ravenzord:
@ Poster: LMAO! U're complaining about girls in the west? Then you should come to the East, that's where you'll hear a fakeas.s Yanks accent superimposed on a conc Igbo accent. You call a girl and she goes: 'Yois? Ah wuz lak,ah yuh talking tah me? Cos Am lak, very beusy raht now, Ah doesn't wanna miss mah flaght' (This coming from a girl who doesn't know what a plane looks like)

Then of course, there's the females who aren't faking the accent but can't even tone it down for a razz brother, girls like Ibk, I remember when I tried listening to her recordings on the 'Oral Haven' thread, couldn't hear excreta'
cheeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiii o shocked

PoliticsRe: Aviation Safety And Human Privacy Concerns by HIO4(op): 3:55am On Dec 30, 2009
No comments, huh ?  I would be to shocked to speak too.
Isn't it disheartening to know that not a lot has actually been done in the wake of this recent terrorist attack to protect our lives.

I suppose America is doing all it can on its soil so far . . . but the efforts will be quite frankly irrelevant if airports abroad don't follow suit.
PoliticsAviation Safety And Human Privacy Concerns by HIO4(op): 3:35am On Dec 30, 2009
The biggest question at the moment is, what can be done to improve safety in the skies?

Experts have mentioned that enforcing newer, stricter security checks at the "homeland airports" in the U.S. does not suffice and is nearly intangible since the terrorists who plan these calculated attacks against the U.S. are flying in from countries that have not adopted the cutting-edge technology needed to conduct thorough security checks.

They also expressed concerns that although the U.S. is ready to deploy technologically-advanced scanners to Europe (and some other countries) to ensure more adequate check-ups, European nations have been expressly reluctant to implement these new devices at their airports because they believe the devices are intrusive and in violation of the established human privacy laws they have in place. Leaving a gaping loophole that could be exploited by any future culprits, which makes the situation even more frightening.

For those who have travelled by air within the past couple of days, have you noticed any significant changes in security checks at airports that would be capable of detecting any incendiary devices strapped to underwears?

The Central Intelligence Agency and their counterpart counter-terrorism agencies cannot rationalize how they carelessly allowed a reported loon to maneuver through security with such ease.
“I am one from a production line of terrorists that has been trained in Yemen by al-Qaeda,” he was quoted to have said, according to ABC.

“There are more just like me who will strike soon,” Mutallab said, according to The British tabloid, The Daily Telegraph.
shocked shocked It shocks me and strikes fear in my heart everytime I read those parts in bold.
These are machined assassins who have been branded to kill. A "production line of terrorists" eager and thirsty to pay the ultimate price. Committed to human decimation.
there's no empirical definition of justice in the Nigerian and Nairaland context, so its a word to be avoided here.

to many Nigerians and NLers, justice only means mob lynching. They're unaware of any other usage of the word and will get more confused with any attempt at explanation.
Nairaland is first and foremost, and solely an AUTOCRACY.
An extremist autocracy. The perfect dictatorship.
The dictator and his soldiers are working under the perfect system.

^yes it is
For example, a certain mugsmasher made death threats against another nairalander's child yet the admin did nothing about it and he or she is still free to post at will.

Likewise, a certain aloy emeka opened a thread to abuse others including myself yet when a similar thread was opened for him, the moderator made me understand my thread is haram while aloy emeka's is kosher.

In similar vein, platinumk was on a rampage yesterday accusing me of using Igbo on a thread. Her Igbo brother did the same but she had nothing to say about that.

Miichelin, another moderator, is quite fond of starting threads to attack others, she uses very disgusting language and insults to attack people on the basis of their tribes, but for some reason, she's celebrated on NL by her peers.

We also have a moderator who is fond of badmouthing a state yet he goes haywire when his own state is mentioned in a non-complimentary manner.
