Josephus wrote about him cause he was a native to Jesus galilee and since he was the earliest popular Jewish historian, its fair to know why he wrote about their Kinsman even though the accounts he gave were critical and negative as he were never a believer of him ( In fact, Josephus didnt write about the ascension into heaven as he doubted that part himself being a person from the line of the pharisee who hasnt seen such nor believe such before)

As for Tacitus, he was only able to write about Jesus cause as a Roman historian, he wrote extensively on Pontius Pilate and those he ever convicted and since Jesus was among those Pilate ever executed, its fair to know why he wrote few pages about him just as he wrote about others who were executed under Pilate.


Now, The writer of luke, wrote about Jesus childhood being in the time of Augustus, his successor Tiberius and then Quinrinius who was a Gov, and he even specified what year of their reign Jesus did this and that ...forget about luke. how about those emperors and the specific year of reign as accounted for by Luke, are they all not real or not in accordance with the Roman history


Now, the question is why would u disregard Josephus account of jesus which was just few years away yet u believe that of Shakesphere who wrote on Julius Ceasar who lived 1000+ years before him, Not minding the fact that most historians actually wrote about characters who lived before them and everyone accepted their accounts. Tacitus wrote about Augustus who was even far older than Jesus yet they accepted his account of him, same Tacitus that lived after Jesus
