I religiously followed events in Irkutsk in the months of July and August,via vesti Irkutsk,the least temperature the city experienced was +21°c.most of the days between mid June to August in Irkutsk,temperature is between +18°c and +32°c.The school hostel was recently renovated. The hostel fees was increased from $200 last year to $800 this year due to the recent renovation. I am still taking my time as i don't want what happened last year to repeat itself,after i paid $500 for admission letter and invitation and i ended up not going to Irkutsk.Are there Nigerian students in Irkutsk state medical university? which city in Siberia are you schooling?

Bros,have you been to Irkutsk (eastern Siberia)? I am considering resigning from my Job to study general medicine (English medium) this November. I got invitation from Irkutsk state medical university, last November, but i couldn't travel Irkutsk due to my poor planing. I am a laboratory scientist,but,my ambition and passion is to be a general surgeon.The school offered me another admission last two weeks,but i have not taken a final decision concerning my Job(federal govt).I love Russia, their language is easy.I can pronounce majority of Russian Alphabets and i know most of their basic terms like privet, zradstuite,kak dela etc.I don't have a problem with the cold Siberia winter.

Irkutsk is almost all round cold winter , cold cold cold cold , just only one month summer enjoyment , 11 months round the clock is cold cold cold , for weather matter e cold ooo fact , but sha russia winter is not as bad the way people are saying it online , with good jacket u are warm no problem at all..i am also in siberia and sometmes minus 10 i dont put on jackets i go to store with just t shirt on because i am already used to it. I will not discourage u, no shaking just fly to Russia all good bro. Only info from the current students over there is that the toilet hostel is always messed up by the Chinese students..

Make dis guy just go abroad and complete his studies , don't be surprise , some1 is going to sponsor him abroad ..we all know that Nigeria education system is a big mess, the guy self get him own Bleep up but still i feel him courage and ginger ...notin do am oo...

You guys must be in Russia federation atleast minimum of 30 days before the expiration of your visa( invitation 3 month). Or else u might not be able to extend your visa on arrival ...take note..

Not yet but by first week of September by special grace of God but usually the procedure is after admission, you also need an invitation letter. You can request for that from the school unlike my school that you must pay tuition before they process it, but mine has been settled and they have submitted my invitation to the migration service office. After getting your invitation, you also need police deportation certificate and also police character certificate which can be gotten from the CID office either I garki abuja or alagbon ikoyi lagos, then your NDLEA certificate which is the most difficult but for it contact NDLEA office in your state of residence and find out. Then your waec certificate have to be legalized by the ministry of foreign affairs and education then also you will need to legalize it at the russian embassy which cost about 13500 or there about. After that fill the application form online, copy of data page, passport photographs (2), birth certificate legalized by MFA also, then medical test result for HIV, travel insurance valid in russia for atleast 3 months you can get that from iGI, mansard,conerstone or leadway insurance or any good insurance company you know. Then bank statement for the last six months, receipt of consular fee payment, admission/acceptance letter.

With these, you are good to go but still FBS will know better as he has already passed through it. Hope it helps. All the best bro!!

one month life health insurance is okay for student visa applicants , can be done at corner stone insurance company , cornerstone insurance is an official Russia embassy recommendation but its allow to use any insurance companies , . noted . insurance one month is okay , three month is useless and waste of money because its irrelevant after getting your visa..

I need to start gathering the required documents but I think my major challenges will be get getting the bank statement. What is the acceptable minimum deposit that should be available in the account. Also, how long does it take to get the NDLEA certificate.

. Bank statement ? Depends on your course . 1 point upwards at least .. But use your brain, u can apply with real pepper soup but with wrong meat or fish.. Use your brain to understand my parables .

(Russia education centre) this agency are owned by Ghanaians , they have collected a lot of money from Nigerians, mostly medical students applicants, kindly stay away from them, they are criminals, they ususlly collect fees at airport ( double fees) , the fees they told u is not official from universities , for those of u that love to apply through beautiful agency websites , just becareful ....

u can apply through agency if u wish , but don't pay fees to agents , pay fees direct to university , try to know the real cost of fees direct from university also . U can apply direct to universities.
