Gistmedia10: Motorists have been left stranded after a section of the Kano-Maiduguri expressway was washed away by a severe flood caused by heavy downpour. The incident left the major highway impassable and causing significant disruption to transportation in the region.
Speaking at the scene on Thursday, Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, emphasised the importance of the road, which serves as a critical link between the North-West and North-East parts of Nigeria. He has also assured residents and motorists that he will inform the Federal Government of the situation to seek immediate intervention. The Governor expressed concern over the impact of the flood, which has not only disrupted travel but also poses a threat to the livelihoods of those who rely on the expressway for commerce and daily activities.
Governor Mohammed emphasized the need for swift action to repair the damaged portion of the road and called on relevant agencies to provide immediate relief to those affected by the flood. He also highlighted the importance of long-term measures to prevent future occurrences of such incidents, particularly in flood-prone areas.

Gistmedia10: In a dramatic escalation of the #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria, the residence of Hon. Nazifi Sani, the federal representative for the Gumel/Maigatari/Sule-Tankarkar/Gagarwa constituency in Jigawa State, has been set ablaze by irate youths.
The protests, which have swept across the nation, are fueled by widespread grievances over economic hardship and a nationwide hunger crisis, which many attribute to poor government policies. The incident at Hon. Sani's residence occurred as youths expressed their anger and frustration over the misappropriation of funds.
Despite the imposition of curfews in several protest-affected states in northern Nigeria, and repeated calls for calm from authorities, the unrest persists. Protesters, particularly in the northern regions, continue to demand accountability and significant reforms. Many have expressed dissatisfaction with the president's recent address on August 4, 2024, claiming it failed to address their core demands.
As the #EndBadGovernance movement continues to gain momentum, the Nigerian government faces increasing pressure to respond to the demands of its citizens and implement meaningful changes.
Sannisege: So private sector people don’t have kids in universities who can apply for student loans? OP is the one who is actually sick upstairs.
u see.Nigerians.U actually think I need any of those palliatives or smthg.I know ppl who have no means of benefiting from the policies directly or indirectly. But once person talk una go think say e Dey hungry. The only way a nation gets to all it’s citizens is via subsidies if u like no listen na una hunger go kill.i don cross
advanceDNA: Without subsidy on essential goods and services the government of a nation can't truly share the common wealth of a nation effectively.........it is robbery against the citizens to remove all forms of subsidy...and now be selling rice to some pple, giving scrap 20k as loan to students........
yes like me now none of tinubus initiatives will get to me.i no be student,I no be civil servant. So I am not carried in the whole thg.So that’s the problem.Tinubu no be person
I want to ask some questions. He has gone ahead to be paying students 20k per month as student loan,he has increased minimum wage to 70k and has also told federal employees to apply for 40k bag of rice purchases online. So the big question is?what is the percentage of the public servants in Nigeria?how many people are out of school in Nigeria? If your policies are to favor only those in public service and students?how do you carry people in the private sector along?I know he takes a lot of hard drugs but does his advisers also take the hard drugs?I have never been this disappointed in my life.
any man when don do drugs and any woman when din do ashawo u suppose avoid them.their level of heartlessness and desperation is not what normal people can comprehend
