Goke7: From the day Starmer insulted Aunty kemi as the self appointed saviour of the western world I started suspecting Starmer. It’s because folks don’t like Kemi including me that’s why it looks as if it wasn’t an issue but I still maintain that was a racist jab! Since that day my mind shifted away from Starmer and I started seeing him as a closet Reform party member! That comment was certainly racist but I was one of those people who did not see it as such at the time, my dislike for Kemi probably blinded me then. Starmer is just like Farage, he just doesn't make his outburst as public. They're both racist cunts. |

repogirl: My dearest lovely readers,
I owe you a huge apology. I had hoped to be back by mid-January, but circumstances beyond my control delayed my return.
I kindly ask for your patience as I take care of some family matters. I’m hoping to be back in March, and I truly appreciate your continued love and support.
Best Wishes, Peju. Family first. Sending you light and love, Peju. For some of us who started the story, literally, from day one, waiting till March is not a big deal 1 Like |

Lovely to see Jedisco is living rent free in some people's head. You can't hide your bitterness and misery behind "I no send..." when it's glaring you do send.
I'm usually one to read and move on but these series of personal attacks should be roundly condemned for what they are, disgusting.
The irony of how your claim that his "bragging" on a faceless forum is uncalled-for whilst you're hating on him on the same faceless forum, is lost on you is pitiable.
You guys need some serious instrospection. |

Goke7: Am so sorry for all you're going through, please stay strong ( easier said than done) and seek all manner of legal help you can get.
You see all these kids that we spend huge resources on in the name of a better life, hmmm, no wonder many are sending them back home in Nigeria or Africa to school, where oraimo cord will reset their brains for real with no government interference. It's a sad reality for some families. Some watch their kids go astray before their very eyes and are unable to do anything about it because the only sure way they know that will set such kids straight will get them (the parents) in trouble with "the authority" here. Really sad. |

With the most recent update from the Home office and the interpretations I've seen online so far, it's safe to say they don't want many of the pioneer health and care visa holders to attain IRL.
Except if there's a legal leeway to exploit. |

The whose share code thing doesn’t seem to have gotten any traction so far. naivasha: Returned from a trip on Wednesday. I handed over my passport, expired BRP, printout of e-visa and share code. The immigration officer took my passport and returned the rest. He asked a few questions, took my thumb print and that was it. Thank you both. |

Did you present the expired BRP like that or was it your share code you presented at the entry point? |

immobilare: People I need help. I am scheduled to take my practical driving test on 7th March. My instructor all of a sudden told me he won't be available and i should reschedule. I am determined to go ahead on that day. Can I get someone who can accompany me with his car. I'm willing to pay. Location is livingston, Edinburgh Scotland. In addition to what AgentXxx said, you can hire from Arnold Clark. They have cars with dual pedals just like the driving school cars do. Just go with someone with a full license (you're not supposed to drive unaccompanied with only your temporary driving licence, after all) All the best. |

Also, how do I do the thumb/fingerprinting as I do not have the ink pad? Thank you Register/create an account at possap.gov.ng Make a request for the PCC and make your payment as appropriate You'd get an email with the document for your fingerprints Get an ink pad/stamp pad from the post office. |

Krys1: I would be moving home from England to Scotland.
I’d need a moving company suggestion please.
Thank you. If you have a driving licence and are confident, you could explore the option of renting a van from Arnold Clark or any rental and drive yourself. Or you could rent a van and get someone to drive as well. Either option would typically be cheaper than getting a moving company. |

Cyberknight: No. The rule allowing for a lower going rate only applies to those who had skilled worker visas prior to 4 April. Hello Cyberknight, can you please shed more light on the link shared by Lefty? I see you used similar term "lower going rate" as was used in the link he shared. Has the requirement for minimum salary of £38700 been dropped now for standard rate? |
Travel › Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Hkana: 10:26am On Oct 13, 2024 |
Lefty500: For example Data analyst has occupation code of 3544, with standard going rate of £33,200/y and £28,600 for lower going rate. So you must earn equal or above £33,200 to be eligible for sponsorship, but if you got the COS before 4th April 2024,then you go with the lower going rate.
COS gotten before 4th April 2024 => lower going rate After 4th April 2024 => standard going rate.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupations/skilled-worker-visa-going-rates-for-eligible-occupation-codes Hi Lefty, is that paragraph an update on the new rules? I've always thought the new rules meant for skilled worker visa from after April 2024, the salary had to meet the threshold of either the going rate of the job or £38700 whichever of the two was higher. I had a read of the link you attached and I could see it was last updated 8th of October hence my curiosity. It will be nice if it is as you stated in your post. |

Despite having 14yrs experience of driving through the nook and crook of Nigeria thinking I was a professional driver, my doubt was cleared and I had to relearn and throw a way the bad habits .
As Oga Lexus once said “the more years you spent driving the Nigeria roads, the more lessons and trainings you would need to pass unless you are among the few lucky ones. 😂 Congratulations. Your post has given me a bit of hope. I'm currently learning to drive using a manual and I'm almost at my wits end. Lol. Was yours a manual test? |

I don't like how the thread has suddenly taken a Everyone else-against-Zahra turn. She's expressed her opinions which she's entitled to and everyone else is as well entitled to theirs. But the way it now seems as if everyone else is trying to have a go at her isn't right. With the tone of the messages, you guys would inflict bodily harm if she was close.
The fact that she's taking all the heat as they come shouldn't stop you guys from taking a pause. She has not said the far right guys are right. She's been a really helpful member of this community and if everyone else gangs up against her for daring to hold a different view to the popular sentiments here then we'd not be any different from these far righters.
It's scary out there, yes. I was paranoid walking back home from the mosque tonight but that shouldn't be enough reason to vent on some poor lady who's as much a victim as the rest of us. |
