In addition, ensure you don't leave dates out, if you're unemployed say between April to May 2017, you'll have to state it. For someone who left school say 2015 June and went for NYSC in August same year, you'll have to fill that space of time with probably unemployed and then you can state it that you were awaiting NYSC or so.

This didn't work either . Thank you.

Make sure you don't have same dates for your education and work. For example if you were schooling from June 2000-June 2004 and you were also working that period, it wont let you put the same date for both. You have to use that date for only education or only work experience, not both

hi, thanks for your response . I did exactly as you said and still didn't work

The rise in price since sept 2018 has only been a correction the impulse is downwards. I said the downtrend should get prices like zenith bank at N11.70, Gtb at N17 and Access at N3.6 below is the chart of my former analysis check them yourself if it's accurate or not.

When I was calling for low Price back then Sept 2018 some boys/girls came for my head the predictions are validating from over a year ago , even your gurus are weren't able to boldly call prices ahead of time.

below are some of the threads

Gtb Price ----> https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/3926#71205449
General Market FA ----> https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/3925#71202435
Cadbury Held N7 -----> https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/3927#71253602
Got abused after giving a clear review---> https://www.nairaland.com/1131485/nigerian-stock-exchange-market-pick/4374#76250732

Now that the market Has capitulating a bit significantly to the bottom, it might be the right time to start averaging into some of the front running stocks like FCMB and Cadbury who have held their prices while others are correcting significantly

GTB will be a good buy between N23 - N24 for correction upwards which a relieve bounce else that will be the bottom
Zenith be prime to bounce from N15 - N16 for a relieve bounce if it continues up then you bought the bottom

Access bank is a bit dicey because it already bounced and the issue merger but the price technically looks primed to decline to N4

Right now is the time to start averaging in when no one wants to buy and volume is ridiculously low.

The long and short term Effect of Devaluation.

There are other factors that determine if Nigeria can attract long term portfolios such as political stability or exchange rate free float.

every investor wants profits and security.

Devaluation might have attracted short term interest, but it is not the only reason why there was capital flight after a short term if you check the history this always happens before any major political event such as presidential elections especially in politically unstable countries, because new electorates usually mean new policies and as the politicians are also responsible for some FDI's security in the country it is imperative to state that they won't be secured if their political connection in the country didn't win.

That is another topic for another day, not digressing so much the capital flight was majorly due to political risk and security. once everything is stable in the country the FDI/FPI investors who deem it fit will return, maybe not as much.

Devaluation is not the best answer of course, but Nigeria is import-dependent country money flows out regardless, that is why naira gets weaker, devaluation won't affect the poor but the affluent who takes every opportunity to bring in products from abroad which is cheaper than locally produced products take.

why are products from China cheaper than those locally made in Nigeria?

The problem is not devaluation because our money will always be cheaper if we are not exporting more value than we import, which we aren't. We rather export raw materials which we should be processing into exportable products, why because the cost of running a factory with stable electricity, the viable transportation system isn't there, that's the reason why our goods locally made the cost more than those imported from China.

The short-term effect correlates with how stable the political scene is, and also investors prefer market forces to determine the price, not a central body which will always appease its interest. Nigeria isn't a free market.

The government should fix infrastructure, electricity, and transportation should be a priority, fix the civil services system, focus on ease of doing business if the world is growing faster than we that is why we devalue not because our value reduces in essence but because our growth is not to par as before.

What is responsible for more than our GDP, not manufacturing, not tourism, not Nollywood, not the music industry, not the tech, but the oil that isn't even filtered here we have to bring in the finished products.

For me devaluation is manipulation, it doesn't portray the true value of the currency, if we set the market forces to determine the price we will see how the naira is truly valued, but then again we can devalue and wait out the economy to be on par with its valuation but that is total manipulation.

The problem of our currency is not devaluation or revaluation, it is that Nigeria has no value asides from crude oil sales and once the price of oil falls our economy is affected, other oil-producing states have succeeded in decoupling their economy from oil, Saudi Arabia makes more from tourism than oil.

