I also carry out oxidative stress assay, antioxidant assay and phytochemical analysis (vo nods head and cuts me)
VO: so you’d be working with this person (while looking at my I-20)
Me: (I thought she was referring to my international affairs officer from my school, so I explained) that’s the immigration officer (I made a mistake and corrected myself immediately) sorry, he’s the international affairs officer, yes i’d be working with professor bleep.

It’s God’s favor and grace, if you can fast and pray please do, even though we get close to God at the times of our need, it teaches us a lesson how faithful God can be when we are always in his presence.
Note: please, in the face of all pink papers, every other person have their peculiar case, the place is not so tensed but be prepared and keep smiling.
Thanks to Debbie (your own is sorted already), Nerdychukz, Maximum frequency shawarma and Ayodeji, I wish you all on the USA student visa trend success. |

Smiley01: Guys this is the transcript of my recently concluded interview .
Me: good morning Vo: good morning, pls pass me your passport . Vo: where are you going to? Me: am going to Saint cloud University Minnesota. Vo: why st cloud University? Me: well after my first degree on biotechnology I went on a research on school of technology in the United states and I came across st cloud University. From my research I discovered that st cloud University is the best University in the whole of Minnesota I terms of technology for instance I discovered they have the latest laboratory tools and equipments such as the latest dna sequencing machine , hand pipette, the autoclave ,agitators to mention but a few and exposure to this practical environment will help me Hone and develop my practical skills because quality control and safety technology is entirely a practical course on its own. I would also be able to put to work some of the concept I was taught during my first degree as some of the courses offered are related to courses I encountered during my first degree there by making me a complete and a confident graduate in my field of specialization. Vo: okay Vo: who is your sponsor? Me; my parents and I also have their statements here with me . Vo: what do they do? Me: my mom is a medical doctor at lasth and operates her private clinic at lagos also. My dad is a business man. Vo: what does he do? Me: he deals in automobile tyres Vo: okay Vo: what have you been doing since you graduated? Me: well I have been working in my mom's clinic under the supervision of the chief laboratory scientist. Vo: long pause!! Sorry you are not qualified for a us visa..then she hands the blue paper to me.
Please where did I go wrong and what do I need to do to improve my chances next time. What are your fees and living expenses? |

JoeBazz: Reading the Indians transcript today on MS US page, I observed many of them were rejected even with funding, just few approvals. I'm starting to think the VOs have monthly quota or target like this Visa issuance is not fair. My advice to everyone here that is having issue with there Visa being approved should also try universities in other countries. When we tell VOs that we applied to Universities in other country they wont tag us desperate or potential immigrants. Exactly what I thought |

Brown2Green: Safaest way to convince the VO if you're using Uncle/Aunty as sponsor is to print an SOA ending very close to your interview date. A day or two days to your interview.
That's more like very convincing.
Matter of fact one just chatted me that the VO held on to his SOA and requested for a new one closing in mid June and gave a yellow paper. That’s why I am concerned with the uncle/aunty sponsorship thing |

Brown2Green: Depends on the VO.
But you ask yourself.. Will your uncle pay a deficit of $400000? Why would he pay?
How can one cope in the US with no personal funds, no family funds, no Tuition Waiver? How can you convince the VO you wouldn't drop out when you get there? My case is sponsored by an uncle, I have a full tuition waiver and monthly stipend with a deficit of $10,194, does anyone think I stand a good chance with my uncle’s SOA of $14,000? |

