Let me add my own experience. Although not dating but with escorts.

Was on a business trip to Lagos so I came across this site on nairaland talking about escorts in Nigeria. Was curious and decided to browse through. I Saw a lot of profiles from Lagos and decided to call one beautiful girl I saw. Chatted her on WhatsApp and we agreed price. I even told her to send me her picture and she sent. My mistake was not demanding for video call. I described my hotel to her. She came to the reception and I was called that I had a visitor. I even told them it's my friend from high school. When she knocked on the room door and I opened. My body weak entirely.

I saw a full blown prostitute with skimpy outfits and entirely different from her profile. And to think the hotel reception saw me as a gentleman. I was really ashamed that this was what I called my friend to the front desk.
