Your reasoning seems to stem from a poor understanding of personal responsibility, accountability and other virtues like hard work and dedication that actually helps maintain and improve the state of a person's life and society in general, especially given that these qualities aren't actually qualities that would likely be exhibited by someone who just wants to "do whatever he wants". People who just do whatever they want don't care about personal responsibility, they don't care about rules, they don't care about hard work and commitment to a cause as long as it undermines their pursuit of short-term pleasure and self gratification. People like this are in every sense hedonistic, and pleasure seeking and comfort is all that matters to them. If every person in the world took your advice, given that no one directly harms anyone by choosing not to work hard at a task or do anything that indicates personal responsibility to his society, do you think the world would be a better place than it is?

How about a commitment to always stand for the truth, even if it accrues you negative consequences? I mean there have been people throughout history who stood for the truth, to the point of even giving their lives for it. They weren't doing what made them happy, in fact they were doing the opposite, but they understood that they had a responsibility to their fellow humans, and this responsibility superseded their craving for pleasure and comfort, and they pursued this responsibility with integrity. And it's because of people like this that you are able to sit at the comfort of your home, with a mini computer in your hands and type this ignorance-ridden, morally malnourished post.
