When asked if she had any words with Akron, Ohio native, she said she was told not to interact with the players and didn’t want to bother him.

Gaia revealed that she had asked for the tickets three months prior in hopes of seeing James break the all-time scoring record, which he accomplished on Feb. 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

When Gaia found out James would be sitting out because of an ankle injury, she was “sad” and didn’t know if the superstar was traveling with the team.

Though the young fan didn’t see James’ skills on the court, she’ll cherish this experience for the rest of her life.

“I just freak out completely, thinking ‘Oh my goodness, this is the best moment of my life,” Gaia said.

Gaia ultimately snapped a picture with James after the game as the Lakers defeated the Warriors 109-103.

The Popular Chrisland School in Lagos is in the news again for the wrong reason, and it is also for death of another of another of it’s students.

A Nigerian mum, Mrs Blessing Adeniran is demanding answers from the management of Chrisland High School in Lagos state after her 12-year-old daughter, Desola Whitney Adeniran, slumped and died while attending the school’s Inter house sports held at the Agege Stadium last Thursday, February 9.

In a video posted online, the distraught mum said she was at the event to watch her daughter participate. She said she became worried when she didn’t see her daughter during the match past as well as other sporting events. Mrs. Adeniran said she decided to go where the students were all kept to check on her child. She said it was while she was there that she was told by a male student that a certain Whitney fainted and had been rushed to the hospital.

Mrs. Adeniran said one of the staff saw her and then told her that Whitney had been rushed to the hospital. On getting there, she met her daughter’s corpse. She said up till now, the school has not given in full details, what happened to her child.

The distraught mum said the school claims her 12-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest and slumped. Mrs Adediran said her baby girl was not sick and never had any pre-existing heart condition and wonders why she would suffer a cardiac arrest.

She is demanding the school comes clean to her with regards to what really happened to her child so she can bury her child in peace.

Durban – Police sources in Durban have confirmed rapper Kiernon ‘AKA’ Forbes was shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Florida Road on Friday night.

Another person believed to be AKA’s bodyguard, was also wounded, while another unidentified person, who is understood to be a close friend of AKA, has been shot dead.

Police in the province were yet to officially comment on the murders, but sources have independently confirmed from well-placed police sources, who cannot be named as they are not permitted to speak to the media.

It is understood that AKA was standing outside the Wish Restaurant when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting.

Two unknown cars are believed to have opened fire just before 10pm.

Police had cordoned off the area when reporters arrived at the scene on Friday night.

Speaking to reporters, stunned patrons at a nearby restaurant said AKA had been standing outside Wish when he was gunned down.

Garrith Jamieson, a spokesperson for ALS Paramedics said Florida Road has been closed off after the shooting incident Florida Road where two people have been confirmed deceased

Jamieson said amongst the deceased was a “famous rapper”.

The identity of the second person shot dead is unknown at this stage, but he is understood to be a close friend of AKA.

According to social media posts, AKA was due to perform at a Durban night club, YUGO, where he was expected to perform as part of his birthday celebrations.

His close friend Da Les, took to social media to express shock.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have successfully dismantled a trans-border drug cartel and arrested five leaders of the syndicates operating in parts of the world in a special operation that lasted weeks during which different quantities of skunk, methamphetamine and ephedrine as well as air compressors used to conceal and distribute them globally were recovered.

Spokesperson of the agency, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, January 29, 2023, said the special operation came on the heels of a warning by the Chairman of the Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) that drug barons and cartels will have it rough in 2023 if they fail to back out of the criminal business.

“Leaders of the cartel which spreads across Dubai, UAE; Cotonou, Benin Republic; Togo; Oman, Thailand and Europe as well as Lagos, Imo and Onitsha in Anambra state, had while on Christmas and New Year holidays in their villages were still coordinating efforts to send their illicit consignments to Dubai and other parts of the world.,” the statement read.

Their lid was blown open on Thursday 29th December 2022 when their freight agent, Onyeisue Collins Chukwudi was arrested by NDLEA officers at the SAHCO export shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja Lagos for attempting to export three big automobile air compressors to Dubai. A quick follow up operation led to the recovery of additional five compressors at his home at 24 Legacy road, Ayobo area of Lagos

A total of 27.50kgs of skunk were taken out of the air compressors after welding equipment was used to cut them open.

Further investigations revealed that the freight agent was working for a bigger organized criminal group.

As a result, extensive operational tools were deployed to track the first kingpin, Onuoha Peter Obioma who lives in Benin Republic and Togo but comes occasionally to do business in Lagos.

The efforts paid off on Saturday 7th January 2023 when Obioma walked into the waiting arms of NDLEA operatives with a bag containing additional air compressors used to conceal 15.7kgs skunk and a crystalline substance that later tested positive to methamphetamine after the Agencys sniffer dogs identified compressors with drug concealment.

