a group and join. So, pretty please? |
Dear Seun, Nairaland Moderators, Could you guys please create a board just for Pregnant women and mothers. I dont think they should use the Health board. Thank you! And God bless! |
yes. |
Hopefully this scheme will come to abuja…. |
i think there are a bunch of organizations that will take graduates who havent served. but no government organization will take though. |
1000 mah and 12000 mah Powerbanks for sale. This product is essential for those who are always on the move. It charges Tablets, Phones, Cameras, mp3, pap and other devices. |
Just thought I should reply my own question. Corp members are allowed to serve in all three states, Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt. I'm currently serving in Abuja after redeploying from Delta State. So if anyone ever tells you he can't get you to serve in Abuja or the other above named states, just know he's lying! |
Camp was fun but ive relocated to Abuja. But I wish everybody luck happiness success and Gods Grace in their ppa. God bless! And happy work experience! |
If you're not in platoon 8 you are WRONG! ![]() |
O.P good question. Why don't we go natural? African hair texture is very different from ethnicities. We have type 4 hair whicghis kinky, or very tightly curled, with a clearly visible curl pattern. • The hair is very wiry, very tightly coiled and very, very fragile • Type 4 hair can range from fine/thin meaning its small in size, to thick/coarse meaning its fat, with lots and lots of strands densely packed together • Type 4 hair has fewer cuticle layers than any other hair type, which means that it has less natural protection from the damage you inflict by combing, brushing, curling, blow-drying and straightening it. A lot of African women relax their hair because of society, ignorance and peer pressure. They believe a woman with straigth silky hair is more beautiful than a woman with coily, kinky and coarse hair. And because they believe if their hair is relaxed then its easier to maintain. Wrong. Relaxed hair, if not daily maintained can damage your scalp and hair cuticle. It requires a lot of Deep Conditioning, and a lot of hydrolyzed protein products that cost a lot of money. Yes our natural hair is coarse, and hurts to comb but also with proper treatment and maintenance like weekly hot oil treatment, weekly deep conditioning and daily moisturizing and sealing with oil, our hair becomes really soft and manageable. Now with knowledge from other hair gurus on YouTube, Facebook and instagram, we can readjust our mind set to how to maintain our hair by searching on the internet. Relaxed or natural, I believe African hair can grow. I'm living proof. Been on a healthy hair journey since February. I havent relaxed my hair in 8 months and my hair is amazingly soft and so easy to manipulate. I might relax ending of this year or just transition to natural in a couple of months. Not sure yet of what to do but my options are limitless. |
