How is it a red card? Am not a Man U fan though.

The stud was up and it landed on the shin, no near the ball at all.

mofedamijo:
I don't think thats a red card....

Ref was right, that's a straight red.

A friend of mine just sent this screenshot he got from palmpay. He had no intention of defaulting. Infact his plan was that once his salary is paid, he pays off his loan. Seems palmpay wasn't having any of it as they went ahead to threaten him.

Does palmpay message contacts of loan defaulters?

How can you call yourself a licensed fintech company yet you tow the path of loan sharks to defame loan defaulters.

No wonder banks are against these fintechs and digital banks. This is another reason to take them off the market.

Tell your friend to go pay his debt, Onigbese.
Some Nigerians are in grates, trembling in self pity when asking for loan but turn monster when they get the money. Like Bobo to Risky..

I suppose the book is about mental illness. Why cover the title of the book na?

Before we dwell on suicidal mission, answer the questions on ground first.
Did u bribe the EFCC?
Is it true u didn't serve in the prison but only were in a Ln apartment for your sentence?
Did u default on your debt and instead started blackmailing the creditor?

Huh

ceda99:
i actually paid for ihs, 1032.47 pounds. am i eligible for a refund?

No u are not. If only u had waited a week before u applied for visa, your IHS would have been zero.
For my child, I purposely waited till beginning of August before I applied, so I didn't pay IHS. Her visa is out already. My visa expires January, so I waited till expiry date was less than 6 months.

ceda99:
Good day all, my wife has been in the UK on a student visa since sept 2023, I've been unable join her because of some unfinished business. i finally applied on 22/7 /2024 & got a dependant visa which runs from 02/9/24 to 20/1/25 (approx. 5 months) which is the day her visa expires. I'll like to know if despite the visa duration, I'll be eligible for a brp

No i don't think u will get a BRP. My child dependant also got her visa yoo, no BRP mail. BRP has neen scrapped anyway.
I hope u didn't get to pay for IHS when u applied?

If he was greedy...

Or about the money. He would have gone to the Saudi club.

By the way I never knew Mikel could talk so much. I now see him as a talkertive.

I always used to see him as a shy and quiet lad while he played at Chelsea.

This is a new side of his that I am seeing.

Maybe he worked on himself though!

I don't know why all of una just dey criticise Mike when he talks.
Just to be clear, he's no more an active footballer and he now earns money from talk shows and podcasts. Simply put, Mikel now talks for a living and he's been doing well.

Woke up now and ruminating about my survival last month and I remembered this your kind gesture.
All I will say is that your today will continue to be better than yesterday.
Your ocean will never run dry.
Wherever you picked that money from will multiply in many folds.
Thank You greatly Sir.

Amin, u are welcome brother.

Where's the source?
Anyway if true, it means Verydarkman's protest truly yielded.

No kids
What is the best way to respond

I think the dependant has to apply before Sept 30 when the student visa expires, so just respond that he/she will make her own application before the current visa expires.
And be informed that her National insurance number will be flagged wherever she's working when her visa expires, so she might lose her job. Best bet is for u to look for the money and apply.

Jimafe31:
Good day everyone, how do i respond to this mail from Home office, we are still gathering funds for my wife to apply for hers

Is this sent to the main applicant who was a student? And do u guys have kids too?
I only know they send this kinda message to dependant partners if they exclude their kids from the application?

Visa Update
My child dependant visa is out.
I intentionally waited till my visa expiry is less than than 6 months, so I didn't pay the IHS.
Biometric on 14th August
Collection mail 2nd September.

I don't celebrate this kinda news because most state struggle to pay doctors.
I hope the state don't get to start what it can't finish. It's not about the building, it's about availability of necessary facilities and funds to pay the manpower.

Good morning all
Pls I’m asking this on behalf of someone who has plans to study the adult nursing program in the Uk. She recently graduated Bsc Nursing and would like to have both her internship certificate and NYSC certificate before taking this step.
Please is there any implication if she does the internship and NYSC the same year? The plan is to ghost the NYSC so that she doesn’t waste time doing that again.

It's not possible. U need your internship certificate to be posted for NYSC.

KingDeity:
Thanks for the response. Does the date I paid for tuition deposit have any connection with my POF? Will the visa officer want to check if the money was paid from the POF or it really doesnt matter?

U start your POF after payment of deposit as most schools request it to issue CAS. Your deposit is not part of POF. POF is the balance of your tuition and the maintenance cost in UK.
You can retain your POF till u get your CAS and use it to apply for visa.
Avoid having a lump sum deposit or transfer in your POF.

Addme:
Good morning Sir. Please I'm sorry for what happened, your message labelling me really hit me hard seriously. I have sent you another day or can I send some proofs and live video from my workplace to you on WhatsApp via the number here.
Just want to clear my name.
Have a great day ahead

No problem, I've heard u, it pains when one tries to help others and ends gifting scammers and these people are so many on this forum.
Your explanation is noted, no need sending me DMs again.
A 5k token sent.

U quoted me this afternoon begging for money, u even sent a DM. I snubbed only to later see u already deleted the message to cover your tracks.
I had to come check this very mention and also realised that u also already deleted the beautiful lie u constructed to get a 10k from me few weeks back.
So na scammer u be and I out of pity sent u my hard earned money? U just cover your tracks by deleting your begging posts afterwards.
Na your type full this forum and because of u, I doubt I'll ever lend a hand to a soul on nairaland again, u all are scammers.

Ebony beauty with no make-up, unlike the Pancakes we see all around.

U see the Nigerian basta*ds won't have problem with this but will be quick to criticise their own govt if similar things happen on Nigerian soil.
Unfortunate lots

Glossylips:
Thank you bro,
Good morning, so I created a cover letter detailing my journey from graduation through my initial appointment, all promotions, and transfers, including dates and grade levels. I clarified that my reference is from my current local government.

I hope this approach is acceptable and effective.

You mentioned I should write about my mission, Is it why I want to school now or why I choose my course?

Thank you

U've done well.
By mission, I mean just applying for a student visa in order to further your studies, no long story. Then explain things as u did above.

Glossylips:
Good morning, sorry for asking so many questions.
Please, can the introduction statement be included in the reference letter or it must be on a separate letterhead paper on its own. Thank you

It should be a separate letter introducing yourself and your mission and giving explanation on whatever might not be straightforward in your application.

Glossylips:
Thank you for your response. I have another question
I work with a local government in Bauchi, and my appointment and promotion letters feature the Bauchi State Local Government Commission letterhead. However, I need to use a reference from the local government I work with, which is Bogoro Local Government, and it has a different letterhead. Will this be an issue? Thank you.

I don't there's an issue with this, after all, Bogoro LG is under the commission. If u think this might confusing to the case worker, explain this in an introduction letter.

Glossylips:
Thank you for your response.

I need your advice on a matter. I work with local government, and my appointment letter lists a lower annual salary. Is it advisable to submit this appointment letter? My promotion letters from 2009 to the present do not mention any salary. I’m considering submitting only the promotion letters to show the study gap as I’m concerned that the appointment letter with the lower salary might be a red flag.

Thank you.

Low salary doesn't matter. My wife used her Npower 30k monthly stipend for her application, she's now in the UK.
