Honestly let's run away from big lot size especially in a volatile market like gold and others, the temptation is too much, as a person you need money, so that greediness is in every human being. Every body loves money. Big lots size has dealt with me severally and it is still dealing with me. I have lost more than $2300 in live account just because of big lot size, I want to pack all the money in forex trade and I don't know that they set big trap for me.

And for the newbies try and use cent account to grow your money before going to dollar account Cent account will help you a lot even if you increase your lot size a bite........

That is why forex trading is a journey,not a Sprint or get rich quick schemes.

One should treat his trading account as business not gamble. Treat as an investment account or retirement savings account.

Trading is about discipline and following laid down rules. No matter how favourable the situation is, always stick to the rules.

It is simply greed, that makes one uses bigger lotsize without considering the account size.

As a trader, practice position sizing. As a newbie, stick to maximum of 0.01 on a $100 account size. Only veterans should be using higher lotsize on a $100 account.

I think under normal circumstances, this below should do for newbie;

Maximum of; 0.01 for $100
0.02 for 200
0.03 for 300 and so on.

My genuine intentions have always being to bring life to trading in my country. I know things are rough back home and feel really bad when I see people trade cent account or I see $10 or $100 or I see a lot of demo accounts flying here and there. Many here have dm'ed me and have privately helped them but I have found that even when I tried to create a loving family that goes beyond just NL or trading, greed is one major instrument embedded in my country people that makes many out there roaring to devour and trick you.....at this point, I'm no longer safe.

My problem now is I set profit target and sometimes it take days to tp or the trade moves in my direction and few pips to tp it reverse majestically to entry and then sl.. This is a problem for me. I don't know if I am being too greedy as I see $2, $5 even $10 as little money neglecting the very small account size. Maybe you should start trailing stop loss,after the trade(s) move in your direction.
You can also fixed your take profit few pips before the next zone you think it might reversed from.

If you are sure of the trend, you can check smaller time frame for retracement and enter again after first entry, this way, you can take profit from your first entry and let the second entry to run. That is after the second might have break even.

You can also have a mental take profit, may be like after 20,30 pips move or like $2,$3 gained

As for the swap charges,try and close trades before the day ends, then you can re-enter the next day, if you are certain of the trend. OR

You try out brokers with swap free account,like tigerwit