The brick and mortar investments t that are closing shop every day in the country what do you think they will go back to say in their respective countries, its more than devaluation.

courage89:

They made similar arguments 3-4 years ago, Nigeria needs to devalue its currency to attract FDI. We need to devalue to make export cheaper. Loads of bull...What happened to the FDI after we devalue our currency? What kind of FDI did we attract, portfolio or brick and mortar investments? What happened to the FDI after these investors made their returns? Has our cheaper currency helped us to export more industrial goods?

Let's not kid ourselves, devaluation of naira at this point is not in the best interest of our economy. It will create high inflation, high-interest rate, loss of manufacturing abilities, loss of jobs and other problems.

To the proponents of currency devaluation, what's the objective this time? To attract short term portfolio, long term portfolio, brick & mortar investments? Devalued naira will only attract short term portfolio investment, which is detrimental to our economy. We're all living witness to the economic effect, cycle, and runaround based on what happened to our stock market in the past 4 years.

Our objective should be how to attract long term portfolio, brick and mortar investments. The best way to do this right now is to address factors that lower the cost of doing business in Nigeria. Power, transportation, ease of doing business policies, security, currency stability, and others. Our conversation should revolve around these subjects and not currency devaluation. By fixing these problems, we fix our economic problems and others at the same time.

Currently writing my MBA thesis on devaluation and how it affects the economy and will like to share my thoughts on the argument why Devaluation if adequately managed is actually good for the economy in the long run.

To understand the underlying situation of Nigeria, keeping it simple and first, you must follow the genesis of the problem as below

1. Debt - Nigeria currently isn't servicing its debts, it means we are not generating as much as we spend to pay for monies that we borrow to make these expenses. We burn more cash than we can settle our debts, we are not yielding profits, not making use of our revenue channels healthily

2. The balance of Payment - We Import more than we export, meaning we transfer more money abroad than we receive into the country, so the BOP is negatively skewed against our economy

3. Exchange rate - Our rates are currently tightly controlled by the CBN. Kept at a steady rate of $360 by supporting the demand with Naira injection and reducing demand for forex by banning some imports from reducing demand and at the same time protect local industries.

4. GDP - The total sum value produced is dependent on the price of oil, which has been steadily below $100

Let's leave it at this even though we might want to go deeper with infrastructure problems, trust /corruption and the rest.

Because the exchange rate is tightly monitored and controlled there are always calls to devalue the currency when the economy is not doing well to promote capital influx inflow, increase export demands, prop up FDI, FPI, and SPVs. Just like the naira doesn't portray it's a real value at the moment so there is capital flight because you wouldn't want to buy something so expensive today only to be sold at a meager price tomorrow. If the exchange was free floating the market forces will determine the rate. Devaluation /currency manipulation works for example in a country like China, where export is high, devaluing the currency will make the value of the exporting goods more attractive and thereby increasing sales and having a positively skewed BOP.
Yes, devaluation for a country like Nigeria with the monocultural economy, the masses will suffer in that the cost of petroleum might increase, which in itself causes inflation as the price of transportation, generating electricity, etc. will increase, this can cripple the economy if not properly managed.
My advice is to devalue the currency, we are financially redundant if we don't, not devaluing is just moving the financial collapse date. Asides from borrowing we need foreign individuals and institution to pump in their forex into our economy. These set of people study the market before getting in, they will make sure the prospect of the economy is at least guaranteed stability for say 5 years, because their investments could have a minimum payback period of 3 -5 years also people want to set up shop where they can stay for many years.

So many issues about devaluation. Nigeria has to be productive before it can be interesting, yet we need the influx of forex into our system. It is a problem of the chick and the egg which comes first. For me, it is devaluation or better still free float, then cleaning up shop and making Nigeria's ease of doing business excellent. Devaluing will encourage exports and promote locally produced goods with the right infrastructures such as electricity, motorable roads or other transport systems. The govt needs to fix a goal or realistic target to fix infrastructures and also clean up its act or fixating figures, the world is watching. Nigeria has resources, we can maintain a standard but the complexity of being a renowned economy we must attract more forex and be more valuable asides our natural resources.

keeping it simple.