omohakin: Hello House, My VISA was approved today at the Abuja Embassy I will like to say a Big Thank you to everyone who finds time to share valuable information here. This platform has helped me all through this process.
My Key Profile Washington State University, Pullman M.Sc. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering option) Graduate Research Assistant Position (Full tuition waiver and monthly stipends) No standard test taken: It wasn’t required by the institution (I am not advising this but I couldn’t help because of some constraints. Although I have previously written IELTS 2015) Refused Canada Study Visa twice 2017 B.Eng Civil Engineering
MY TRANSCRIPT as much as I remember ME: Good morning ma VO: Good morning, Pass me your Passport and I-20 (an aged white woman- window 9) ME: Alright ma. Here it is VO: oohh…you’re going to Washington State University (she glanced through my I-120). She nods. why this school? ME: Aside being offered a GRA position that comes with a full tuition waiver and monthly stipends, I have vested interest in the current research of Prof. Bleep on unsaturated soils. Geotechnical engineering research at WSU is carried out in collaboration and supported by funds by the US National Science Foundation, US Department of Transportation, US Department of Energy and US Federal Highway Administration and other private companies. Also… (VO cuts in) VO: What will you do after your program ME: I will return to Nigeria and Take up a Senior Project Engineer Position with Julius Berger NIg. I had my internship here and they give priorities to past interns more so haven added an international exposure, this is be a great advantage for me. I…(VO Cuts in) VO: I see you applied to Canada ME: yes ma, that is true. I applied in 2017 for a study visa but was refused. The VO raised concerned about my financial ability to fund this program. I…. (VO nods……and cuts in) VO: Do you have a letter from the department confirming your assistantship and funding ME: Yes ma. I do. (presented the letter) VO: (she read thru the dept. letter thoroughly) …I can see you have to pay a residence fee of 1k USD. How will you pay that? do you have a financial statement? ME: yes, ma I do (I presented my dad’s Fixed deposit bank statement for the past 3months), it is my dad’s statement…. (VO Cuts in) (although the money will be deducted gradually from my monthly stipends as stated in my letter. My monthly stipend is close to 2k USD. I didn’t say this as I felt it will show I don’t have any personal fund) VO: oohh. your dad. What does he do? ME: He is a principal manager (electrical) with Bleep. He… (VO cuts in) VO: oohh I see your dad is also an engineer ME: Yes ma. He is an electrical engineer. VO: (VO nods) …congratulations, your VISA is approved. She started saying the regular things of don’t overstay stuff, make sure you do this do that…present your I-20…e.t.c ME: yes maa. I do understand …. Thank you… (I took my leave)
Too many refused Visas during my stay in the hall. I think I saw just like 3 approvals…one old couple, a guy which I saw had full funding also and a young lady who said she came to renew her VISA. She is an undergraduate at Ohio State University.
Above all Preparation and Effort(s), God favored me. A big thank you to Bwiizy, Solihp for their support. Also, I never fail to go through comments made by Bracelum, Time2win, Brown2Green, Shawarma and others too many to mention. I wish those awaiting their interview, admission or funding Success. Congrats bro, I noticed the final deciding factor has always been the ability to fund expenses. mentioning your dad/mum/husband/wife has sponsor for your deposit makes it perfect. My case is sponsored by an uncle, I have a full tuition waiver and monthly stipend with a deficit of $10,194, does anyone think I stand a good chance? |

ProYouWebsiteUK: Nigerians with our selfish attitudes. We don't need to hear the gist on how your Visa was approved, all we want to hear is the useful informations in your story that can help others achieve what you achieved, not these I answered, I answered that you gave us instead of giving us the useful details.
Let's not be selfish here. You gained something from other people's Transcript. Why did you refused to let someone gain something from your own Transcript the same way you gained from someone's.
It won't reduce your your funding or take back your Approval if give your Transcript in details. Please I noticed that people who have their visa approved are sponsored by their Dad/mom/husband, tuition waiver, stipend or no tuition waiver, most people who mention uncle, with part tuition waiver and stipend have been denied as I have been reading. Please has anyone come across tuition waiver, stipend with a deficit and sponsored by an uncle, to be honest I think if you answer the questions correctly the final deciding factor is the relationship of the person who sponsors you, I have read up to 60 VO interviews and this has seemed to me like the deciding factor |
