Not just women. When you are financially ok humans tend to have high self esteem.

As a man we need to realise one thing. That human beings not just women only respect you when you have what they do not have or when they have less of what you have. Be it material wealth or knowledge. Nobody loves or respects anyone for loving or respect sake but because of what that person stand to gain. While in the universities or colleges especially in this Africa we revere and respect so much our lecturers and teachers simply because we know they can make or mar our academic pursuits and the moment we leave the school we don't really care anymore. The same thing happens in marriages and relationships. Here in Africa ur wife respect you when she knows that you are financially better than or more intelligent than her when she is richer than you only few of them still respect. This change in attitude or behaviour doesn't limited to women it happens in men too. But our culture and religions have made us believe that men is the head of the house and has the final say in any situation. Take for instance, a driver will no longer accord his boss the respect anymore if by chance he find himself in the position as his boss. This is human nature. Jjc skills said Funke Akindele asked him to leave her house, this means that the woman is financially buoyant than him because if not, he wouldn't be staying in the house built or rented by the woman.

He is not being truthful. He knows how politics is played in Nigeria unless he doesn't read newspapers or listen to news on radio and television. If he is humane about the feelings of the poor he wouldn't have joined politics and remain a philanthropist by using little part of his resources to uplift few from poverty. There are philanthropists who did not join politics and use their money to help the poor. He was just ranting because he was heartbroken after losing some money in the course of electioneering and not because he was sympathetic to the feelings of the people. Otherwise he will stay in politics and wait for the right time and party to win and do what any governor has not done in Nigeria. A politician who has the feelings of the people at heart will not complain of losing money after losing rather he will keep it up until he wins and help the people he claimed to love. When you claim to love someone you should be able to do anything I repeat anything to make such a person comfortable or prevent the person from being harmed.

I'm sure you and ur brother are neither Yoruba nor Igbo. I know one or two tribes in the South whose women work and the men don't. Though not all of them but most of their men don't work.