I totally agree with you about fixated/stipulated figures in the NSE, lots of companies get away with it and as you rightly pointed out almost every relevant company listed on it have cooked up numbers with insider trading that goes on daily.

but I have some reservations as enumerated below

1. Bull and bear is not just for traders, it is inherent in economy stratosphere as the principles of economics also applies to the market, using demand and supply in bull market we have more demand and greed driving the market up to higher prices, while in the bear market we have supply driving the market to lower prices. The same principle is applied to any value of the exchange medium.

2. FA and TA work not because the fixated figures are ignored but human psychology remains the same, the market is moved by emotions, greed and fear, euphoria and despair. Every market has a cycle doesn't matter if figures are touched or not, and TA and FA are combinations of past experience used to explain future events.

3. In the market there are three classes of traders, we have the Institutional traders, the professional traders, and the retail traders, the institutional traders play with major funds and usually in the know of underlying important news before the retail and professional traders, they are in the game because of this advantage and the understand the power of numbers . That is why they manipulate the emotions of retail traders because they are easier to manipulate and give market momentum. Most retail traders are individuals who trade with lesser money, but due to the numbers of retail traders to institutional traders and professional traders, the market manipulates the retail traders. That is why news like a dividend happening is quickly spreading after the effect has taken a toll on retail traders who due to greed take positions and wait for the price to rise only to be told the event won't happen. it's manipulation and it happens in all market.

4. A good TA or FA is not just drawing lines and or adding figures, sometimes intuition is the best TA and FA, just simply looking at the market without emotions. Now the market is trending downwards, right? The general economy is not looking so good either, FDI/FPI is ridiculously down, the rate of unemployment high, Income low, etc, keep it very simple. so when you see a price rise from nowhere just be a little patient before going in , FOMO in a bear market is the easiest way to lose your capital.

In summary
TA and FA work even with all the manipulation because prices are determined with emotions and retail traders are the emotional drivers of the market.

I always laugh whenever I read about people that claims to use the instrument of trades in Nigeria. The Nigeria companies are wiser than the government and investors. It is indeed a very tough environment to operates. The companies that are surviving the environment have grown thick skins. It is difficult for a company to tell you how much money was spent on bribery to clear imported goods and raw materials from the nation's ports.
Difficult to tell us how much the management misappropriated and lost to corruption and embezzlement
Difficult for a company to tell you how much was spent on bribery to get forex/form M processing.
It is difficult for a company to tell you how much they spent in the black market to get power supply and how much they spent on discos to get power supply.
The implications of this is that it is extremely difficult to get the true cash flows and expenditures, the cooked up figures we are seeing is just for the book, done to fulfill regulatory requirements.
In the real world of investment, Which is independent of bull and bear, your investment should grow, therefore we can say bull and bear are for traders. However, NSE has render both TA and FA impotent. Fundamentally unhealthy companies are returning profits and price appreciations while the best one in TA and FA are daily turning to Red at arithmetic progression.
A news was flying round recently that Forte is going to disposed some assets, some investors thought the money would be declared as a special dividends, the company quickly come out that the money would be used to settle debts..... Case closed... Nothing for the investors.....
Oando sold one of its subsidiaries to helios.. Millions of $. The investors thought something will get to them, The big scammer and his group quickly defused the expectation he announced, the money was for debt servicing and payment. He went further, in few years time, oando would start paying dividends... Few weeks later, he said that the company need to borrow more money to finance its growth. What an oxymoron? Only in Nigeria can someone get away with this indescribable financial scam. Not a new thing, akingbola got away, Ayeni got away, dozie 's son got away, the ibrus got away, utomi got away.bisi Onasanya also got away. Here we are calculating FA and TA with cooked up figures.
The only valid input in analysis of Nigerian companies is outstanding company shares.
The rest are imaginary.
One should not quick to forget the atrocities of KPMG... They are no 1 in the world when it comes to hiding corporate corruption. They did it in South Africa the day this company bubble will burst in Nigeria, it will collapse many giants... Nevertheless, we are used to it.

