IslamThe Right Of One Muslim Over Another by hgnbello(op): 1:57pm On Apr 24, 2023
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,

Today, I would like to speak to you about a very important topic in Islam: the right of one Muslim over another. As we know, Islam is a religion that emphasizes brotherhood, love, and compassion. Therefore, it is essential for us as Muslims to understand and practice the rights that we have over one another.

In the Quran, Allah (SWT) says: "The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy." (49:10). This verse clearly shows us that all believers are brothers and sisters in Islam, and as such, we have certain rights over one another.

One of the most important rights that we have over each other is to treat each other with kindness and respect. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He should neither wrong him nor hand him over to his wrongdoer. Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs." (Sahih Bukhari 2442).

Therefore, it is important for us to understand that we are all equal in the eyes of Allah (SWT), and we should not discriminate against anyone based on their race, nationality, or social status. The only thing that distinguishes us from one another is our level of piety and devotion to Allah (SWT).

Furthermore, we have the right to advise and correct one another in a gentle and respectful manner. Allah (SWT) says: "The believers, men and women, are helpers of one another; they enjoin good and forbid evil..." (9:71). This means that we should not hesitate to advise our fellow Muslims when we see them doing something wrong or harmful to themselves or others.

At the same time, we should also be willing to accept advice and correction from others. We should not be too proud or arrogant to admit our mistakes and seek guidance from those who are more knowledgeable and experienced than us.

In conclusion, the right of one Muslim over another is a fundamental aspect of Islam. As Muslims, we should strive to treat each other with kindness, respect, and compassion, and we should always be willing to help and support one another. By doing so, we can build strong and cohesive communities that are based on the principles of brotherhood and unity, and we can earn the pleasure of Allah (SWT) in this life and in the hereafter.

Jazakum Allah khairan.

IslamPractical Steps To Be A Good Muslim Even After Ramadan by hgnbello(op): 10:36am On Apr 22, 2023
Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim,

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and may His peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and all those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, as we bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan, we should not forget that the purpose of fasting and engaging in other acts of worship during this month is to increase our piety, strengthen our faith, and develop a closer relationship with Allah. We should strive to maintain the same level of devotion and spirituality even after Ramadan has ended. In today's sermon, I would like to remind us of some practical steps we can take to be good Muslims even after Ramadan.

Firstly, we should continue to perform our daily prayers on time, as this is the foundation of our faith. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The prayer is the pillar of the religion, and whoever leaves it, he has destroyed his religion" (Sunan Ibn Majah). Let us not allow the busyness of life to distract us from fulfilling this important obligation.

Secondly, we should strive to read the Quran regularly and reflect upon its meanings. The Quran is a source of guidance and light, and it is through its teachings that we can understand how to live our lives in accordance with Allah's will. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best of you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it" (Sahih al-Bukhari). Let us make a habit of reading the Quran daily, even if it's just a few verses.

Thirdly, we should continue to give charity to those in need. The act of giving helps us to develop a sense of empathy and compassion for others, and it also purifies our wealth. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Charity does not decrease wealth" (Sahih Muslim). Let us look for opportunities to give, whether it's to a local charity or to someone in need.

Fourthly, we should strive to maintain good character and manners. Our behavior towards others should be guided by the principles of honesty, kindness, and respect. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character" (Sunan al-Tirmidhi). Let us be mindful of our words and actions, and strive to be a positive influence on those around us.

Finally, we should seek knowledge and continue to learn about our faith. The more we know about Islam, the better we can understand and implement its teachings in our lives. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim" (Sunan Ibn Majah). Let us make an effort to attend Islamic lectures, read books about Islam, and ask questions to deepen our understanding of our religion.

In conclusion, dear brothers and sisters, let us not let the end of Ramadan be the end of our devotion and spirituality. Rather, let us strive to maintain the same level of faith and commitment throughout the year, by performing our prayers, reading the Quran, giving charity, maintaining good character, and seeking knowledge. May Allah guide us all and bless us with success in this life and the hereafter.

Allahuma Ameen.

IslamEtiquette Of Eid by hgnbello(op): 8:08am On Apr 21, 2023
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim,

Assalamu Alaikum

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon His Prophet, his family, companions and those who follow his path until the Day of Judgment.

