I’m typing this with unhappiness. I haven’t gone outside this week but decided today and picked up this ride of 2k on indrive. My network messed up I fixed it and it was gone. I later saw a message from indrive that I shouldn’t delay again to avoid getting blocked. I saw same order again and it was 1200. I knew the lady missed the address. When I got there I told her to confirm her destination was she talking to me with annoyance. I asked her again because from the first order I knew where she put isn’t where she was going to. I said ok. She even spoke aggressively to the gateman at the front of the estate. While on the way I followed google map and she said I shouldn’t turn I should ho straight. I told her was it not me who was telling you to confirm your destination? She was about talking aggressively I just turned my tire and told her I’m not going again even if indrive will deduct it. She was saying because of 2k. I ended the trip there and have her 1 star for conflict behavior.

I appreciate the mentions as I complained of the metal to metal sound underneath my car. One mechanic told me yesterday that it is the bushing at the back.

Please how are you guys coping with the very low fare on this platforms now?

Please guys I’m a bit mad. I ince complained of the exhaust of my Corrola hitting my car and making a metal to metal knocking sound when I’m on a bad road. I remember hearing that sound on my former Corrola then I used to think it’s the jack and tools in the boot but now I’m irritated by the sound in this my new Corrola.

My exhaust got divided into 2 some weeks ago and since then I’ve visited this panel beater to tighten my exhaust soo it stops hitting my car when I pass bad roads. I took it last week to mechanic thinking it’s not exhaust as another panel beater has viewed my exhaust and said it’s ok the mechanic said my shock is ok that it’s the exhaust. The panel beater went under the car and said done and again today after carrying 2 people in the back seat I hear the sound when I drive on a bad road.

Please is this normal as I’m not enjoying my driving experience on a bumpy road with people in back seat and hearing that metal to metal knocking sound

Indrive isn’t making sense anymore. Rida is the worst with that their sound I soo much dislike. Indrive map isn’t accurate anymore this days and the prices are somehow. I think the oga is just bolt. I did ShopRite Ikeja to Ogba yesterday with surge and traffic total was 5,500 naira. With that trip indrive will put like highest 2k and one driver will pick it. That was a distance of 2 hours 30 minutes yesterday. The weekend is here just watch indrive I noticed there’s a lot of indrive drivers on weekends who pick anyhow amount. It’s just because I don’t have the mind to drive in express now I would have been using only bolt

Please gurus I think newbies need your advice on this.

Both mainland and island where are the sure spots drivers can park car and wait for trips. Not knowing spots has affected me a lot.

Na the experience wey you gather on bolt you go use to hustle indrive. Indrive ain't as reliable as bolt is in terms of customer services.

Thanks for the advice. I’m familiar with alagbole as I’ve taken riders there before. I dislike bolt soo much because of the 25% commission that’s why I rarely use bolt. My driver score is 76% now there and will only use it when I’m ready to take any trip. Indrive gives the advantage of choosing where you want to go to. Bolt doesn’t care about anything that’s why I don’t use them. My experience yesterday taught me and I’ve learned from there

Hello guys. Yesterday Sunday morning This guy with the name tolu on indrive booked ride for his girl from Haruna around ogba to excellence hotel at ogba for 1k. I picked her up and told her to send money soo I can drop her at the gate. She kept saying the guy is sending it I got to the gate and had no choice to enter the hotel. The guy came out sat at the back seat smelling of Igbo and told the girl to go inside the hotel. He said I should take him to ojodu and back. He said 3k and I asked him if he his going to take time he said no. We got to yakoyo at ojodu he delayed me there even used my phone to call his dealer I guessed he wanted to buy Igbo. While on the way he asked me for 10k to clear something off on his palmpay I told him I don’t have. Right from when I picked up his girl at the beginning I knew something will be off about that trip. From yakoyo he said I should take him to alagbole I told him he will add 1k and he shouldn’t take time. He said ok. We got there I wasted 20mins and I changed it for him. He started saying shey he his paying for his ride. And I told him this waiting time he isn’t paying for it that he his delaying me that wasn’t the agreement. I told him to get down from my car got his number and sent my account number to him. Up till now I haven’t seen any money from him. His girl 1k trip and his 2k trip to alagbole I haven’t seen any. He doesn’t even reply my message. Indrive didn’t reply me as well when I contacted support. His name is tolu and this is his number 08130952893

Hello guys. My bolt driver score jumped from 81 to 76. I did just 2 trips back to back and didn’t cancel any trip. Please what’s the cause and if it’s an error how do I report to bolt to take it back to 81?

Hello guys please I noticed one of my car back speaker is sounding somehow when the music bass is high. Which means the speaker is bad

Please who knows how much to replace it? If it’s expensive to replace do they repair it? If it’s too expensive too is it possible to disconnect only that one since the other one behind is working

I learnt on the job,I remember anytime I'm on the island,I will be looking for ride back to mainland but now it's better but I still prefer to work on the mainland than island..... The best way is to ask the passenger for directions and make sure the Google map is on always...