How on earth is FA going to guarantee you a return?
Take a case of Zenith bank that made about N8. 00 per unit of investor share, the company gave out 2.80 as dividends, some investors demanded for more, the company quickly told them that the investors are greedy and they have paid the best dividend in the banking industry for 2018 the year many of them described as the most turbulent in the history of Nigeria economy.
The question now, who has FA and TA help in this perennial heamorrhaging economy?

Bearish TA or FA always comes with negative rebuttals due to some who are heavily invested into the market, but the truth remains and fractals consistent with previous actions. My post was only to warn anyone that the signs are very bad and should probably stay clear till accumulation starts, all we have now is distribution and decline.

PS- The last time I did a review on NSEMPA there was hardly any rebuttal because I was a little hopeful about the market .

The Price Action is not looking so good, was met with a strong resistance at 38.88 this has been a major support turn resistance , if price conveniently closes above 40 then we might have a bull run , but from the looks of this price action it seems it's merely a bearish correction and price distribution is taking place, meaning that price will further decline as there are no signs of bulls return and this is a bearish price correction.

Price analysis Remains the same important support at N31.88 which should hold at least until after correction. price now at N36.5 facing resistance at N37.A potential bull flag forming above daily 45 & 23 weighted moving averages to force a price surge upwards breaking the falling channel upwards but little data to confirm this now, But so far the price action looks promising upwards, showing some strong bullish signs with volume. Important 45WMA support at N36 shouldn't break.

This moment is when you just study the price action if you entered early btw 32 and 35, there are so many resistance ahead,
first target is N40 but the price could rise as much as N46.

also if the N36 support breaks expect an attempted restest of N31.88.

Zenith Bank RSI indicates its over sold , and just like GTB should be ripe for a wave 2 correction, a bounce at around N20 is expected and a correction to N25 will just be right before continuation of the downtrend or a total reversal. if the downtrend continues this are the prices you should be looking at N15, N12, N9.

Fcmb is in a falling wedge , and in a perfect opportunity for buyers to buy between N1 4.18% .50 and N1 4.18% .53 has acted as a perfect support, reaching the apex of the wedge we will see a break upwards, as there are many closer supports and price is already at the apex of the wedge and ready to go upwards

Cadbury Seems to be in a state of supply exhaustion, the support at N7 should hold meaning that the stock is being accumulated at that price, still watching it closely , i will rather wait to buy within N7-N7.5

watch out for maybe a double bottom formation at N7 if that doesn't hold maybe a correction at N5 , price support doesn't look so good bears are very much in charge of this one.

aRE there any technical traders here --- we are obviously in a bear market this happens mostly every preceding election year, one reason is because politicians have to withdraw large amounts to buy tickets and sponsor their political activities , these leaves the market in shambles , i believe as the presidential election draws close there will be more bleeding , the global outlook is not looking bright either as the DOW is in ATH (all time high) is currently in distribution the current trump tax bill will hit negative returns soon and the dollar will plummet to save havens like gold, if the dollar plummets it will also affect the naira, at the current borrowing rate we might not have enough to foot bills, so it is logical to be on the watch for market . You will lose nothing shorting the market now an up move is a correction till market bottom.

Various crypto exchanges may have different features and functions. Some of them are made for traders, while others are made for prompt crypto-fiat exchange. Crypto exchanges — that are designed for regular traders — allow you to buy crypto and sell them with lower commission fees than on crypto-to-fiat exchanges. Also, trading platforms don’t provide these services without a bite a from themselves; some charge fees for withdrawing, depositing or trading activities on the account.

Basically, crypto exchanges work similarly to regular exchanges. The difference is that, on other exchange platforms a, traders buy and sell assets — shares or derivatives — to profit from their changing rates, while on crypto exchanges, traders use cryptocurrency pairs to profit from the highly volatile currency rates.

Crypto Exchange for Nigerian Users.
When it comes to buying and selling bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies in Nigeria, the world trusted must come to play. It is important you know how to buy cryptocurrency in Nigeria and where to buy it.

