Our families on the earth are wonderful gifts from God, but they are temporary and fragile, often broken by divorce, distance, growing old, and inevitably, death...our spiritual family-our relationship to other believers-will continue throughout eternity. It is a much stronger union, a more permanent bond than blood relationships. (The Purpose Driven Life, pg 118) Pastor Rick, a pentecostal almost perfectly describes the Catholic Dogma of the Communion of Saints. except ofcz u want to argue now dat mary didn't make heaven.... is dat?[/quote]It was in vision Jesus saw them, not you, not "we" and not in person. don't mix it up. No Christian is in heaven right now until after the dead rise in Christ at the sound of the trumpet. Anyways, kindly refer to my questions from the previous pages, then we can converse. Why not ask the whole disciples to pray for you? why not your fellow "living" brethren as the bible recommended? Why gather round an image to solicit for "help" in prayers? Where in the bible did Jesus ask us to pray to Mary if we need his attention? Here's the lord's prayer: Our father Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours. Now and for ever. Amen. That's what Jesus taught us, where can "praying to Mary" be found there? |

FYi catholics do not just ask mary to pray for them but also hundreds of thousands of saints from all generations including the apostles.Now that you're asking for dead souls to pray for you, let me ask you, to ask God for anything, you're to ask in Jesus's name and in no other person's name, true or false? if true, why then do you need to go through Mary and every other "dead saints" you claimed you people pray to so that they will help "beg" Jesus to take their prayers to God? where did Jesus command us to go this route? He simply said, Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you, whatever is asked in my name shall be given. We have DIRECT access to God through Jesus and we do not need anyone else in between, if your faith is too small, join it with other living believer like you, why gather round an image just because you seek "help" from that image before your prayers can get to Jesus and in turn to God? 2 Likes |
