Pastor Tunde Bakare, said the current economic recession was an opportunity for the Church to bail out the country through God-inspired economic principles. Bakare, a Senior Pastor, Latter Rain Assembly, Lagos, stated this on Saturday in Abuja. He spoke on the theme: “ The Church and Economic Recession , “ at the 14th anniversary celebration of Foursquare Gospel Church. He said that the church had the ability to bail out nations, influence public policy through God-inspired economic principles and strategically position human resources to implement its principles. Bakare, however, said that the church was yet to rise to the height mandated to it by destiny to bail out nations and to lead them to God’s will. “ I am convinced that the recession currently being experienced in Nigeria is an opportunity for the Church. “Therefore, I declare to you that the Scripture is about to be fulfilled in your hearing as God is stirring up the church to take responsibility for the destiny of Nigeria. “ That is why we are gathered here today to talk about the church and economic recession. “ If the church is also reeling from the impact of the recession, we must admit to ourselves that this is against the Scriptural pattern. “ It is the best of times to take the tenets of the faith beyond the four walls of the church building to the marketplace and the policy roundtable, “ Bakare said. He said that the nation’s economic recession was largely self-inflicted which could have been avoided, saying “unfortunately for Nigeria, our biggest boom experience fell into the hands of an unprepared leadership.“ NAN

MTN Nigeria, Monday denied sacking some of its contract staff as reported in some national dailies recently. Some newspaper and online publications alleged that MTN Nigeria had laid off some of its contract staff, particularly those that work at the telecommunications call centres. The reports claimed that many of the contract staff were given their disengagement letters Wednesday. The reports also claimed that some of MTN workers in Apapa branch, had their salaries reduced from N120,000 to N40,000 a month and were asked to continue working at their Ibadan office, if they were still interested in the job.. However, in a reaction, MTN said the reports were untrue. Responding to the reports, MTN Executive, Amina Oyagbola, said; “The reports are incorrect. The second phase of a change-in-vendor process took place last week, offering interested workers the opportunity to join the new call centres owned and operated by the vendor; ISON BPO. MTN signed an outsourcing contract with ISON BPO Limited in 2015, following a competitive bid process. Indeed, MTN’s call centre operations were outsourced to independent third party agencies since 2008, as part of continued efforts to improve the efficiency and quality of customer service delivery in MTN. This is in line with global best practice for organisations in our industry.”. Also, ISON Group CEO, Pravin Kumar said: “We have been managing MTN’s call centres since last year when the first phase of the transition was carried out, with the second phase taking place at this time. “We were pleased to have emerged as the new partner to deliver cost-effective solutions, adopting state-of-the-art technology that supports world-class customer service. The drive for efficient customer service delivery without compromising on quality within prevailing economic realities comes with structural adjustments and we work to balance this with the need to ensure the sustainability of our operations. We have continued to engage with those who are interested in taking up the opportunity to work with ISON under agreed terms. At ISON, we remain committed to delivering outsourcing solutions to our clients that also provide thousands of job opportunities to members of the communities in which we operate”. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/10/didnt-sack-1500-workers-says-mtn/

According to reports, two boys pictured allegedly raped a one year old, killed her, and then dumped her body into a pit toilet. The gruesome incident reportedly happened Wednesday in Mundemba, Ndian Division, South West region, Cameroon. As the population struggles to come to terms with this horrific news, some wondered if the boys could even get an erection, or let alone be capable of damaging the late baby's Instruments in such a way, as the medical report indicates. There is another school of thought that someone could be using these children to finish a crime he/she started. The two boys has admitted to throwing the little girl in the toilet and killing her whilst she was in there. http://www.ayodelejaysblog.com/2016/09/two-boys-rape-1-year-old-drop-her-into.html?m=1