Obioma’s statement led to the unraveling of two other leaders of the cartel: Dubai-based Ugo Kelechi Alex (aka KC) and Iwueke Ugochukwu (aka Odugwu), an Onitsha, Anambra based businessman, who were at that point still enjoying the Christmas and New Year holidays in their village in Imo state.

A well-coordinated operation was thereafter carried out on Tuesday 10th January at their ancestral homes in Umuobi village, Igbejere community, Ihitti-Uboma LGA, Imo State, while the arrow head of the cartel identified as Ezenwekwe Obinna Nicodemus, an automobile parts dealer at Alaba International market, Lagos was put under surveillance. A Lexus SUV and a Toyota jeep were immediately recovered from Kelechi and Iwueke.

After so many dramatic bids to evade arrest, NDLEA operatives eventually pinned Obinna down at a bar in Mazamaza, Mile 2 area of Lagos on Saturday 14th January.

A search of his home led to the recovery of 607 grams of ephedrine, a handful of Cannabis weighing 20 grams as well as other paraphernalia, including 271 grams of dimethyl sulfone used as a cutting agent for ephedrine, a chemical precursor and an active ingredient for the production of methamphetamine. A weighing scale and an International passport were equally recovered from his house.

A popular comedy skit maker, Murja Kunya, has been arrested by the police at Tahir Hotel in Kano.

The police arrested her while trying to book rooms for her guests who came from far and near for her much-publicised birthday bash.

In September last year, a Sharia court had written to the Kano State Commissioner of Police to arrest and investigate Miss Kunya alongside other TikTokers for corrupting the morals of the society.

Other TikTokers included in the letter are Mr 442, Safara’u, Dan Maraya, Amude Booth, Kawu Dan Sarki, Ado Gwanja, Ummi Shakira, Samha Inuwa and Babiana.

“Sequel to the complaint lodged by Muhd Ali Hamza Esq, Abba Mahmud, Esq, Sunusi I. Umar Esq, Abba, A.T Bebeji Esq, B.I Usman Esq, Muhd Nasir Esq, L.T Dayi Esq, G.A Badawi & Badamasi Suleiman Gandu Esq, I am directed by the presiding Upper Sharia Court Judge, Bichi Division Kano to write and kindly request you to conduct investigation against the above mentioned suspects for proper action,” the letter read in part.

In November last year, a Kano senior magistrate’s court sentenced two young men, Mubarak Isa and Nazifi Bala, to 20 strokes of cane and 30 days community service for making a TikTok comedy skit on the governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The defendants were convicted on two-count charge bordering on defamation of character and inciting public disturbance.

Senior Magistrate Aminu Gabari sentenced the duo to 20 strokes of cane and 30 days community service, including sweeping and washing toilets of the court complex at Noman’s Land.

Mr Gabari also ordered the convicts to pay additional N20,000 fine each, make a video on social media and tender apology to Mr Ganduje.

Jamaican Olympic sprinting champion, Usain Bolt, on Thursday, lost $12 million in his account with an investment company, Stocks and Security Limited, to hackers.

The track star’s lawyers said they are ready to file a lawsuit if that will make it possible to recover the lost money that mysteriously disappeared from Bolt’s account.

According to a statement from Bolt’s lawyers, it read, “The account was part of Bolt’s retirement and lifetime savings.

“It’s distressing news for anyone, and certainly in the case of Mr Bolt, who established this account as part of his private pension,” Gordon said on Wednesday.

“We will be going to court with the matter” if the company does not return the funds,” his lawyer, Linton P. Gordon, told Fortune magazine over the phone.

“It is a grave disappointment, and we are hoping that the matter will be resolved in a way that Mr Bolt will recover his money and be able to live in peace,” he added.

Reacting to the development, Stocks and Securities Ltd said in a statement on January 12 that it learned of the fraudulent activity by a former employee and had alerted law enforcement to the situation.

It also said that it had taken measures to secure customers’ assets and tighten protocols.

A separate statement released on Monday by the Jamaica Constabulary Force said the “alleged fraudulent activities at SSL that are said to have affected the accounts of Mr Usain Bolt and other individuals” are being looked into by those teams.

Meanwhile, On Tuesday night, Jamaica’s Finance Minister Nigel Clarke claimed that SSL had committed “alarming and evil fraud” and promised to “bring all perpetrators to justice.”

The Associated Press reported that Mr Bolt’s account with the company was created to act as a pension for both of his parents and the eight-time Olympic gold medal-winning sprinter.

The skit-maker denied ever meeting or knowing Dino Melaye personally and said the report was just to chase clout.

Soldier Captured On Camera Trying To Disarm A Police Man Of His gun In Lagos State
Soldiers and policemen got into a fight in public and this was caught on video. The physical confrontation occured this morning, Jan. 18, at ijaya, Apongbo, in Lagos State.

The soldiers attempted to disarm a police taskforce and they put up a fight.

A video shared online shows a soldier and a police officer wrestling while their colleagues exchanged words.

NO, the younger generation have not become lazy, I’ll rather say things have change, and a more advanced ways of doing things have emerged, things are no longer being done in the conventional ways we’ve always known them to be done.