Eid Al-Fitr is a joyous occasion for Muslims all over the world, as it marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. It is a day of celebration, and a time for family and friends to come together and share in the happiness and blessings of this special day.

But, as with all celebrations, there are certain etiquettes that we as Muslims must adhere to. These etiquettes are not only important for our personal conduct, but they also reflect the true spirit of Islam.

Firstly, it is important to remember that Eid is a day of thanksgiving to Allah for His blessings and mercy. As such, we should start the day by offering the Eid prayer and giving thanks to Allah for all that He has bestowed upon us.

Secondly, it is important to dress appropriately for the occasion. While we should always strive to dress modestly as Muslims, on Eid we should also dress in our best clothes as a sign of respect for the occasion.

Thirdly, we should exchange greetings of "Eid Mubarak" with one another, and embrace each other as a sign of our unity and brotherhood in Islam. We should also visit our relatives, friends, and neighbors, and share food and gifts with them as a sign of our love and generosity.

Fourthly, it is important to refrain from any kind of sinful behavior on this special day. This includes gossiping, backbiting, and engaging in any kind of behavior that is contrary to the teachings of Islam.

Finally, we should make an effort to be kind and charitable to those who are less fortunate than us. This includes giving zakat and sadaqah to the poor and needy, and spreading joy and happiness among those who may not have the means to celebrate Eid as we do.

In conclusion, Eid Al-Fitr is a day of joy and celebration, but it is also a day to reflect on our conduct as Muslims. Let us strive to follow the etiquettes of Eid, and make this special day a true reflection of the values and teachings of Islam.

May Allah accept our prayers and grant us all a blessed and joyous Eid.
Ameen.

IslamConclude Your Ramadan Seeking For Forgiveness by hgnbello(op): 4:20pm On Apr 16, 2023
Assalamu Alaikum

Dear brothers and sisters,

As we approach the end of the blessed month of Ramadan, it is important that we reflect on our actions and seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT) for any shortcomings we may have had during this month. Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and spiritual rejuvenation, and we must use this time to its fullest potential.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah, his previous sins will be forgiven." (Bukhari and Muslim) This hadith serves as a reminder to us that Ramadan is not only a time for abstaining from food and drink, but also a time for spiritual cleansing and seeking forgiveness.

One of the best ways to seek forgiveness is through sincere repentance. We must acknowledge our mistakes, regret them, and make a firm commitment to change our ways. This includes seeking forgiveness from anyone we may have wronged during Ramadan, as well as seeking forgiveness from Allah (SWT) through sincere dua (supplication).

We should also increase our acts of worship during these last few days of Ramadan, such as reciting the Quran, making extra prayers, giving charity, and performing good deeds. These acts of worship not only increase our reward but also serve as a means of seeking forgiveness and attaining closeness to Allah (SWT).

In addition to repentance and increased worship, we must also strive to maintain the good habits we have developed during Ramadan. This includes continuing to pray on time, reciting the Quran regularly, and being kind and compassionate towards others. Ramadan is a training ground for us to develop good habits that we can carry with us throughout the year.

Finally, we must remember that seeking forgiveness is not a one-time event but a continuous process. We must constantly strive to improve ourselves and seek forgiveness for our mistakes. As Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, "And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed." (Surah An-Nur, 24:31)

May Allah (SWT) accept our fasts, forgive our sins, and grant us the strength and guidance to continue on the path of righteousness beyond Ramadan.
Ameen.
IslamSome Important Lessons From Suratul Kauthar by hgnbello(op): 2:24pm On Apr 16, 2023
SOME IMPORTANT LESSONS FROM SURATUL KAUTHAR
Dear brothers and sister in Islam
Today, I would like to share some important lessons from Suratul Kauthar, one of the shortest chapters in the Quran.

Suratul Kauthar is a chapter that is full of blessings, and it was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) during a time of great adversity. It is a reminder of the importance of having trust in Allah (SWT) and being grateful for His blessings.

The chapter begins with Allah (SWT) saying: "Verily, We have granted you Al-Kauthar (a river in Paradise)." This verse highlights that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was given a great blessing, the river of Kauthar, which is a river in Paradise that is reserved only for him.