“Regular” Cryptocurrency Exchanges: These are the exchanges that are like the regular stock exchanges where buyers and sellers trade based on the current market price of cryptocurrencies (with the exchange playing the middle-man). These type of trading platforms generally charge a fee for each transaction.

Some of these types of exchanges deal only in cryptocurrency, others allow users to trade fiat currencies like the U.S. dollar for cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Huobi is an example of this type of exchange.

For crypto exchanges, there are fiat to bitcoin exchanges, alt-coin exchange/trading, peer-to-peer exchanges (exchanges without a middle man), then there are CFD brokers for crypto trading.
2. Cryptocurrency Brokers: These are website-based exchanges that are like the currency exchange at an airport. They allow customers to buy and sell cryptocurrencies at a price set by the broker (generally at the market price plus a small premium). NGexchanger and Luno are examples of this type of exchange.

3. Direct Trading Platforms: These platforms offer direct peer-to-peer. Currently, there is two major platform on the market which enables peer-to-peer bitcoin trading. At P2P bitcoin exchanges, you can buy and sell bitcoins directly from private individuals. You can keep a low profile and do not share any personal information during the purchase process.

LocalBitcoins — LocalBitcoins respects the anonymous nature of Bitcoin, so the ID verification process is not mandatory. To sign up, you need to provide an email address. While the exchange doesn’t require any personal information, some sellers or buyers may request identification in order to proceed with the trade.

Paxful — Setting up an account on the site is easy and can be done in two ways: automatically, after providing an e-mail not yet registered in their database during the checkout in a buying process or, by filling directly the registration form available on their website.

Besides clicking the confirmation link sent to the registered email, users are also asked to set two security questions. Users can alternatively verify their mobile phone number and activate SMS notifications. While they can opt for being notified of a broad range of activity related to their account via email, only alerts about critical movements are sent via SMS.

Conclusion
Finally, in almost every case a person will want to use an exchange or broker. One will generally only want to use a direct trading platform i.e. over the counter (OTC) when their options are limited.

There is no such thing as a ‘stable’ or ‘fair’ price for Bitcoin or any other coin — it’s always determined by the market at each moment. It is important to note that exchanges are not connected. Prices vary depending on the buy and sell activity on each one of these exchanges.

Every exchange calculates the price of Bitcoin based on its own volume of trades, as well as supply and demand of its users. This means that the bigger the exchange, the more market-relevant price you get.

Many factors are vital when it comes to selecting a good exchange. In short, here’s what to look for:

Good location
Supported coins
High Liquidity
Low Fees
Numerous trading options
Mobile support
Good user experience
Excellent security
Depending on the needs, country, trading volume, security and many other factors the user can choose an exchange that’ll suit his requirements.

Recommendation.
These exchange platforms have a plethora of pros and cons, if you are new to trading and you want an easy start, trade with Luno/Huobi and take it from there. Those aren’t the only choices, but they are beginner friendly. With that in mind, all exchanges and products mentioned above are fine choices for what they are.
You need to check if your countries are serviced by your preferred bitcoin exchanges. In many cases, Nigerian users are restricted due to local regulations. You can consider other options, be sure to check their websites and online reviews.

You are protected under the "The Law Of Agency" in respect to the caretaker action , the caretaker acted under the law of agency as the rightful authority to let or sublet the property. Irrespective of the landlord directive , the rightful authority was the caretaker, he/she acted as the agent of the house.

There were verbal agreements in court that is acceptable as valid to validate a contract.
There were receipts of payment.

You are a valid tenant.

You are protected under the law.

The caretaker acted as the landlord , since the landlord passed the authority to the caretaker, therefore the law will recognize every action taken by the caretaker as the automatic decision of the landlord.

Now you have every right to stay till your rent expires and have 6 months quit notice privilege irrespective of the misrepresentation of date the caretaker and landlord indicated. The court starts counting when the notice was pasted.

Get a good lawyer.

Most nairalanders don't even know their rights so they are the least to advise you, get a reputable lawyer, the court will favor you most in this case.