I noticed my car owner seat wind down switch fell inside. It will be one passenger who pressed it and didn’t tell me it fell inside. Not sure I will fix it. Because if I do more people will keep pressing it

The refund balance cannot be used to pay your commission because it's under probation period.

Uptil the time elapses and the money goes back to your normal balance, it cannot be charged.

Since I started this business, I noticed from Thursday-Sunday are the best days for the job. Infact I noticed if I move around Ikeja I can make net of 10k in a day within 5-6 hours.

I’m deciding not to drive Mondays and Tuesday because everywhere seems to be always jam packed .

Among all the apps, I hate Indriver the most. How can you pay for commission on a trip that didn't happen.

I picked a guy at the price of 2400 at that Simbiat Abiola Way (medical road) and his destination was Tejuosho market.

When I turned to face the way heading to Yaba, the guy was like, where are you going, this doesn't look like the direction to magodo. I was like, which magodo?

It was then he informed me that he was going to magodo and not Yaba. That the person he booked Yaba for has gotten to Yaba since.

So, it happened that he just clicked on the last destination suggestion he inputted previously and ordered.

I had to park immediately for renegotiation. He said he can't pay more than 3500 to magodo in the afternoon when the map was saying 1 hour plus.

I told him not to worry, that I'm not going to magodo and he alighted from my car, meanwhile, Indriver has taken commission of 2400 for an unsuccessful trip.

I had to write to them to refund me my money and they did.

Over little thing, the ride will be locked and your commission forcefully taken. That's bullshit!

Concerning indrive whenever I enter a deal and cancel or rider cancel, I observe indrive takes out of my balance. And also under the refund place I have some money there. Please is that refund my money or what? Cos I notice when my balance is empty they start taking negative balance instead of taking out of the refund money

Chairman, no dey cancel orders on bolt as a new driver. Accept all incoming orders even to the places you said you don't want to go.
The way u take start ur own hustle no be the way. If bolt block you, na there you go know what's up.
Take all incoming orders till your scores go back up.
I don't even expect you to be declining/ignoring orders in your 1st month to the game.
You can't be selecting the areas you want to go with bolt, na legends fit do that cos they know their way around it.
With this your hustling way, if you don't want bolt to end you in "O God", I go advise you to quickly register on indrive should in case bolt block your account.
Cos the way I dey sense you, you fit chop creamy blocking on bolt.
And any time you see there's huge and mad traffic around you, go offline, except you're positioned in a good place with perfect road links well distanced from traffic roads. You go understand well later sha.

Please sir can you explain the bolded in simpler terms? My driver score is now 79% and it’s attention. From next week I won’t decline trips again and through this thread I’ve learnt how to stop new trips as that affected me too.

on Thursday I parked at Jara mall and quickly went to the market to make enquiries about a gadget I need for church,I quickly zoom so as not to pay more than #400 for parking in jara mall, while inside the Market I already knew bolt was red all through so I'm waiting to get near my car and go back online and immediately i got inside Jara mall I went online and I got a trip to airport, ride indicate local airport but it'd later change to International airport on 1.9 surge. I was trying to pay for my ticket when i mistakenly accept a ride on indrive and immediately the client called me.. I saw the price I accepted to be #2100 from Lasuth to Magodo phase 2, I told the rider I'm far from him but he said no that he is close by in my mind I laughed and cancelled the order and I was charged by indrive whereas my trip on bolt ended #2800 in 12 minutes.... When there is Surge nothing like Bolt but the commission will humble you without surge.

Please how do I know when there’s surge? My score has reduced and I’m a new driver because I decline request that come in. Some the prices are low for the distance and some becuase I don’t want to drive far. Just driving within some parts of mainland for now. I want to only go on bony when there’s surge

Omo the traffic and number of cars on Lagos roads this days is something else, no matter how familiar you are with Lagos roads and how you navigate you can't win escape Lagos traffic. Guys how una dey cope abeg, I have not been meeting my target of just 25k daily as a result of too much traffic, it's really frustrating

I think bolt is better this days. The prices on indrive is very ridiculous.

My first time at the airport yesterday and I got lost at Ikeja. Map was leading me to the express through a road that has been blocked good enough I asked some guys who told me to follow a particular Danfo which led me to Guinness. A good driver showed me the airport car park yesterday if not I would have been a victim of the airport touts I’ve read about here. I later noticed the google map was leading me to the airport car park.

It's not normal. Use another panel beater, let him inspect the exhaust system. Perhaps they worked another car exhaust there or your Rear shocks are bad.

Meanwhile why did you carry 4 people? Pity your car, the fares are too low these days.

Thanks. I’m trying to locate another panel beater. This man keeps telling me he has tightened the exhaust and yet I hear the sound when back seat is occupied. I’m scared of telling mechanic because even if the rear shock absorber is good they will tell you it’s bad.

When people who has weight sit at the back of my car when I drive into a bad road my exhaust hits my car under and makes noise. I observed it one time after a mad road made my exhaust tear into 2. Panel beater fixed it and I went back to tell him to tie the exhaust very well soo it doesn’t hit the car.