But what is the significance of this river? The river of Kauthar is a symbol of the abundance of blessings that Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon His Messenger. It is a reminder that even in times of hardship, we should always be grateful for the blessings that Allah (SWT) has given us.

The second verse of Suratul Kauthar says: "Therefore, pray to your Lord and offer sacrifice." This verse is a reminder that we should always turn to Allah (SWT) in times of difficulty and ask for His help. We should also show our gratitude by offering sacrifices and performing good deeds.

The third verse of Suratul Kauthar says: "Indeed, your enemy is the one who is cut off from the Mercy of Allah." This verse reminds us that our true enemy is not other people, but rather our own desires and temptations. We should always strive to control our desires and stay away from sin, as this is the only way to truly be successful in this life and the next.

In conclusion, Suratul Kauthar is a reminder of the importance of having trust in Allah (SWT) and being grateful for His blessings. We should always turn to Allah (SWT) in times of difficulty, offer sacrifices and perform good deeds, and strive to control our desires and stay away from sin. By following these teachings, we can hope to attain success in this life and the next.
May Allah (SWT) guide us all on the straight path.

IslamThe Importance Of The Last Ten Days Of Ramadan by hgnbello(op): 2:12pm On Apr 11, 2023
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem (In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful)

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, companions, and all those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment.

Dear brothers and sisters,

As we approach the end of this blessed month of Ramadan, we are reminded of the importance of the last ten days. These days are the most blessed and the most rewarding, and they provide us with a unique opportunity to draw closer to Allah and to seek His forgiveness and blessings.

The importance of the last ten days of Ramadan is highlighted by the fact that the Night of Power (Laylatul Qadr) falls within this period. This night is better than a thousand months, and it is a night of great blessing and mercy. Allah has said in the Quran:

"The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn." (Quran 97:3-5)

This means that any good deeds performed on this night are equivalent to the reward of performing them for a thousand months. Therefore, we must make the most of this opportunity and strive to worship Allah during these nights.

One of the best ways to spend the last ten days of Ramadan is to engage in extra acts of worship, such as reciting the Quran, performing extra prayers, giving charity, and making du'a (supplication) to Allah. We should also strive to seek forgiveness for our sins and to repent to Allah for any wrongdoings.

In addition to performing extra acts of worship, we should also strive to stay away from sinful behavior during these days. We must avoid backbiting, lying, cheating, and any other actions that are displeasing to Allah. We should also be kind and generous to others, especially our family, friends, and neighbors.

Dear brothers and sisters,

We must realize that the last ten days of Ramadan are a gift from Allah, and we should be grateful for this opportunity to earn His blessings and forgiveness. We must make the most of this opportunity and strive to worship Allah with sincerity and devotion.

And Allah knows best

May Allah accept our good deeds, forgive our sins, and grant us success in this world and the Hereafter. Ameen.

IslamThe Importance Of Giving Sadaqa (charity) by hgnbello(op): 4:36pm On Apr 09, 2023
Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Raheem

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and may His peace and blessings be upon His final messenger, Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.

Dear brothers and sisters in Islam, Today, I would like to talk about the importance of giving Sadaqa, the voluntary charity that we give for the sake of Allah.

As Muslims, we are blessed with many opportunities to give Sadaqa, whether it is in the form of Zakat, which is a compulsory charity that we give once a year, or other forms of voluntary charity, such as helping the needy, supporting Islamic causes, and contributing to the well-being of our community.

Giving Sadaqa is an essential part of our faith, and it carries great rewards and benefits, both in this life and in the hereafter. Allah has promised us in the Quran that those who give Sadaqa will receive manifold rewards from Him, and their wealth will not decrease as a result of their giving. Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah:

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing." [2:261]

Brothers and sisters, giving Sadaqa is not only a means of earning rewards, but it is also a way of purifying our wealth and purifying our souls. When we give Sadaqa, we demonstrate our gratitude to Allah for the blessings He has bestowed upon us, and we acknowledge that everything we have comes from Him. By giving to those in need, we strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood in our community, and we fulfill our obligation to help those who are less fortunate.

