Bahamas95: Our ancestors did lots of crazy things back then like the killing of twins etc outa ignorance. Maybe they see albinos as low budget oyibo and they preferred the real ones. the killing of albinos go way back before the Advent of the white man in Africa. what about the light skinned people why didn't they see them as low budget oyinbo? |

Culture › Why Did Our Ancestors Discriminate Albinos by Hintona(op): 8:10am On Sep 04, 2020 |
If it's true that men of every race especially sub saharan African men see light skinned women as more beautiful "subconsciously" than darker skinned women, then why did our fore fathers discriminate albinos? N/B: I'm not trying to justify the discrimination against albinos or say light skinned women are less beautiful. I just want to know if preference for light skinned women is society and media induced. Trolls are allowed but I'll appreciate if your answer is a product of deep critical and constructive thinking. thanks. |

May I inform you that there are countries in Africa that are better than Nigeria.
Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia, Rwanda, Etc are way better than the over hyped and empty Proud Nigeria. People like you are the ones hindering Nigeria's progress, my earnest prayer that your type is not much in this country if not we are doomed. America did not become the greatest country in the world because it's people were pessimistic bigots nonsense. |

spiralwedge: Hintona, first of all, happy birthday.
You are lucky you have parents at all. Some dont have, some have half. But you have both.
They may not be perfect, but they have tried a little to send you to school. Use the resource they have given to you to make up for their inadequacies. For instance, use your education to use Google wisely, or even ask the questions here or do some research from trusted people.
That succint line from your mum is golden and is the best sex education you can get from the best mothers. Thanks. |
Family › Re: My Parents Have Never Educated Me On Sex by Hintona(op): 1:27pm On Aug 18, 2020 |
WhisperedNoise: Your parents are probably the old generation, conservative kinda parents. From your previous threads and comments, you know more about sex than you are letting on. I don't know why the sex talk is forbidden in your house... Well, understand that sex in real life differs from sex in books and movies. Me belives that absteinence before marriage is the way to go. When you're courting, there are Christian books about sex and its sisters that you can read; there are even christian sex therapists. Don't fret.
Happy birthday, btw. Cheers to a new age...20, I guess.
PS: That your Hulk Hogan boyfriend...una still dey? Thanks for the advice Nope we broke up Not yet 20 tho. |

ZIMDRILL: its too late to talk about sex now, i mean that sex guide for girl, usually that talk should start the moment you start developing breast and that time you start your period
If your mum never talk about sex or men who then guided you through 1st period?
@ 20 your mum should guide you towards either sex before marriage or how to use contraceptives to avoid unwanted/unplanned pregnancy My first three periods was in a boarding school, my mum only sent pads. |

Family › My Parents Have Never Educated Me On Sex by Hintona(op): 9:29pm On Aug 17, 2020*. Modified: 10:12pm On Aug 17, 2020 |
I'm almost 20 and my parents have never mentioned anything about sex to me, not even to tell me me about abstinence. When I was in secondary school, I hear my friends discuss about the things their parents told them about sex, especially that infamous line "don't allow a boy to touch you, if not you'll get pregnant" , and I'll laugh with them but I could never relate. The only time my mum has even come close to telling me about sex was when our neighbour's daughter was raped, she told me I should be careful with boys and even if I wanted to have sex I should use a condom, I was quite surprised though. Even my Dad who's more conservative have never even mentioned the word sex to my hearing before . I wonder if they'll ever discuss it with me, or maybe it's too early, or are they shy or scared to approach the topic. PS; I've asked my neighbour about it and she says the only time her parents tells her anything about sex is when they are quarrelling her and they'll be like "if you like go and get pregnant and come back to my house, I'll throw you out". And I can't even broach the issue with them, there are some questions I would like to ask them about sex and I feel they are the only ones who can answer them. I'm a bit worried. |