You will realize that people who are always quick to say the younger generation has become lazy are the older generation because most of them are still stuck with the the conventional ways of doing stuffs, many of them are not going with the flow of the advancement of technologies. There are still people of the older generation who still drive manual cars and there by see people who drive automatic cars as lazy people. I don’t see it that way advancement has come in to make things simpler and easier for people, but people still want to remain in the past.

In preparation for the up coming February presidential election, a video in circulation shows a man displaying the contents of a package given to him by the APC in exchange for his vote in the up coming elections.

According to the man in the video, he was asked for his voters card, and something was written down on it before being handed the package and his voters card. Some of the items in the package includes garri, beans, 2 packets of indomie, a hand band, APC T shirt, sachet of oil etc, which is supposed to be his settlement for the next 4 years.

The man in the video also said categorically that he won’t be voting for the APC, saying whatever is been given to him, will collect, but won’t vote for the APC, his reason being that he has suffers enough for eight years.

News reaching 24magix is the arrest of a large number of armed robbery and kidnap gang in a hotel in masaka area 1, a surbub at the outskirt of Nasarawa state, the gang who are said to be responsible for a large number of kidnappings and robbery in the area have been apprehended.

A tip off was given to police men about the hideout of the gang which prompted them to move in on the gang swiftly. among the gang was a lady who is also involved in the operations of the gang. The gang are still in the custody of the police as at the time of writing this report.

I think there’s absolutely nothing wrong with expensive and glamorous weddings, cause obviously there’s nothing wrong with having an expensive wedding if one can afford it.

But what is suspicious is the fact that it is this expensive and glamorous weddings that tend to come to an end so easily like it never happened in the first place, infact that is the more reason why people feel it is the fact that these type of weddings are expensive and glamorous, that makes the marriages not to last long.

I stand to be corrected but i disagree with that, expensive marriages don’t end so quickly just because they are expensive NO, it makes no sense i personally think that the reason why people think it is the expensive marriages that come to an end too quickly is because this expensive marriages are high profile marriages that attracts alot of media attention, and so alot is known about this marriages that even after the glam of the wedding, attention is still being placed on the couples that whatever happens after the wedding is still known even up to when it crashes.

I can tell you for a fact that the less expensive wedding are also crashing. We don’t just know about them because they are not in the spot light like the expensive weddings.

Fancy Acholonu has revealed how she dated Alex Ekubo for five years without intimate relationship.

She took to instagram to declare that she is “Free” and that “the chain is broken. She has also made more shocking revelation about his sexuality.

This is coming after the Nigerian model made other U-turn days after apologising and seeking reconciliation with ex-fiancé, Alex Ekubo.

While the former love birds got engaged in May 2021, Acholonu suddenly called off their already-scheduled wedding in August of the same year.

On Friday, the model issued a public apology to Ekubo via Instagram, stating that her heart still belongs to him.

Ekubo reacted to the apology with a comment which read, “I appreciate the apology. May God bless us all.”



The post has since been deleted.



In an unexpected turn of events, Acholonu took to Instagram on Monday to declare that she is “free” and that “the chain is broken.”

“Happy New Year everyone. 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself & FINALLY no longer under anyone’s control. I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all. #SimplyFancy,” she captioned the post

In an interview with Stella Dimoko Korkus, Fancy Acholonu revealed that for the five years they dated, he never had intimacy with her.

“I tried my best. He wanted to get back with me as much as I did. We’ve been at this for one year. But he felt since I broke up with him I should do more of the work. I was fine with that but his methods are cruel and constantly public. His sexuality is not the reason I broke up with him. I’m very open minded so regardless of what he prefers, love is love for me. I loved him for his personality and heart nothing more. He didn’t want to be with me intimately which was confusing and difficult for me to understand especially for 5 years so it did affect my self esteem as I kept myself for him and when he would cheat with curvy women he wouldn’t perform with them either so I don’t know, I can’t confirm or deny his sexuality but for me, I loved him despite all and he still found ways to hurt me.”

When I met him I didn’t have much experience so it was easy to convince me that his decision was because of religion. But as he would constantly cheat and yes I caught him, it would hurt me because that’s not part of the religious believe he made our celibacy to be. Honestly this whole thing has been complicated beyond words so it’s unhealthy for me to continue this relationship. I guess I needed this post he begged me to do so that i can see his intention was just to clean up his image.”

When asked to say something to Alexx through this interview, Fancy Acholonu said: “Honestly I don’t know what to say to him. This has to be the most devastating thing I’ve ever been through, and for it to be so public; I pray we both find healing and peace because it won’t be an easy journey. One breakup statement shouldn’t have led to all this. I wish I never said anything but I am human; I was fed up with good reasons. I pray he doesn’t only focus on people’s reactions but evaluate his actions too. I also pray he learns to be real and more forgiving with his next person and not be so consumed with having the perfect image because it’s draining to keep that up. My mental health can’t tolerate our relationship anymore.”