Moreover, giving Sadaqa is a way of seeking the pleasure of Allah and earning His forgiveness. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire." [Tirmidhi]

Dear brothers and sisters, we should always remember that the wealth we possess is not truly ours, but it is a trust from Allah. Therefore, we should use it in a way that pleases Him and benefits others. Giving Sadaqa is a way of fulfilling this trust, and it is a means of earning the love and mercy of Allah.

In conclusion, let us remember the importance of giving Sadaqa and the great rewards and benefits that come with it. Let us strive to give generously for the sake of Allah, and let us purify our wealth and souls through our charitable acts. May Allah accept our Sadaqa and bless us with His mercy and forgiveness.

And Allah knows best.

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Rahim,

Dear brothers and sisters, today's sermon is about the importance of showing kindness to others.

As Muslims, we are encouraged to treat others with kindness and compassion, regardless of their background, religion, or ethnicity. Allah (SWT) reminds us in the Holy Quran that "And We have sent you (O Muhammad) not but as a mercy for all the worlds." (Quran, 21:107)

Kindness is a fundamental aspect of Islam, and it should be a part of our daily lives. We should show kindness to our family members, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character." (Sahih Bukhari)

Showing kindness to others can take many forms. It can be a simple smile, a kind word, a small act of service, or even just listening to someone who needs to talk. By showing kindness, we can make a positive impact on someone's life and create a ripple effect of kindness in our communities.

Moreover, Allah (SWT) promises great rewards for those who show kindness. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever is kind, Allah will be kind to him; therefore be kind to man on the earth." (Tirmidhi)

In conclusion, my dear brothers and sisters, let us make an effort to show kindness to others every day. Let us strive to follow the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and be a mercy to all those around us. May Allah (SWT) guide us and help us to become kind, compassionate, and merciful towards all of His creation. Ameen..

IslamBenefits Of Nikkah by hgnbello(op): 12:19pm On Oct 10, 2022
As per Islam, Nikah is a commitment and agreement between man and woman to live together as husband and wife. In Islam, marriage is mandatory to complete one-half of the Muslim faith. However, it is upon his/her to select their life partner to complete his/her faith.

Prophet Mohammed emphasizes the importance of Nikah by saying:“A person who can support a wife and children and does not marry, then he is not from us.”
Islam clearly states not to delay getting married. Holy Prophet Mohammed (Allah’s Messenger) said,

“Do not delay in three things
The offering of the obligatory prayer
The offering of the funeral prayer when the dead body is present
The marriage of a woman when her match is found.”

As Allah says in the Quran,“And marry off those of your men and women who are leading an unmarried life i.e. single, and
also marry those of your male and female slaves who are righteous and fit for marriage.
If they are poor, Almighty Allah will make them rich out of
His grace and Allah, the Most Infinite, knows all things.”[Surach an-Nur 24:32]
If someone wants to get married but his situations do not permit him to do so, the responsibility is then shifted to his/her parents. But if parents are not alive, then his/her relatives can take up the responsibility and if he/she has no one, then the state will do so.Importance of Nikah
The following points show how much Islam gives importance to Nikah.

Prophet Mohammed said,“No house has been built in Islam more beloved in the sight of Allah than through marriage.”
The only way one completes his faith is through Nikah (Marriage).

Prophet Mohammed said,“One who marries has already guarded half of his religion. Therefore, he should fear Allah for the other half.”
Other points include:
The official way to produce children is through Marriage as it saves you from committing sins and Zina.
Marriage is the Sunnah. Our Prophet Mohammed promotes others to get married.
The primary aim of getting married is to have respect for your spouse. Marriage offers peace, safety, and spirituality. It also creates friendship, collaboration, and proper relations among his/her families.
Marry for happiness
The ones who get married save themselves from sinning and Allah helps such people. Marriage is a connection between not just two people but a union of two families. As per Islam, the husband and wife not only share their happiness and pleasure in marriage but Allah also gives them the strength to face problems together. Both the partners must take care of each other and respect the feelings of the spouse.

Allah says,“Among His signs is the fact that he has created spouses from among yourselves
so that you may find tranquility with them and
he has put love and mercy between you. In that are signs for people who reflect.”
