Some of these seemingly silly questions , i have an idea of what the answers are but i would rather ask here from people who have been dere nd done that.
Reassurance that, what i think is right is actually right. Since i have been following this thread when tb rates where pretty good, so u know how long. I have stuck to what i know and learnt here on treasury bills .when i see bond shares i dont even bother cause i dont know it well nd tb was still paying well.
With tb gone south we need to learn other investment opportunities So excuse the silly questions, correct people gladly responded to to clear our doubts. I didn't see u answering any. Give me time to obtain my MBA degree in bonds and shares from this thread first. Me that i hv been following the responses to other people's questions that relates to this sukuk jejely no yab us at all |

from the advert i understand that the money is for construction of road by the Federal .
My question what's that name about sukuk? Is it an acronym abi it has arabic meaning?
It appears like an Islamic financial arrangement since they used rental period instead of interest. Why ? sebi it federal government ?
Please i am not in anyway religiously biased. I respect everyone religious beliefs so that's not my point. I just wanna learn. |

unite4real: This is the third time government is selling sukuk in Nigeria. The person you met may not be aware and is mistaken it for FGN bond. Why don't you go with the printed offer. One person will pass it around and before you know it, you are sorted out. Which state and branch did u visit.
Do u have a cscs number already. If u don't, go get one first and it's not Stanbic IBTC bank that will do that but stock brokers.
If you already have, the just fill the sukuk form, go to same Stanbic and pay into the account for sukuk as advertised.
Take your form and evidence of payment and walk out of Stanbic if they cannot help. Take them to either FBN Quest Merchant Bank or Lotus Financial services LTD. Give it to them and go home. Wait after 6 months and receive your first rent in December. Can you please help us new bees with a figure lets say 1millon 11.22 % , 7 years and. Half yearly rent payment for 7 year. Please if u dont mind give practical figures of the payments ever 6month |

emmanuelewumi: [b] It is impossible for 20% of the employees to be financially intelligent.[/b]
But a worker who is financially intelligent should be allowed to invest his Retirement Savings Account by himself. This can be determined if the employee accumulated a sum or built an investment that is equivalent to or higher than the sum in his Retirement Savings Account.
If at retirement you have N20 million in your Retirement Savings Account, but you have built a personal investment portfolio of N25 million by yourself apart from the Retirement Savings .
It is better to allow such an employee to manage his total Retirement Savings if he wishes Even if you try educating them with your little knowledge they will still be sceptical and afraid |

A lot of guys made it then, you transfer from bank using moneygram to ghana, go to ghana for withdrawal and change the dollar in nigeria. On average, i made 50k per $1,000 after removing transport and miscellaneous. I can't do that any more because am too busy and too stressful to be going to accra regularly.
