Thats incorrect its actually 3209 if you are talking of mbc or rodriquez tv on w3a. With a 90cm dish and good focusing with even 11185-91 v/h 3209 no hassles all day and night.

Arelukman: @Ball22 ,Some channels under dis Transponder are Free to Air but ,some are scramble .I track this bird in yesterday with 1.8m dish in Ibadan area ,I got 62% signal quality .... I don't know ur location at your end...

from lyngsat it seems the beam covers the whole continent of Africa and the beam is actually strong in west africa.

I dowloaded the software on the link which had several softwares for a wide ranch of Wiztech receivers and i clicked on the wiz 288 mpeg4. It was not specified wether it was a ccam or code edit patch may be you can help me on that one i will be very grateful

@Pidzo , do you have any idea about how one can make the patch of wiztec 288 mpeg4 to be displayed or the latest software with patch. A week ago Lunsat gave me a link bt the software is the same as the one in the decorder.

This boggles my mind. Can gurus tell me i have scanned w4 to get sentanta and other channels but only 8 channels pop out as tv channels the other 36 pop out as radio channwels. What could be the problem?

You knw i,m one of the frustrated man, i bought an mpeg 4 wiztech 288 and managed to track irib channels but the receiver has no patch option. If anyone in the house ever used this receiver pliz tell me how to get that patch option displayed. The seller told me to press menu then 6108 but it only displayed PATCH ENABLE and quickly disappears without leaving option to imput keys,Plz help before i throw the box in the bin.

Guys yesterday i was playing around with my 1.8m dish and came across this channel from South Africa called City News. I don't knw which sat is this but thre are about 8 tps which are active but no channels on them. The sat is between 38e and 52e i suppose. I was tracking with Wiztech 288-s2mpeg4 receiver.

Can someone help me my optma sports on Amos 5 C-band switches between Aplus and itself but a week ago the two channels were showing differently.

Yes, I have an mpeg4 wiztech 288-s2 and it picks even hd channels like now i'm watching ss6hd but there is also something quir about it, on w4/7 36e on that ting package it picks only 8 channels that is sentanta,cnn,ktn,ajazeera and the other 4 I forget but won't pick Emmanuel tv,mbc and all other latest additions

FreeTVguru: Guys I tracked w3c and got a 92% signal quality on scrambled french Channels the likes of Canal + etc but surprisingly the frequencies of those free channels are not hitting green, got 203 channels with only france24, kzn and bay tv showing,what should I do to hit green this frequency 10804? In southern Africa where caz if u are in SA and Zimbabwe and some parts of Zambia its very difficult to hit green on those 2 tps which beams fta channels caz the footprint covers central africa from Madagascar to West Africa slicing the north of Zim,Central Zambia and Malawi.

Oromia and mbc take their live matches from optma sports just like many other public broadcasters, i don't knw about rdv but i think as long as canal sat+ still broadcast epl RDV will be up and running as they take their matches from them. What happens with these rights as far as i knw broadcasters can enter into agreements with those who have exclusive rights like PTV SPORTS take their epl matches from espn australia, so for all fta hobbists all hope is not lost for free epl matches just wait for the season to kick off.

olenyi: Why not use a flash? But if u most, go to Crosat.us and download SRT LOADER. Dat's what u use on pc for software upgrade.

Thanks Olenyi i will use a flash. Another thing what cud be the problem when a receiver can pick up a signal and scan channels but freezes the moment the picture is supposed to be seen?

High Gurus i want to load software from pc to receiver via rs232 cable but the pc is not seeing the receiver. Can someone help me how do i go about it or there are some settings which need to be done first?

I never nailed multi tv here. What i have here is parksat 38, sirius4, ses5, amos5, w3a, w2a, and arabsat 5 at 20 degrees. With these satellites i can watch PTV Sports, tv 5 monde, Aljazeera sports1, RODRIQUES 2 commonly refered to as mbc 3 on this forum, Irib package, Oromia. With these at your disposal for a football fan like me you watch all top clash matches. Now that i have an hd receiver i am now working on trying to nail out of footprint birds to enjoy movies. Today i will take my receiver to my friend where the 8metre dish is mounted so we can try to track those birds. If i manage i will then take that huge pan to my residence.

@George D What is a jack axactly and how does one use it?Why i am asking is there is some dude here in Vic falls,Zimbabwe who is disposing his something like 8-10 metre dish like the one in that picture you posted and i want to try to use it caz he is disposing it for free.