This morning while on a trip, 4 teenagers were at the back and I noticed it was constantly hitting the car and it got to a point my car sound changed. When I ended the trip, I looked under my car and realized my exhausted has cut into 2 again. Good enough I called the panel beater and got it fixed. This afternoon again 2 people who had weight sat in the back and when I enter into a speed bump it still hits the car.

Please is this normal with Corrola? Or the panel beater doesn’t know what he is doing? Although my former Corolla I use to hear the sound but I didn’t use it for e hailing that’s why I didn’t notice

Mind you, you can't be too selective on areas to work as a newbie. Your first and second month should take you almost round Lagos, by the end of the second month, you would have marked your no go areas.

Concerning where not to go, from this thread I’ve been told to avoid festac, satellite town, mile 2, ikorodu. Although I don’t know those places but when I see them on app I don’t bother.

Please is this how it works? And also is bolt now better than indrive? Indrive fare looks too cheap. The problem I have with bolt is that I can’t pick locations to go to and that has affected my driver’s score.

You are a baby cab driver,be very careful,traffic for 30 mins to pick up ke,don't pick any ride showing more than 900 metres to pick up and use navigation to get there.maybe you should hold on and get familiar with Lagos route first cause any mistake is unforgivable by lastma touts their penalties for traffic offences na like war.try and book ride urself and discuss with drivers.as per commission use your bank card to pay with the app. Maybe you should start reading from page 5000 sha.aviod satellite town at all cost and ikorodu.and the way you say you don't know your way to island is very scary sha no go, carry pesin go where dem no know.

I used to hear of going for physical inspection but I was surprised the app opened and activated for me and even I went online and saw a trip although I let the trip slide as I was just testing the app. Do you think I’m ready to use the app like that without going for physical inspection? As I don’t even know where they do the physical inspection.

And also on bolt app can I skip rides as I want the way Indrive does theirs?

Concerning me not knowing island, is it safe if I use google map and ask passengers for directions?

1) Indrive commission is 9.99% (just say 10%).

2) As a new person in the hustle, I go advise you register on bolt and make bolt your main cruise for probably a month. Though, bolt is not worth it as per say their commission is 25% of your earning. But bolt will take you to where you no know and that's where you will gather experience on your number (3) question.
In this hustle, lecturing won't teach you all you should know, experience is the best teacher.

4) don't click on a different price other than what the passenger proposes. If you see a ride with 2k, accept the 2k like that and don't negotiate. With that, you will get rides.
If you feel the amount is not reasonable considering the destination of the passenger, just ignore it and wait for more rides you can go with.

Yeah, there are routes you should avoid, but I know that it will depend on your judgement as later on.
When I started new, there's no where bolt didn't take me to.
E remain small dem for take me to sambisa forest. Ah! Bolt showed me shege and me being a newbie, na every ride I dey accept until I start to dey gather experience and picking from the experiences of the bosses on this platform.
So, you might need to register on bolt and use it for a while, so that you go know road well well and the places you should avoid.
Na the experience you gather on bolt is what will be your handpack to run indrive.
What you should be very concerned about is avoiding anything that will get you in the hands of LASTMA and those area boys.
Avoid anything one-way and illegal parking.
Well, with time, you will be able to identify the avoidable.
As someone said, avoid Ikorodu, Festac/Okota/Ago Palace environs.
You can only find me in those areas on Sundays (only) and the amount must worth it, and na once in a blue moon self. Sunday is always free of congestion and people move around for church fellowship - that's the reason.
You Wey never know your way to island heheheheeee, abeg avoid those areas.
The major armor of an experienced driver in this hustle is knowing all roads and locations, then other things follow.
The more you hustle, the more you know.
Please avoid driving at night till you gather enough experience that gives you confidence.

Hello guys. I own a Corrola and decided to give e hailing a trial base on current situations as money is needed. My first trip was 1,700 naira but it looks like a loss to me as before I picked passenger I was in traffic for about 30mins. She had to use bike to meet me to start trip. I was paid via transfer. And I am only registered on Indrive. My questions are below.

1. How much is indrive Commision and how do they get it? Because I was paid via transfer off the app.

2. I found it easier to register on indrive. I want to register for bolt. Do you think it’s worth it? Because I realize majority of drivers here talk down on bolt and also which other e hailing app should I register on?

3. Please very important, which routes should I avoid In Lagos state? I’m only familiar with ojodu and ogba area of Lagos state. In fact I don’t know my way to the island. Please I need advice on google map and areas to avoid.

4. I noticed riders don’t accept my ride if I click on the highest amount. Is it that all drivers go with the riders amount request or there’s a way around it?

Good evening boss. Please I drive a 02 Corolla sports. If I want to turn I hear this sound that vibrates the car. Mechanic changed gear seat and engine seat. Now if I want to turn I only hear it when I turn left like I want to reverse. He changed left ball joint same thing. Please what could be the cause sir?
